Chapter 66 - 66: Shisuis's special eyes.

Itachi was no ordinary Waterbender. He had been trained in combat since a young age, and his ideals aligned with the Red Lotus code. Although he was an idealist, he took pragmatic actions.

Because of this, his Waterbending training focused on its deadly applications. Perhaps the most impressive feat he achieved during his training was extracting water from plants. However, he didn't focus solely on brutality or efficiency; he also considered the spiritual aspect.

After Shisui started spreading what he called 'seeds,' people began to see their elements as more than tools; they saw them as extensions of themselves.

Itachi dabbled in the spiritual aspect of his element, which he had initially neglected due to his belief that achieving a 'better' world would be much easier with drastic measures. This belief greatly conditioned his current way of doing things.

Itachi was the type of person who, rather than going around an obstacle, would brutally go through it. In this sense, the best analogy for him would be the rapids of a river.

Despite all that, however, he had many doubts at the moment, despite being a knowledgeable person who knew about the intelligence related to Shisui's abilities.

The main one was... Why was Shisui more murderous than he was when he always projected the image of a still pond? Itachi never thought that beneath the still waters were the most cunning and dangerous predators.

Now, shrouded in mist, he could see nothing—not even his companions who had come with him to participate in the assassination attempt. He tried to bend the present water element, but the mist resisted him.

He made the smartest decision in such cases; he stood his ground while keeping his spear ready to react. Staying in the same spot would give Shisui a chance to attack, but Itachi thought that, with so little visibility, Shisui would not be able to locate him.

Suddenly, a terrible pain assaulted his body, and he fell forward. He felt a shiver run through his body as he discovered the source of the pain: his Achilles tendon.

He carefully felt the affected area and felt the warm touch of blood on his fingers. His tendon had been severed by an attack he hadn't sensed, despite his honed instincts from combat experience.

'How did it locate me? Could it be because of the mist?' thought Itachi. At another time, this thought would have been accurate.

Earthbenders could sense things using the earth element, and the same was true for Airbenders. He could sense creatures in water if he set his mind to it. However, he never thought it would be possible to do so in fog because of how sparse it was.

But he had dodged it. Shisui stood a few feet away from his enemy, looking at him with a smile in his eyes. Perhaps it was these eyes that set Shisui apart from others in this world—the only thing he had brought with him in his reincarnation, along with his memories.

Only those closest to Shisui knew he possessed a visual ability to see the world differently. Although similar to Ty Lee's aura perception, the two abilities differed.

Ty Lee's ability was passive, allowing her to constantly and relentlessly see and interpret the aura of living beings. In contrast, Shisui's ability to see auras was only one aspect of his visual ability.

Since this was a gift that had to be activated, he could not only see the aura, but also segment it. His vision focused only on the aura and its details; nothing else registered. In this state, the world had no form; the only thing with color and a vague appearance of forming something was the aura.

This would be a disadvantage for others because they would not be able to see their surroundings, but Shisui had adapted to this way of perceiving the world. Additionally, he could identify people's weak points by attacking where the various parts of their auras were mixed.

Shisui's Waterbending was much better developed than most, allowing him to bring his heightened perception of water to fog and better delineate his environment.

In his past life, when he was as insane as the rest of humanity, he always attacked with assassinations and backstabbing; few exceptions existed.

He prowled the outside world at night, creeping into darkened buildings and traveling through forests. He even roamed the city when gloom reigned supreme. He had become something of a night stalker, with only moonlight as his companion.

Until he fell in love. Until he died. Though his end was the same as other humans gone mad, he had many advantages in this life. However, his character, dedicated to cheating and taking advantage of flaws, never left him. He was a controlled opportunist.

Now, with resources and the ability to Waterbend, as well as much better physical talent, he began to fight head-on. However, he never stopped being a silent killer. Now, he would bring the terror he caused in his past life into this world.

A strange coldness seeped through his mind as his temperament changed. Long ago, he had learned to awaken his emotions when he activated his gift. Now, he let this strange feeling of muted emotions return.

Although there was a smile on his face, it was forced. It was as if he were mimicking a real smile, and it gave off an eerie feeling. Anyone who saw it would feel like they were looking at something inhuman, just an imitation.

After watching Itachi try and fail to stand up, Shisui tilted his head as if he didn't understand what he was seeing before choosing another target. This time, he wanted to take away the fear he could inspire in others, just as he did when he invaded their lairs in the dark.

He slowly approached an Earthbender who had cleverly covered himself in rock armor. Shisui ignored this and gripped the shaft of his spear tightly, letting specks of chi orbit the tip.

He made sure that many chunks of ice fell randomly in the mist-covered area to confuse the seismic senses of the Earthbenders, so they would not notice his approach. Once in position, his emotionless eyes saw the man's aura and detected a mixture of colors twisting and combining. The most predominant color was confidence.

Despite the negative emotions growing within him, such as fear and anxiety, the Earthbender was confident. Shisui did not care about this; he simply found a point where the auras blended and stabbed hard.

A sonic boom was caused by his spear. Whatever reaction the Earthbender had was slow. The tip of Shisui's spear pierced his enemy's right eye, shattering the rock and piercing his skull.

Shisui deliberately kicked his victim's body, making more noise than necessary. He noticed that the auras of the others were tinged with fear, but this didn't matter to him because he could see how emotions twisted due to his visual ability.

Shisui approached his only target in this fight: Itachi. The others were merely appetizers to spice up Itachi. This was his method of hunting and killing. To add more seasoning, he controlled some of the mist near Itachi with his left hand, clearing his vision.

Itachi managed to support his body with his spear after using the stored water to heal his wound. He looked at his partner's body lying on the ground, stained with blood.

This hurt him. They had trained together and spent a great deal of time together, but now he was dead because of his target. Itachi's eyes turned red with anger, but he didn't let it overpower him. He simply looked around before speaking.

"Sage Shisui! You're watching me now. I won't give you the pleasure of seeing me lose control. I'll find you. I'll kill you. I'll rid the world of you." Even though Itachi was still talking, Shisui ignored him after realizing he was missing more 'condiments.'

He had to keep cooking. Silently, without speaking, Shisui approached two other enemies. He had let them meet so they could protect each other. These two Earthbenders had their backs pressed against each other; one of them had white makeup on her face.

A Kyoshi warrior. Shisui didn't care what one of these female soldiers was doing with such a group. It was known that these women maintained neutrality, acting only when provoked—something the Fire Nation did not do.

Why would they tempt an elite group of women with the legacy of an Avatar? Besides, the leader of that group was said to be a powerful Earthbender—perhaps not on Bumi's level, but on a level that the Fire Nation respected.

Shisui had no compassion; he couldn't feel it when his gift covered his emotions. Azulon described it as a perfect ability to kill, and he was right.

This time, Shisui didn't use his spear, but rather the mist that enveloped everyone. He let it slowly seep through the noses, mouths, and ears of the two enemies he had encountered.

Perhaps they sensed something because they tried to attack their surroundings by creating earthen and rock spikes. However, this silent invasion continued even after they covered their bodies.

Their clothes were wet, and the water slowly seeped through their skin and into their blood. Thus, even though it was not a full moon and others 'Lifes' naturally resist manipulation, Shisui had slight control over this vital liquid. He took control of the blood of his victims.

The water introduced into their bodies acted in various ways, causing intense screams of pain. The water they breathed in through their noses condensed into ice needles that wounded their lungs, rendering them unable to breathe properly.

The mist that entered their mouths turned into hot water that wreaked havoc on their stomachs and intestines. The water in their ears turned cold, causing pain and impairing their sense of balance.

The most fatal effect occurred when the blood mixed with water under Shisui's control reached their hearts; there, it transformed into tiny ice blades that shattered their hearts.

Even after they died, their bodies did not fall. All the water was dispersed into their limbs and mixed with their blood. Shisui then controlled their corpses because there was no longer any 'Life' resisting his will.

His puppets attacked the two remaining Earthbenders, exerting greater force because their brains could not limit their physical strength. Shisui also let Itachi watch as the corpses of his two companions attacked the remaining pair.

"You bastard! You're playing with human life!" Itachi tried to help his friends. The water he stored in bottles surged in front of him like a raging river.

But when he separated the two Shisui-controlled corpses from his other two companions and felt a shred of happiness, screams of pain assaulted his ears again. Bloody steam rose from their bodies, and soon, they fell limp on the ground, dead. Shisui had boiled the water on their bodies to death.

Such horrible sights and cruel ways of taking lives without consideration, ethics, or morals made Itachi feel true terror. This drew a smile to Shisui's face, even though his golden eyes were as cold and dark as the ocean's depths.

If Itachi was a raging river, then Shisui was the ocean: its vastness, prosperity, and the fear embodied in its dark depths.

With a swift movement, Shisui impaled Itachi's back, thrusting half of his spear through Itachi's body and lifting him high as if he had speared a fish. The last thing Itachi saw were golden eyes that conveyed not a warm glow but chaos, deep chaos mix of kindness and malevolence.

Shisui was a Sage; it's normal for Sages to know how to kill, isn't it?

AN: Esto tengo que decirlo en español para que se entienda, pero Shisui en este capitulo tuvo ESENCIA. HAHAHA xD.

You'll rarely see this side of Shisui. It's just one facet of who he is. I'll always prefer writing about the funny side of him because that's his true self.

In this AU, Kyoshi Warriors are Earthbenders, most of them.

Ok, I wanna make a Q&A! Write on this paragraph a question! Only about this fanfic or another story I have upload in this site. You can try a personal question, but maybe I won't answer it.
