Chapter 262 - Chapter 262: This Place Feels Off

"Aliens?"

"Spaceships?"

Upon hearing Tights's words, both Yamiru and Master Roshi were stunned.

An alien suddenly showing up like this was truly unexpected. Master Roshi quickly asked, "Could it be another Saiyan?"

Although Master Roshi had never personally seen Goku's father, Bardock, he had sensed his aura from afar when Bardock was resurrected— and it was truly terrifying. In fact, not even Bardock's power at 12,000 battle power could compare to the overwhelming strength of Goku's giant ape form at the 19th World Martial Arts Tournament.

It was clear just how powerful the Saiyans were.

Now, with Tights mentioning that another alien had come to Earth, Master Roshi couldn't help but feel worried. After all, not every alien was as friendly as Goku and his family.

Yamiru was equally startled. An alien? Which alien?

The timeline didn't add up either. Goku's spacecraft and the detectors from Gine had their communication functions dismantled, meaning Earth couldn't contact or be contacted by the Freeza Force. So, was this alien situation similar to what happened with Jiora?

"I don't know about that," Tights said, "Bulma didn't go into much detail over the phone. It seems like she and her dad found the landing point of the spaceship and are planning to check it out, so they asked if we were interested."

"Isn't it a bit dangerous for them to go alone?" Even Master Roshi, usually so laid-back, became serious.

"..." Korin licked his paw, remaining detached from the discussion. As a transcendent being responsible for guarding the Korin Tower's legacy, he didn't involve himself in the conversation and quickly excused himself.

"How cold. Is this how sages are?" Tights mumbled.

Yamiru replied, "He probably went back to Korin Tower to use the items there to check things out."

As for coldness, it was true. Even Goku, in the later chapters of the manga, became increasingly indifferent, especially after his death and journey to the afterlife. And beings like the Earth god, Korin, and other celestial figures—such as the fortune teller or the Supreme Elderly Lord on the Mount Five Elements—if their physical bodies were destroyed, could likely recreate bodies in the afterlife with halos. These "official gods"—could they even be considered "living beings" in their self-awareness? Yamiru reserved his judgment.

Master Roshi said, "In that case, let's not waste time and head to West City to meet up. We need to figure out if this alien is friend or foe."

"Then let's go." Tights was about to use a method to leave the Spiritual Realm when Yamiru grabbed her wrist, stopping her.

"That's too troublesome," Yamiru shook his head, "Since we created a platform like the Spiritual Realm, it should be used for convenience."

Focusing his mind, Yamiru adjusted the entry rules for the Spiritual Realm.

...Conditions: (Battle Power around 100–200) ∪ (Tights's family)

...Location: Universe 7, Earth

Master Roshi was still puzzled, but Tights had a rough idea of Yamiru's plan.

Sure enough, within moments, two figures appeared beside them, both Bulma and her father, Dr. Briefs, with curious looks on their faces.

"Hey, it's Yamiru and Tights, and..." Dr. Briefs, holding a cigarette, asked Master Roshi, "Are you Korin Yamiru mentioned?"

Master Roshi fumed, "How do you even see a cat here? I'm the Turtle Hermit, Turtle Hermit!"

"Oh, I see!" Dr. Briefs nodded.

"Is this the Spiritual World that my sister was talking about?" Bulma asked curiously, looking around the island that seemed to condense Earth's most unusual sights, "It looks like Earth."

Dr. Briefs sighed, "The Dragon Balls are truly amazing."

"Let's not talk about the Spiritual Realm for now. Let's talk about the alien you found," Yamiru asked. "What's going on? How did you suddenly discover an alien came to Earth?"

Master Roshi added, "Yeah, what if it's an evil alien..."

Tights chuckled, "Well, it's probably fine, right? From what Goku told me, his dad surpassed the 2 million battle power threshold for the Super Saiyan transformation over a year ago. He left Mount Paozu to train on his own and push for Super Saiyan. Even if some evil alien invades Earth, with Uncle Bardock around, there's nothing to worry about, right?"

No, what's truly concerning is provoking the Freeza Force too early... Yamiru silently thought. Since the world expanded with Dragon Ball Super, even with Super Saiyan-level strength, a time traveler would have to carefully weigh if they could handle Freeza's "two-month transformation, almost as dangerous as Super Blue" wealth of power...

Thus, he shook his head and said, "It's better to be cautious."

Yamiru and Master Roshi exchanged glances, silently asking Dr. Briefs and his daughter.

"Because we've done research on Jiora's and Son Goku's spaceships before, we now have quite a bit of relevant technology in our hands," Dr. Briefs exhaled a puff of smoke and sighed. "Otherwise, we wouldn't have been able to detect the arrival of these aliens."

"No 'probably' about it. We definitely wouldn't have noticed," Bulma said. "When Jiora and the alien criminals he was chasing arrived, and even when Jaco showed up, we didn't notice them at all." Her father nodded in agreement.

Years had passed, and Bulma, now twelve, had entered puberty. She had grown a lot taller, and her expression was more youthful and lively.

Yamiru, Tights, and Master Roshi each placed a hand on Bulma and Dr. Briefs' shoulders.

"Is it okay for us to handle this?" Dr. Briefs asked.

Yamiru nodded. With that, the five of them left the Spiritual Realm Earth Island and in the next moment appeared in the private research lab at Bulma's house in West City. Bulma and her father moved exactly the same as when they left. Yamiru, Tights, and Master Roshi appeared randomly beside them.

Bulma mumbled, "This is amazing..."

"So, did you manage to track where they landed?" Yamiru and Master Roshi both asked, eager to know the answer.

Dr. Briefs nodded, walked over to the control panel in the lab, and typed rapidly on the keyboard. A map soon appeared on the screen. After zooming in, a very "ET-style" alien icon appeared, indicating the location where the alien had landed.

"Actually," Dr. Briefs, cigarette in mouth, pointed to the location on the screen and said, "It's a place where an old acquaintance lives."

"An acquaintance?"

"You'll see when we get there."

So, the five of them boarded a high-speed aircraft with a stronger engine and sped toward the place Dr. Briefs mentioned.

"Hey, Bulma, who's this acquaintance your dad mentioned?" Tights quietly asked her sister from the spacious backseat of the plane.

Looking out at the passing clouds, Bulma leaned back and answered her sister, "It's Dr. Norimaki. That location is his village, Penguin Village. It's so remote that it's not even named on the map."

"That perverted..." Tights muttered under her breath.

Before long—

The high-speed plane finally reached its destination, slowly descending into Penguin Village.

"This place just feels so strange..."

As Yamiru opened the cabin door and jumped out, he had already felt something was off about this village from the moment he looked down at it from the sky. It seemed to have a completely different atmosphere from anywhere else.

Dr. Briefs, Master Roshi, Tights, and Bulma followed Yamiru as they walked through the streets of Penguin Village. As expected, they all noticed the environment was drastically different from the outside world. It seemed to have a bizarre, fairytale-like ambiance.

For example, a young girl who had just passed by them, annoyed by the cawing of a crow above her head, suddenly shouted at the sky. Her words physically manifested as real "letters" in the air, which she grabbed and threw at the crow, knocking it out of the sky with a loud slap.

"..." The sight left Yamiru and the others, each of them feeling increasingly out of place, as if they had entered a completely different world.
