And with that, our journey with Jiang Qiao and his... unique ability comes to a close. It's been quite a ride, and I'm a little sad to see it end, but also proud to have brought the complete story to all of you.
First and foremost, a massive thank you goes to #LostSoldier1. You were the one who first brought this fanfiction to my attention, and without your suggestion, none of this would have happened.
Translating this has been a genuinely enjoyable experience (sometime). What truly captivated me was the central premise: Jiang Qiao's ability to not just inhabit a body, but to become a 'better,' more idealized version of that character and Ratio them.
The humor, especially in the early chapters with Elysia, was fantastic and had me laughing out loud on several occasions. I also have to commend the original author's creative expansion of the canon lore.
For example the development of Glamoth into a full-fledged empire and the deeper dive into the Aeons were executed brilliantly, feeling like a natural to canon universe.
Now, on a more personal note, if I'm being honest, the more explicit R-18 and harem elements weren't entirely to my taste. I felt the story's charm, character work, and humor were strong enough on their own (even if there some character shift from canon if any like Elysia become idiodka)
So, what's next?
With this project complete, my eyes are on the horizon.
I have a backlog of potential fanfics waiting to be translated, and I plan to filter through them to find another high-quality story that we can all enjoy. I'm leaning towards stories centered on some of my favorite characters, like Elysia, Otto, or Kiana.
Additionally, I'm seriously considering returning to a couple of projects that were put on the back burner: "Honkai: Man (Sludge) From Future" and "Bizarre Honkai, a Wife-Chasing Crematorium." (just don't expect too much)
But I'd also love to hear from you! What would you like to see next? Are there any hidden gems you think deserve a translation? Let me know in the comments.
Finally, thank you, the reader. Your support, your comments, and your enthusiasm are what make projects like this possible and worthwhile. It's been an honor to bring this story to you.
Until the next adventure!
