Chapter 7 - Chapter 7- UA Sports Festival Part 1

Back up had arrived, the Hero: Snipe, managed to cause damage to Shigaraki before the mist villain fully retreated.

Afterwards, the heroes gathered the students, caring for those that were injured and making sure those that weren't were ok, mentally and emotionally.

All the students still able to walk on their own looked at the unconscious Kashimo, some with saddened and distraught faces at the condition of their classmate.

Others at the bravery that he showed while facing villains. Even some teachers had nothing but respective looks for the child.

"He'll be fine young heroes. This is only a stepping stone in his long journey as a hero. This is only the start and he'll only bloom even more as if a late flower during spring.

Worry not Class 1-A, you shall all prevail from this occurrence and leave out stronger than ever."

This was All Might speaking. He had seen the looks on the students faces and didn't want to be left discouraged at the current predicament.

It didn't take long for the heroes to clear out USJ and with the help of some nearby precincts, it went even faster.

[2 weeks later]

In a span of 2 weeks, just before the start of the UA Sports Festival, Class 1-A had recovered.

The ones who were injured at least…

2 days after the incident, the principal of UA High, Nezu, had a small press conference.

Camera lights flashed as News Reporters and Journalists took pictures and threw questions at the three individuals standing on the stage, each with their own podiums and microphones.

"Principal Nezu, could you describe the incident and how the heroes let these young students face such dangers?"

A reporter asked, his face had a bit of anger on it as he thought about those students.

"It would seem that somehow the villains had found out the plans for the class and infiltrated the facility with one of their Quirks.

To answer your second question, although we responded as fast as we could communications had been hit and shut down, so there was of course a delay." Nezu responded calmly.

"There are reports stating that one of the villains have been captured, is this true?" Another asked.

"Yes, it's true. Not that villain but 71 others as well." He answered with a nod.

"How do you all plan on helping the students not just physically but also mentally injuries!?" A journalist yelled.

"Of course by giving them nothing but the best that UA has to offer when it comes to healing not only the body but also the mind." Nezu said with a confident smile.

"Last question. We have much to take care of at the moment." He stated.

He scanned the crowd for a few seconds before picking someone.

"Yes you, what's your question?" Nezu asked.

"I'm sure everyone is wondering the same as me, but will you still be hosting the annual Sports Festival after everything that's happened?"

Silent murmurs spread throughout the room as they waited for an answer. A few seconds pass as silence enveloped the room. Then someone spoke.

"Yes…the UA Sports Festival shall still take place, but…it's not because of tradition, no, this is to show you all and the villains that had the audacity to attack students of UA High that such things are only stepping stones for these young up and coming heroes.

I'm sure you all know by now that one of our best students has been injured pretty badly, but watch as he comes back stronger then ever and show the will of those who aspire to protect the weak. Watch as he shows why UA isn't just some small pebbles you can walk on but giant boulders that take years to push even by an inch." This was Aizawa who had spoke surprising his colleague Present Mic.

The New Reporters and Journalists were speechless and couldn't help but clap when the teacher of class 1-A finish speaking.

Now the day of the Festival had arrived…well not yet it was a week left before the day came.

Right now we could see the home of Kashimo, out front was said person in his school uniform. His mother had given him a mouthful telling him to be more careful.

She had made him take a week of school off to fully recover. She was going to make him stay even more but he insisted that he would be fine to go back.

He started walking to the train station and was deep in thought while doing so.

'I've got to get stronger…that display was pitiful…how am I supposed to protect those I love when I can barely protect myself…'

'I can't even handle the full power of my quirk without my damn body breaking down…'

Since Kashimo had awoken, he had been ridiculing himself, sometimes tuning out everyone by mistake, only thinking of his weak self.

He still felt slight pain in his body and even more when his quirk is activated.

He lifted his sleeve a bit and small fissures from the use of his Black Flash move were still there.

'This can't stay like this…I can't stay like this…I have to get stronger…"

Unknown to Kashimo, as he walked he didn't notice that every once in a while small arcs of lightning would streak out of his body.

They would be mostly purple but from time to time it would flash red and black before going purple once more.

Kashimo now stood in front of the towering door of class 1-A. With his enhanced senses, mostly his hearing, he could already hear the banter of his classmates.

Some spoke about what they'd be doing today. Some spoke about what they did at the USJ incident when they were separated and some spoke of him.

About his return and how he was doing. Although he had been speaking to some of them his first few days here, they weren't actually friends yet so nun of them could reach him.

Anyway, just as he was about to open the class door, he heard footsteps to his left. Walking towards him was their homeroom teacher Aizawa.

"Glad to see you've returned, Kashimo." The lazy voice of said man reached his ears.

Kashimo observed his teachers body and unlike in the original where Aizawa had been wrapped fully in bandages, only his arm that the villain Shigarki touched had been bandaged and in a sling.

Although, he had been treated and healed, to make sure his arm would fully recover, it was put in the sling.

"Good to see you too, Sensei." Kashimo gave a slight bow but was surprised at the next actions of his teacher.

As Aizawa stood in front of him, he suddenly bowed his head.

"I'm sorry, Kashimo Hajime. Not only as your teacher but also as a hero for allowing you to fight and put yourself in more danger then called for.

It was unbecoming of me to even allow you to fight along side me and even allow you to get injured to such degree…"

Kashimo stared for a second before a smile graced his face.

"Aizawa-sensei, I know what I was up against after the first few attacks. It was me that chose to stay and fight instead of running away.

So I ask you not to blame yourself for my injuries and only congratulate me on my accomplishment of surviving and still being able to return and learn under you."

Aizawa was about to retort but when he looked up and met the eyes of Kashimo and he understood the look of his student.

He understood that anything else he said would only cause something unpredictable to happen…

So he just nodded and they walked both then walk into the class after a few moments of silence.

"The UA Sports Festival is just around the corner. This years sports festival will not only the be the most anticipated but also the most spectated.

Not only will the whole of Japan be watching, but the whole world will be watching. The USJ Incident has already spread like wildfire and UA, especially class 1-A, will show how that was just a stepping stone into making you all excellent heroes in the near future."

As Aizawa spoke more and explained the importance of this year's Sports Festival, all of class 1-A were deeply tuned in and made sure to listen to everything he was saying.

Lunch had come around and the classmates could all be seen sitting.

"Kashimo Hajime…I don't know how this sports festival will be this year but it matters not as I'll defeat you."

Everyone turned their heads as they heard the person speak. It was Todoroki Shoto, the son of the Number 2 Hero: Endeavor.

"No, it'll be me that defeats him Icy-Hot!!" This time it was the hothead Katsuki Bakugo or as Midoriya Izuku called him Kacchan who spoke.

"I want all of you to try your very best, if not I'll crush you all."

Everyone felted a slight tingle in their bodies almost like a small electric shock hit them and they all just stared as Kashimo smiled at them.

"What's going on here!" OchakoUraraka yelled as she open the door to the classroom.

Dozens of UA students crowded around the door of class 1-A as they prepared to go home.

"What are they doing here!?" The purple head pervert said nervously.

"They've come to see their competitors. Well, you can't really call it that can you." Bakugo said with a smirk.

"For people like me, we'll of course wipe the floor with them." As he said this he glanced at Kashimo and Todoroki before leaving, the two right behind him.

The crowding students just moved out of the way as the top 3 of class 1-A made their way out of the class and into the hallway.

And that was how their day ended. A week before the UA Sports Festival. Giving them all time to train.

[Deep in a forest]

The dark sky, covered with dark clouds, thundered as the large storm was down on the forest.

On a cliff, a shirtless Kashimo could be seen holing a rod.

"I've got to get stronger."
