"How do you feel?" I casually asked, glancing at Nadia who moved to stand just a step behind me.
Considering the true functions of the pills I had given the woman, I had expected some telling reaction from her body as it digested them.
The seamlessness with which the pill had gone into the woman's system had me internally surprised and thinking.
"Well... I've never had anything like this before," the woman looked at her arms.
"My body feels lighter. It's like I've been carrying a heavy burden for the past years, and it's finally been taken off."
"That's good."
I turned back to the battle, not wanting to give Nadia any reason to suspect the pills I had given her were something more than I described but she continued.
"My mind... God, that thing is addictive. My head is light, but at the same time, I'm grounded.
Where did you get those pills?"
"It's an exclusive product, above your pay grade."
"I could do with a few," Nadia stylishly asked.
