Dorma Anim, a Magic Weapon deemed to be so dangerous its use is forbidden under the law. The only exception is during emergencies and when they use it, they need to win because this weapon uses the planet's magic power as its fuel.
It keeps absorbing the world's already low amount of magic power. That's why they need to win once they use Dorma Anim, so that the magic power they use won't be wasted for nothing.
In a way, this Magic Weapon is similar to Nirvana on how it takes the planet's magic power as its fuel. But Dorma Anim is also made of materials that can repel magic and the only known Magic that it can't block is Dragon Slayer Magic.
It really makes Alex curious about what kind of material can have such an effect. The material might have similar properties with Dragon Scales because Dragons are also immune to common magic, but not their own magic.
Although in Dragons' cases, they should still get damages from other magic. It's just that the damages from human magic are minimum. Maybe God or even Devil Slayer Magic can cause more damage to Dragons, especially God Slayer Magic that has a higher tier than Dragon Slayer Magic.
However, Alex doesn't know if the Tailed Beast Magic can also damage the Dragons or even the Dorma Anim. This will be a good chance to test it. If he can damage Dorma Anim, then he should have a better chance to damage Dragons.
For now, he at least knows he doesn't have any problem with his firepower. His attack doesn't lose to Dorma Anim's powerful attack and he doesn't even use his best Tailed Beast Bomb to create that Tailed Beast Bomb: Cannon.
Then, the reason why the King already uses Dorma Anim even though it will only be used as the last resort is because their cannon that can shoot Anima power to crystalize the Giant 9-Tailed Demon Fox is broken.
When they sneaked into the castle to find the device that controls Anima, Laxus's group overheard the King's plan to shoot Anima's power to crystalize Alex. So Laxus decided to destroy the cannon while Mystogan and Edolas Alex continued to find the Anima Control Device.
It was after they saved Lucy, so Lucy followed Laxus when he destroyed the cannon. Laxus knew that Alex wanted to take people's attention to distract them, so Mystogan can have an easier time finding the Anima Device.
That's why Laxus also destroyed the cannon in a high-profile manner. He destroyed the cannon when the King and Byro were there. Other than because he didn't know its location, he also wanted to get them out of the castle.
So he used a big flashy spell after finding a party mask to hide his face. Byro attacked him by throwing a vial filled with white liquid that created some big lightning currents after being thrown to the floor and broken.
The lightning currents hit Laxus who did nothing but stands there. Byro smirked, but then it turns into a shock when he saw Laxus wasn't affected at all. Well, just some lightning currents won't have any effect on Laxus.
Instead, they will energize him because he really ate them, surprising everyone there except for Lucy. Laxus smirked and called them stupid for using Lightning against him before he shot a lightning bolt at Byro, knocking the old man out.
Then he and Lucy left the castle after hearing many guards coming. It should be easy for Laxus to take out the Guards, but he ust wanted to make the King left the castle. Well, it worked, but the King left with a more troublesome weapon now.
"Sigh, he should've just hit the King too. Now it becomes more annoying." Alex sighs and Laxus who hears it feels annoyed, but Laxus says nothing to maintain their acting performance. He is the Great Demon Fox's subordinate, after all, so he can't talk back to his Master.
Alex grabs Lucy on his head and puts her on the ground. He also gives her Kurama Chakra Cloak to buff her. Only Laxus doesn't receive it and Alex believes Laxus doesn't need it even if he needs to fight all the enemies here.
Suddenly, the flying Dorma Anim shoots numerous missiles. They fly toward Alex like rain and if they hit, the explosions will affect the whole battlefield. This damn King doesn't even care about his own soldiers which pissed Alex.
"Tsk! Truly a scum." Alex takes a deep breath after saying that and he roars very loudly, even louder than his previous roars. Everyone in the battlefield is forced to close their ears because it's so loud, especially for the Dragon Slayers who have very sensitive ears.
Fortunately, this roar isn't aimed at them, so their eardrums don't burst. After all, the roar is capable of destroying the incoming missiles, making them explode in the air and even repelling their explosions away. It even pushes back the Dorma Anim that flies quite far.
"What kind of weapon is that? Why must it look like a Dragon? A toy dragon that is." Alex smirks while creating a small Tailed Beast Bomb on his right hand. Then he throws it at Dorma Anim.
King Faust is really confident with Dorma Anim's resistance towards Magic other than Dragon Slayer Magic. So he blocks the minu Tailed Beast Bomb with Dorma Anim's left hand and it doesn't go as he expected.
"WHAT?!" The King is surprised when he sees what happens to Dorma Anim's left arm.
The mini Tailed Beast Bomb explodes in Dorma Anim's left hand and breaks it apart. Is loses almost its whole left arm which is actually surprising because Alex thought the damage would be bigger than this.
Well, he only sent a weak Tailed Beast Bomb, that's why it's called Mini Tailed Beast Bomb, because it's small and weak. But while it's weak, it can kill people instantly if they don't have good defense.
Dorma Anim's body is obviously tougher than people's bodies, so it can withstand the explosion power much better than people's bodies. Its magic resistance doesn't seem to help but its materials are still tough, so it can withstand that attack and only loses an arm.
Even so, seeing Dorma Anim losing an arm is enough to shock the King, the Commanders, and everyone else who knows about Dorma Anim's power. After all, for them, it's an ultimate weapon that's stronger than any of their weapons.
It should be immune to magic other than Dragon Slayer Magic. Yet its left arm is broken instantly by that Mini Tailed Beast Bomb. This really shocks them and now they look at the giant Fox with more fear in their eyes.
"Heh, as I thought, there was no material that is resistant to everything except for 1 type of magic."
Alex thinks that maybe they thought that it didn't have resistance just towards Dragon Slayer Magic because it's the only type of Advanced Magic they knew.
Probably because Dragon Slayer Magic is the most famous Advanced Magic and it was because of the war between Dragons and Humans that lasted for a very long time in the past.
Dragon Slayers were very famous back then because they were the only humans who could defeat Dragons, and there was Acnologia as well. So the legends of Dragon Slayers are still well known to this day.
Other Slayer Magic like God and Devil Slayer Magic are not known that much. The same also applies to other Advanced Type Magic, Lost Magic, and Ancient Spells that are not known well among Mages with only a few percent of high-ranking Mages know them.
Maybe too, Dorma Anim is only resistant to Human Magic. But it's not resistant to other creatures' magic, that's why the Tailed Beasts' Magic works. Or maybe the spell was just too strong, stronger than Dorma Anim's resistance to magic.
Either way, his Tailed Beast Magic works against Dorma Anim. So he won't have any problem fighting it. He has thought of using physical attacks if his magic doesn't work, but it doesn't seem to be necessary now.
It gives him another problem though. Now he needs to think about how to make his battle against the King look a little difficult. If he defeats the King that uses Dorma Anim too easily, then it will be more difficult to act when he needs to fight Mystogan.
They need to make the fight more realistic because Mystogan will fight a giant Demon Fox with an incredible power to show his power. But if Alex shows too much power, then the fake fight will be too strange and look obviously fake.
So he can't show too much power against the King, but still shows that he is stronger than Dorma Anim. Holding back isn't easy and he can't mess this up or the fake fight will look very strange later, which will make problems for Mystogan's time as a King.
