Light slanted in through the celestial curtains of Chase's master bedroom, illuminating the sprawling bed where Chase and his wives lay like war casualties. Chase groaned first, dragging his hand across his face as divine particles of glitter still clung to his Curly golden hair from the previous night's chaotic festivities. His head throbbed—not from alcohol; gods didn't suffer hangovers in the traditional sense—but from overstimulation. So many conversations, lights, declarations of eternal family love, and at least three inebriated wrestling matches between Ares and Apollo.
Beside him, Artemis lay curled up, her black hair a tangled halo of midnight. She didn't snore—she was too elegant for that—but a soft, disgruntled sound left her lips as Chase moved. "The gingerbread multiverse was so tasty… Chase more of those chocolate covered parts~" she muttered sleepily, shifting closer to him.
