Chapter 37 - Reuniting with the princess

When I opened my eyes, Evile was still on my chest. Her body was cold but comforting; she had wrapped her arms around me and rested her head on my heart. Her steady breathing felt like a slight vibration on my chest. It was difficult not to get caught up in the warmth of the moment, but we had a job to do.

So I tried to wake her up. I gently stroked her head, my fingers slipping through her golden hair. Then I placed a brief kiss on her forehead.

"Hmmm... Felix-sama... five more minutes..." she murmured in a sleepy and slightly grumpy voice. Without even opening her eyelashes, she burrowed deeper into the blanket.

Smiling, I said, "We need to get ready for Albedo-sama's mission," and gently pinched her cheeks to bring her back to reality.

"Okay... I'll be ready in five minutes," she replied.

Then she took a deep breath, yawned, and slowly began to sit up, but her eyes were still sleepy.

I left the room without waiting for her. When I went downstairs, the team was already awake. A light breakfast was being prepared on the table, and the tableware was being set.

"Good morning, Felix-sama," they said in unison. Of course, Gargaran's deep voice stood out the most among the others.

"Good morning, girls. Are you ready for duty?" I said as I walked toward the table.

"A little preparation will suffice. Will Nabe-sama be joining us?" asked Lakyus, sitting elegantly on the chair next to me.

At that moment, Evile entered the room. Her eyes quickly searched for me, and upon finding me, she came directly to my side and sat silently next to me. There was a slight smile on her lips, and she was smiling warmly at me.

However, Evileye's sincere behavior did not please Lakyus. With a gaze reminiscent of a lioness, she immediately wrapped her arms around my other arm, as if to declare her territory. Evileye did not back down from this confrontation; she held on to my other arm and pressed herself against me with the same determination.

But they had forgotten one thing.

I did not belong to them. They belonged to me.

I wrapped my arms around both of their slender waists and pulled them toward me. I embraced them both silently, then kissed Lakyus on the cheek first, then turned to Evileye. The blush and shy smiles that appeared on their faces at the same time softened the atmosphere at the breakfast table.

Lakyus glanced at Evileye and, on a sudden impulse, took a spoonful of fruit oatmeal from the bowl in his hand. His voice was overly flirtatious as he offered the spoon to me.

"Aaaa, my love…"

I narrowed my eyes and turned to him, chewing the oatmeal on the spoon. "It tastes better when you make it," I said, winking.

"I know, my love," said Lakyus, smiling slightly but emphasizing the last word in a particularly loud voice. The target was clear.

The plan had worked. Evile responded without furrowing her brows, a cold smile on her face. She placed a slice of cheese on the tip of her fork and extended it toward me carefully: "Please, say 'Aaaa... my love,'" she said in a thin, sharp tone. The "Did you see that?" look she shot at Lakyus was impossible to miss.

The other members of Blue Rose watched silently from the table, occasionally raising their eyebrows and glancing at me. Only Gargaran seemed to find the situation amusing. He raised his thumb and winked at me: "Good job," he seemed to say.

After our affectionate breakfast, Nabe entered the room. With her usual quiet, measured steps, she joined us unobtrusively, like an ice princess. Once the last member of our team had arrived, all our attention turned to the task at hand. We donned our armor and took the necessary potions provided by Nfirea. After a half-hour ride in a horse-drawn carriage, we arrived at the palace.

The guards waiting for us at the gate accompanied us to a large courtyard. Five giant ice dragons were waiting for us in the middle of the courtyard. Each one was carefully prepared and equipped with special saddles for three people. Their scales glistened like ice, and their cold breath spread into the air like mist. However, compared to Hiryu's dragon form, they were no different from large winged lizards.

Albedo stepped forward and gathered the group's attention to explain the mission plan:

"The escort unit accompanying the convoy consists of the four palace knights of Baharuth, the Darkness and Blue Rose teams, Brain, Fluder, and your commander, Gazef. Currently, there are ten of you; however, upon arriving at the Kingdom of Roble, five more will join you: Princess Calca, Remedios, Pabel Baraja, Shizu, and Neia. I don't think you'll need it, but just in case… good luck."

As Albedo finished speaking, all the groups began mounting the dragons. I mounted the same dragon as Nabe and asked her to sit in front of me. I wrapped my arms around her waist and leaned her against me. When she turned her head back, the calm expression of joy on her face softened my heart. She leaned silently against me, and we enjoyed the flight together.

As the dragons rose into the sky, the heavens opened; below us was the receding world, and above us stretched the clouds. But I was more focused on the woman in front of me than the scenery. However, Fluder's curious eyes, Evileye's jealous glances, and Lakyus' silent observation were disrupting the moment.

I cast a powerful illusion spell to deceive their eyes and hide my intentions, then leaned close to Nabe's ear:

"My beautiful Nabe… Now we can watch the clouds together, without anyone else's gaze."

As I spoke, I buried my nose in her black hair and inhaled her scent. Nabe closed her eyes, then slowly turned and embraced me. The expression of joy mixed with desire on her face was the opposite of the coldness she usually showed to others. I brought my hands to her face, my fingers caressing her cheek. Nabe was melting. Her hands wrapped around mine, then she brought my fingers to her lips and began kissing them one by one.

There was silent surrender and infinite love in her eyes. She undid the buttons on her dress, sat down gently in my lap, and wrapped her arms around my neck. Our lips met in the clouds with a different kind of thirst. We made love for hours in the sky, accompanied by the song of the wind.

About two hours later, the towers of Roble Palace appeared on the horizon. As the dragons descended, Nabe's body, still resting in my arms, had relaxed from exhaustion. I carefully lifted her from the dragon's back and set her down on the ground. She struggled to stand on her trembling legs, so she clung tightly to me, unwilling to let go.

When we arrived at the castle, Princess Calca and her guard were already waiting. Beside her was a group of holy knights whose steel armor glinted in the morning sun. As soon as they saw us, the convoy began to move, and the captain at the front spurred his horse toward us and greeted us politely. We stepped forward a few paces to respond, about to begin the formalities of introduction, when…

The curtain of the ornate carriage, adorned with gold leaf, was violently pulled aside. Remedios's repulsive, sour face appeared.

"How much more time will you waste?! This mission is critical for the future of both countries, and you're wasting time on nonsense!"

Her voice was tense, her tone commanding. It wasn't the content, but the manner in which she spoke that made everyone's faces contort. The knight captain in front bowed his head, trying to keep his voice calm:

"Lady Remedios... Please show understanding. These people are not only here to protect you, but they are also honored guests of the Royal Family."

"Enough! I have no patience for your excuses." Remedios burst out angrily and closed the curtain with a sudden movement, trying to leave her anger behind.

At that moment, Nabe's growl rose beside me. She narrowed her eyes and muttered:

"That whore of a knight isn't even worthy of mentioning Asfall-sama's name... I think someone needs to teach her a lesson."

His voice was threatening, like a hissing snake. She reached for her sword. As soon as I noticed her reflex, I grabbed her arm and pulled her close, holding her tightly.

She hesitated for a moment, but then slowly exhaled. She turned her eyes away, suppressing her anger, and moved away from her sword. There was still a dissatisfied line at the corner of her lips.

As we made our way to the area where the dragons had been left, the shadow of the tension Remedios had created still hung over us. I cast a spell to see inside the carriage. I wanted to find out why the "whore knight" was so angry.

Inside the car, Remedios sat upright, her body tense, her jaw clenched, her eyes filled with anger. Across from her, Calca smiled radiantly, her hands resting on her knees, her eyes sparkling as she spoke:

"Shizu-sama, what do you think Ashfall-sama is doing now? Do you think he misses me? Will he like this dress? Or should I have worn the blue one?"

Her voice was as innocent as a child's. Her excitement was overflowing. This international meeting was not a duty for her, but a date with the man she loved. Shizu, as always, was silent. She just listened, not interrupting.

Remedios' lips were tight. She clenched her teeth so hard that her neck muscles became visible. It was now clear: her anger was directed not only at us, but also at Calca's love life.

By the time we reached the dragons, everyone had finished their preparations. I rode the same dragon as Evile and Lakyus. Calca, Shizu, and Remedios took their seats in the largest and most comfortable dragon's rows of seats.

As the dragons took flight, we felt the wind and began to rise rapidly. I brought my dragon close to the princess's dragon so I could speak directly to Remedios. I spoke in a clear tone without raising my voice:

"Lady Remedios, I will follow behind you. There are half-human lands ahead, and the risk of ambush is high. We will watch your back."

The moment the word "half-human" left my mouth, Remedios's eyebrows furrowed. However, this time she spoke in an unusually soft tone:

"You... You're Felix from the Darkness group, aren't you?"

"Your reputation precedes you. Of course, I agree with you. From those oxygen-wasting creatures, any dishonorable behavior can be expected." For the first time, there was not direct hostility in her voice, but a cold acceptance of shared hatred.

I turned my dragon around and began to follow the convoy from behind. But of course, my real purpose was not the convoy's safety—it was the few hours I would spend with the two beauties sitting beside me. Throughout the journey, I shared passionate moments with Evileye and Lakyus, filling their wombs with my thick semen.

After about a two-hour journey, we reached the outer walls of the capital. We handed over the dragons to the special caretakers waiting for us on the ground. Then we mounted the prepared horses and rode toward the city walls. We were greeted at the city's main gate by the Fulmenreich Palace Guards. Their gold-embroidered armor and flawless posture reflected the discipline of the palace.

"Welcome to Re-Estize, Princess Calca," said the guard captain at the front, bowing his head.

"From here on, palace guards will accompany you."

Then he turned his eyes to us:

"Dear adventurers... You have successfully completed your mission. You can collect your rewards from the guild. I wish you success in your future missions."

After this formal tone, the guards surrounded Calca's ornate carriage and began to march toward the palace in an orderly fashion.

The two girls beside me looked at me. The sorrow in their eyes was evident even from a hundred meters away.

"I guess this is where our paths diverge," I said, hugging both Lakyus and Evileye and kissing them goodbye.

"But this isn't the end. It's just a short break."

Then I turned to Nabe:

"Nabe, go to the guild with Blue Rose. Collect our reward and return directly to the mansion. I'll go ahead."

Nabe simply bowed her head and set off with the girls.

I immediately entered an alleyway and, after making sure no one was around, activated the teleportation spell. In the blink of an eye, I was transported to my luxurious room in the palace. The servant waiting at the door knelt down and greeted me:

"Welcome back, Ashfall-sama. Lady Albedo is waiting for you."

I nodded in agreement. I changed the appearance of my armor with magic—a magnificent outfit in a mixture of dark blue and black, adorned with ruby stones. It was a striking yet understated elegance, symbolizing nobility shrouded in shadows. I walked confidently toward the throne room.

When I opened the door, Albedo was busy with documents at a large table. But when she saw me, she dropped everything and jumped to her feet. Her elegant black dress fluttered, her hair swept behind her. She flapped her jet-black wings and threw herself into my arms with joy.

"May your day be bright, Ashfall-sama. Welcome. Princess Calca's group will be here shortly."

I nodded and lifted her up in my arms. I sat down on my throne and held her in my lap. For a few minutes, I simply loved her—I stroked her hair, kissed her, and breathed in her scent deeply.

"Gather all the floor guards except Harmonia and the elf twins. Alsocall the important figures from the other provinces," I said softly, my lips still touching her skin.

Albedo nodded and got up from my lap. As she left the room, she swayed her hips with deliberate grace, as if casting a spell to make me look back at her.

I, on the other hand, went to the table. I unfolded the map, set my sights on the Elf Kingdom, and laid out the small soldier figures to establish the foundation for the future strategy plan. Then I took my seat on the throne and began waiting for my guests.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

The door knocker was struck three times, heavily and deliberately.

"Emperor Ashfall-sama, your guests are ready. Do you command me to let them in?" called the knight behind the door.

A moment of silence... Then I simply nodded. The servant moved toward the door. It opened slowly. Its creak echoed across the marble floor of the throne room. Knights in golden armor lined up on either side. Four silhouettes began to walk across the red carpet: Neia, Pabel, Remedios, and finally Princess Calca.

Calca's steps were gentle, but the anxiety in her eyes as she searched for me was undeniable. The smile on her lips when she saw me was elegant, but it carried a suppressed excitement. Seeing her like this, a wave of pride swelled within me. This woman was a queen before the people, but when she came to me, she was simply my beautiful Calca.

I slowly rose from my throne and took a few steps toward the center of the hall. The princess's eyes widened for a moment; she was trying to figure out what I was going to do.

Then, without saying a word, I took her hand. I held her waist and pulled her toward me, placing a delicate yet possessive kiss on her lips. At that moment, the entire hall froze in astonishment.

"Welcome home, my princess. I hope you didn't encounter any problems on your short journey." I spoke loudly as I caressed Calca's delicate face.

At the same time, my eyes were on Remedios. The whore knight's face was bright red, as if someone had stuck hot pepper up her ass. Her lips were tightly pursed, her eyebrows furrowed, her hands clenched into fists. But she couldn't speak. And as I watched her, I left only a smile on my face. A savage smile, a smile that pierced her gaze, telling her who the king was.

"Spend today resting in the palace, and tomorrow, when all the nobles arrive at the palace, I will begin our meeting."

I hadn't planned to postpone the meeting, but I had no intention of leaving this girl who was clinging to me, her face pressed against my chest with joy. With a wave of my hand, I dismissed the servants from the room. The soldiers bowed respectfully and headed for the door. But Remedios didn't move. She narrowed her eyes and glared at me angrily. Her hands were on the hilt of her sword, like a war dog waiting for orders.

"There are too many ears in this room," I said quietly but authoritatively. "The conversation we are about to have concerns only the two of us, and no one else can interfere."

Calca hesitated for a moment. She had always felt safe with Remedios by her side. She smiled at me, kissing my hands, then turned to Remedios and spoke.

"Remedios… I want to be alone for a moment."

This simple sentence was like a slap in the face for Remedios. Because Calca's voice had never sounded so authoritative before. Remedios took a step back, clenching her teeth.

"I'm at the door," she said in a cold, harsh voice. Then she left and closed the door behind her.

We were alone in the room now. The silence lasted a few seconds. I took a black metal bracelet out of my inventory. Its surface was covered with magical runes.

"This is an illusion bracelet. It masks your face, voice, and clothing. You'll be able to walk the streets unrecognized."

I placed the bracelet on Calca's wrist. As I touched it, the bracelet emitted a faint light and began to change her appearance. Her clothing became simpler, and her hair took on a different color. She no longer looked like a princess but more like a peasant traveler. But anyone above level sixty could see the truth behind the illusion. As for me, they couldn't recognize me anyway because of my equipment.

"If we're ready," I said, catching her eyes,

"let's see this city together, without a throne or a title."

Calca nodded slightly. There was a faint smile on her face—both shy and hopeful. She placed my hand on her chest and let me feel her heart beating wildly with excitement.

We walked out of the room arm in arm and moved slowly down the corridor. But Remedios started following us. That bitch was really overstepping her bounds. If I let her continue like this, I was sure she'd be in the room even when I was in bed with my woman.

"I don't remember ordering you to follow us! If you're worried about my princess's health, don't worry. I defeated Jalabadoh on my own, not with your country's help." My words, a mix of anger and authority, struck her heart.

But suddenly, a brilliant idea came to mind:

"But I understand that this is your duty. So protect us from a distance, without interfering. And get rid of that flashy armor; you're drawing too much attention." I addressed her with a sympathetic expression.

Remedios, as if afraid I would change my mind, immediately took off her armor and put on a cloak, then began to follow us. Calca clung to my arm even tighter. She was happy that I had allowed Remedios to come. However, my reason for allowing her to come was entirely different. I wanted her to see the loving moments between Calca and me and go even more crazy. My angel princess, unaware of all this, smiled at me joyfully.

When we reached the palace garden, I stopped in my tracks and used a teleportation spell to transport us to one of the city's side streets. We walked confidently out of the street and began to make our way toward the marketplace. After a few minutes of walking, we found ourselves in front of the continent's largest commercial center. The huge market area was divided into sections for different goods, and we were heading towards the area where the artisans were. Even after just a few steps, the buzz of the crowd had descended upon us. People, horse-drawn carriages, shouting—it was all extremely noisy.
