Chapter 202 - 194

"Hee hee~ so cute."

"Hey, little guy~"

Gently teasing Eevee's chin, the little cutie squinted its eyes, showing a comfortable expression and letting out an adorable growl, which melted Bella Anderson's heart.

Although it wasn't her favorite Water or Ice-type Pokémon, this little cutie was just too adorable!

Ethan Carter glanced at Eevee and couldn't help chuckling. This was truly a surprise.

Originally, he had been searching for a Pokémon for two nights but couldn't find one suitable as a championship reward. Since it was meant to be a top-tier Pokémon larva, it had to live up to expectations.

So he had to go back and check on the Eevees, and to his surprise, there was a Shiny Eevee among them. According to his exclusive Pokédex as the store manager, this Eevee had excellent potential.

It was perfect as a championship reward. After all, Eevee had multiple evolutionary paths, none of which were weak, and being Shiny only made it more special.

Ryan Mitchell took the Pokédex and let out a deep breath.

Since drawing Teddiursa, he had continued his daily five draws, but his luck had been awful.

He hadn't drawn a single one of his favorite Pokémon since then.

Currently, his team consisted of Pupitar, Lairon, Steelix, and Ursaring.

As soon as he found a full moon night, he could evolve Ursaring into an Ursaluna using a Peat Block, further strengthening his team.

Of course, the best-case scenario would be drawing two more powerful Pokémon!

"Here we go!" Ryan tapped his store manager Pokédex, transferring the losing streak away!

"What will happen?" Chloe Summers and the others watched curiously. Luck in drawing Pokémon was unpredictable.

After all, Chloe had lost to Bella in the semifinals, yet her Pokémon draws were still terrible—consistently bad luck!

Five Bug-types in a row! That was outrageous!

But… from another perspective, if you could consistently draw Pokémon five times a day, wasn't that a form of 'good luck'?

The shadow on the Pokédex slowed down, and Ryan stared at the screen.

An image of a Pokémon appeared.

"Huh? What Pokémon is this?"

Logan Hayes looked at the Pokémon image suspiciously. It resembled a long piece of blue metal, with a large red eye in the center of its head and a claw-shaped tail.

"It looks like a Steel-type, but I'm not sure how strong it is," Noah Bennett speculated, rubbing his chin. Given its metallic appearance, it had to be Steel-type.

"Boss, can you introduce it to me?" Ryan asked with interest.

His team leaned toward Ground and Steel-types, and he particularly liked Steel Pokémon.

After all…

Steel-types had excellent defenses, and he preferred large Pokémon.

Bigger meant more imposing and dominant!

Ethan looked at the Pokémon and raised an eyebrow before turning to Ryan with a smile.

"You've really struck gold this time."

"Oh?" Ryan's eyes lit up.

"This is Beldum, the larval form of the Steel/Psychic-type pseudo-legendary Pokémon, Metagross."

Ethan grinned. Yes, this Pokémon was Beldum, the first stage of the pseudo-legendary Metagross!

"Oh my god... Beldum?!"

"No way! That's insane!"

"How did he get a pseudo-legendary?!"

"Cousin actually got this lucky?! He's like a poor stray dog that suddenly found a treasure!"

Hearing this, Ryan's expression turned ecstatic, while Logan and the others were in complete disbelief.

Another pseudo-legendary! Ryan already had Pupitar!

This was just as crazy as Chloe! Two pseudo-legendaries for one person!

Chloe, who had been in shock, immediately turned sour when she heard those words. Her face darkened as she glared at Logan viciously.

Damn it!

How was she the dog here?! She lost the tournament and pulled five Bug-types in a row!

"Steel and Psychic pseudo-legendary..."

Ryan ignored the jealous comments. They were just envious!

He had lost the championship terribly, so what if he was in a good mood after getting a pseudo-legendary? Was that a problem?

Absolutely not!

At this moment, Ryan was staring at Beldum's image in pure delight. The Steel-type was his favorite attribute, and Psychic-type was an incredible bonus!

Psychic-type Pokémon had incredibly difficult-to-counter moves!

"Boss! I want it!"

Ryan didn't hesitate for a second and turned to Ethan with determination.

Right now, Beldum's strange design looked absolutely perfect to him!

"Wait."

Ethan wasn't surprised. If someone pulled a pseudo-legendary, who would refuse unless they had financial issues?

That was inevitable.

Ethan walked into the storage room, and soon after, the door opened again. A blue Beldum slowly floated out, its big red eye staring silently at everyone.

"It can actually fly..."

Logan was astonished, watching the Pokémon that looked like a floating metal bell.

"It looks kinda eerie..."

Being silently stared at by Beldum, Chloe felt a bit uncomfortable.

It was hard to read emotions in Beldum's eye—it seemed almost emotionless.

"Beldum is a metal-based lifeform. Its body contains a strong magnetic force, allowing it to interact with magnetic fields and levitate."

Ethan walked over and explained to the group.

"And because its body circulates magnetism instead of blood, if Beldum gets injured, you can restore its strength not only with Potions or healing machines but also by feeding it Magnets."

Ethan smiled. Yes, since Beldum was a metal lifeform, it could even eat Magnets to recover—something noted in the Pokédex.

"That's amazing. Does it have emotions?" Lily Carter asked curiously. She felt like Beldum was just... staring blankly.

"Of course. Every Pokémon has intelligence and emotions. However, Pokémon with inorganic lifeforms like Beldum express their emotions in more subtle ways."

"But don't let Beldum's quiet demeanor fool you. It actually has a short temper."

Ethan glanced at Beldum knowingly.

Yes, Beldum actually had a bad temper!

It seemed silent, but if irritated, it would start making loud noises.

And Metagross—its final evolution—was even worse. Metagross had computing power rivaling a supercomputer, but it was also a ruthless predator. It would pin down its prey and eat it alive!

Although no one really understood why a metal-based lifeform like Metagross ate meat...

Additionally, Metagross was highly territorial and aggressive toward intruders, making it a very dangerous Pokémon.

"So before you get to know it and build a good relationship, Ryan, be careful with Beldum. Otherwise..."

"It's even more destructive than Pupitar."

Ethan grinned, reminding Ryan.

Pupitar had a habit of eating everything, but if Beldum decided to 'destroy,' the damage would be on another level.

"Got it."

Ryan nodded, staring at Beldum fondly.

His second pseudo-legendary! And it was a Steel/Psychic type!

Damn!

For the next competition, he had to get revenge on Bella!
