Cherreads

Chapter 194 - 191

The entire stadium was filled with deafening cheers, the noise reaching levels that could be considered pollution—but no one cared about that at the moment!

"Logan! Overdrive! What the hell! Logan is too strong! Woohoo!"

"Logan is amazing! Absolutely amazing!!!"

"Champion! Hahaha! Champion!"

"Hahaha~ Good thing I had foresight and went all in! Hahaha!"

"Ugh... why did I lose?! Ahhh, my points!"

Some people cried, some laughed, and some did both.

At this moment, the stadium was filled with a mix of emotions. Everyone was caught up in their own feelings, oblivious to those around them.

"Wow~ My Logan won the championship! Hahaha~ As expected of my Logan!"

Although Samantha often complained about Logan, seeing her best friend win the championship brought tears of joy to her eyes. She was genuinely excited and happy for her sister.

"Really amazing~"

Madison stood up and applauded Logan, her eyes filled with admiration and warmth.

"The first champion~" Jason murmured, clapping as he sighed in amazement. It was truly enviable.

"Ugh... cousin..."

Daniel's expression was extremely complicated. He cried, then forced a happy expression for Logan, embodying the classic mix of emotions.

Edward patted Daniel on the shoulder in understanding. Though he was closer to Ethan, he was still thrilled for Logan's victory.

"Champion and winner..."

Princess Mackenzie bit her lower lip, her eyes shining with determination as she gazed at the girl in the spotlight, her name being chanted by the crowd.

At this moment, she was absolutely sure—she wanted to be that kind of person too!

"Champion~" Ryan pursed his lips. It was time to work harder.

There were too many emotions in the air, too many personal reflections.

And what about Logan?

"Waaah~ Thank you! Lapras! Thank you so much!"

The girl, overwhelmed with joy, hugged Lapras' neck, tears of happiness streaming down her face.

She won!

But it wasn't just her victory—it was also the victory of her loyal friends and partners who had fought by her side every step of the way.

"Wow~"

Lapras, covered in battle scars, gently lowered its head and rubbed against Logan's cheek, letting out a sweet, ethereal sound.

It was also Lapras' greatest honor to fight for its Trainer. At least, that's how it always felt.

Now, it had brought glory to Logan, and it was proud!

Guillermo smiled at the Pokémon and Trainer, not interrupting their moment.

She was his very first customer.

Guillermo watched the happy girl with emotion. In the blink of an eye, she had risen to the top, standing victorious in the stadium.

"Don't be discouraged, you did well."

Ethan walked over to Pupitar, crouching down to gently stroke its carapace. Right now, Pupitar looked completely dejected.

"Even though we lost, we fought hard. Let's train harder for the next match. You've always been my most important partner, so cheer up."

Ethan spoke gently, his warm smile reassuring Pupitar.

"Sha..."

Pupitar turned to look at Ethan, its gaze slowly hardening with determination. Then it glanced at Lapras, eyes blazing with competitive fire.

Next time, I'm taking you down, you oversized plesiosaur! Just wait!

Well, old habits die hard.

After comforting Pupitar, Ethan stood up and turned to Logan.

"Congratulations on becoming the champion, Logan."

Ethan smiled genuinely. A loss was a loss—there was no point in being resentful. It was unfortunate, but he had to maintain the dignity of a top-tier Trainer.

"Thank you~"

Logan wiped her tears and smiled brightly.

"In that case, let's proceed with the awards ceremony," Guillermo announced.

"Isn't there still a third-place match?" Ethan asked, raising an eyebrow.

"The third-place match has already been settled. Zach voluntarily forfeited, saying he realized his training wasn't sufficient."

Guillermo explained that after Zach's battle with Ethan, he admitted that his team wasn't well-balanced enough yet. Since only his Heracross had solid battle strength, he decided to forfeit the fight for third place.

Although Guillermo didn't fully understand Zach's reasoning, the tournament was officially coming to an end.

A high platform had been set up as a podium. Under the eyes of the entire stadium, Logan, Ethan, and Samantha stepped forward for their awards.

Alongside them were Zach, Jason, Madison, and Edward.

A staff member walked up from backstage, carrying a beautifully crafted wooden tray. Guillermo lifted the silk covering, revealing five Luxury Balls inside.

Luxury Balls!

These special Poké Balls provided a more comfortable environment for Pokémon, making them easier to bond with their Trainers.

"The journey of a Trainer has only just begun, so keep working hard."

Guillermo picked up a Luxury Ball and handed it to Edward, smiling encouragingly.

"Oh wow~ Thanks, boss! I swear to God!"

Edward grinned from ear to ear. Even though he had supported Ethan in spirit, he had actually placed all his bets on Logan and ended up with enough points to exchange for three special Poké Balls.

But what Trainer would say no to a free Luxury Ball?

Guillermo chuckled. This foreigner kept mentioning God—he wondered if Edward was actually religious or not.

"Keep it up." Guillermo handed the remaining Luxury Balls to Jason and Madison.

"Ahhh! A special Poké Ball! I'm so happy!"

"Don't be salty. They made it to the top eight out of hundreds of thousands of participants. Besides, Guillermo is pretty generous, even rewarding the top eight."

"Ugh... I lost all my points. My Dusk Ball, Dive Ball, and Nest Ball are gone."

"See? This is why you don't go all in! Good thing I was smart and saved enough points to get a Love Ball."

"Hahaha~ This is hilarious."

The live broadcast chat exploded with reactions. Some people regretted their choices, while others could barely contain their excitement.

After awarding the fourth to eighth place rewards, it was time for the top three.

"Miss Samantha, you performed very well. What Attribute enhancement do you want?"

Guillermo asked the girl with a smile.

"Dragon! Definitely Dragon!"

Samantha responded immediately. The tournament made her realize her dragon Pokémon needed to be even stronger!

"I figured as much."

Guillermo chuckled and gestured to another staff member, who brought over a wooden box.

Inside was a sharp, glowing blue fang.

Samantha's eyes lit up.

"This is the Ultimate Dragon Fang! When held by a Dragon-type Pokémon, it boosts the power of Dragon-type moves by 20%."

Guillermo presented the wooden box to Samantha with a smile.

Gasps spread through the audience and the competitors on stage.

A 20% boost to Dragon-type moves? That was insane!

Zach stared blankly at the Dragon Fang, then looked at the Luxury Ball in his hand.

He suddenly felt like an idiot. Why did he forfeit third place?

"Wow!! Thank you, Guillermo!"

Samantha's face turned pink with excitement as she took the wooden box and expressed her gratitude.

"You earned it through hard work."

Guillermo replied with a smile.

Zach, meanwhile, was holding back tears. He had a chance at third place! Even with just one strong Pokémon, he could've fought!

"I think Zach is about to cry..."

"Be confident—Zach is definitely about to cry! This item is too powerful!"

"If only my Dragonair had this—its attack power would be insane!"

"Pfft~ Zach is so unlucky, but I can't help but laugh."

"Ahhh! I can't wait to see the rewards for second and first place!"

"I'm ready to be jealous."

The audience buzzed with anticipation.

"Mr. Ethan, have you decided? Two special evolution items or a set of superior evolution stones?"
