Even the manager of Pokémon House had come out to personally witness the battle, sending the audience into a frenzy of excitement.
The anticipation had never been higher!
And now, on the battlefield—
Ethan glanced at both trainers.
**"Now, the finals of the Magic City Tournament will officially begin. The competitors are Bella and Ryan.
The battlefield is a standard arena, and the match will be a 3 vs. 3 battle. The first trainer to have all three Pokémon unable to battle will lose.
The winner will be crowned the Magic City Tournament Champion!"**
Ethan raised the small flag in his hand and smiled. His voice was warm yet filled with excitement as it echoed across the stadium.
"I wish you both the best of luck!"
After announcing the battle rules, Ethan nodded at the two finalists and stepped off the battlefield.
"3 vs. 3, huh..."
Ryan enlarged the Poké Ball in his hand and locked eyes with Bella.
"Bella, at this point, I don't think there's anything left to say."
A grin crept onto his face, filled with confidence.
Bella took a deep breath, relaxing her tense body before flashing a radiant smile at Ryan.
"You're right, Ryan. There's only one champion! If you think you can beat me, come and try!"
Her smile sharpened, and her voice rose with determination as she threw her Poké Ball into the air.
"Milotic! Let's do this!"
"Miiiii~!"
With a flash of white light, Milotic landed gracefully in front of Bella. The usual gentle look in its eyes was now replaced with fierce determination, mirroring its trainer's battle-ready spirit.
Ryan licked his dry lips and focused on Milotic for a moment before tossing his own Poké Ball.
"Ursaring! Get ready to fight!"
"KUH-BAAA!!"
With a deep, menacing roar, the massive bear Pokémon spread its claws and glared intensely at Milotic.
On the big screen, images of Ursaring and Milotic lit up next to their respective trainers' faces.
"Ryan really started with Ursaring!"
In the audience, Sean adjusted his glasses. "Among all of Ryan's Pokémon, Ursaring is the only one that isn't weak to Water or Ice."
"Makes sense," Maya nodded. "But that Ursaring is absolutely terrifying. Bella has to be careful."
"Pfft, that girl isn't weak either," Chloe muttered, crossing her arms. "That bear won't beat her that easily."
Despite her confident words, Chloe was watching the battlefield anxiously.
"Bella, if you lose… You better be ready to hear from me!"
"Ursaring, use Slash!" Ryan wasted no time in launching an attack.
"KUH-BAAA!!"
Ursaring roared as both of its massive claws glowed white with razor-sharp energy, charging straight at Milotic with incredible force.
The sheer pressure from its charge was overwhelming!
"Milotic! Scald!"
Milotic let out a melodious cry as blue light gathered in its mouth.
A scalding jet of white-hot water shot directly at Ursaring.
"Power through it!" Ryan's eyes narrowed.
This was a move he had never seen before, but no matter what it was, Ursaring had to push through!
Ursaring gritted its teeth as it slammed one of its claws directly into the boiling water.
The scalding attack burned its fur, but Ursaring roared in defiance, pushing forward relentlessly!
"Milotic! Surf!"
"Woooh!"
Milotic's body glowed with a beautiful blue light as waves began to form beneath it.
But just before the massive wave could rise—
"Ursaring, now!" Ryan's voice rang out.
In an instant, Ursaring's speed exploded!
"What?!" Bella's eyes widened in shock.
Ursaring had slowed down its charge on purpose at the start, only to accelerate at the last second!
Before the wave could fully form, Ursaring had already reached Milotic.
With a vicious snarl, Ursaring's glowing claws slashed down with full force!
SLASH!
Milotic let out a sharp cry as the attack struck, sending it skidding across the battlefield.
"Ursaring deliberately slowed down at the start!"
In the stands, Chloe clenched her fists. "That was a setup!"
Ryan had been planning this from the very beginning. Ursaring's sudden burst of speed caught Milotic completely off guard.
It was a cunning strategy!
"Arm Hammer!"
Ursaring lifted one of its massive arms, ready to slam it down on the recovering Milotic.
"Milotic! Scald!"
Milotic, still reeling from the Slash attack, managed to lift its head and unleash another jet of boiling water.
SIZZLE!
The attack struck Ursaring directly in the face, making the bear roar in pain.
But despite the burns, Ursaring didn't stop!
With a deafening roar, Ursaring smashed its glowing fist into Milotic, hammering it into the ground with bone-crushing force!
The battlefield trembled as cracks spread out beneath them.
"Milotic!" Bella cried out in alarm.
"Damn! This fight is crazy!"
"Ryan's Ursaring is insane! This bear does NOT mess around!"
"The power of that Arm Hammer was brutal! Poor Milotic!"
"Bella's getting wrecked right now… This isn't looking good."
"Ursaring's fighting style is too violent. Good thing Bella didn't send out Lapras first, or it would've been over already."
The audience was in shock.
"Ursaring! One more Arm Hammer!" Ryan pressed the attack.
White energy surged around Ursaring's arms as it prepared to strike again.
"Milotic! Aqua Tail!"
Milotic's shimmering blue tail wrapped around Ursaring's leg, yanking hard!
Caught off balance, Ursaring stumbled.
Milotic used the momentum to push itself upright.
"Scald!"
A powerful blast of steaming water struck Ursaring once again, forcing the bear Pokémon to growl in pain.
But then—
"Ursaring!"
Ryan's voice rang out like a commandment.
Ursaring's claws shot out, gripping Milotic's tail before it could escape!
Oh no.
Bella's heart dropped.
"Now!"
"KUH-BAAA!!"
Using all of its monstrous strength, Ursaring swung Milotic around like a ragdoll—
And slammed it into the ground.
BOOM!
The impact shook the battlefield.
One hit.
Two hits.
Three hits!
Milotic's body went limp.
Ursaring finally released it, panting heavily.
"Milotic is unable to battle! Ursaring wins!" Ethan declared.
The crowd erupted.
"HOLY CRAP, THAT WAS INSANE!!"
"Ursaring just suplexed Milotic into the dirt!"
"Ryan came prepared. That was a perfect takedown strategy!"
Bella exhaled slowly and recalled her battered Milotic.
"Thank you, Milotic," she whispered.
Her gaze then shifted to Ursaring, still standing but visibly exhausted.
"The battle has just begun!"
With renewed determination, Bella pulled out another Poké Ball.
