Chapter 192 - Chapter 192

"No matter whether it's a good thing or a bad thing, we will protect you and the cubs well," Cheng Mo said firmly as he looked at Si Lu.

"Yeah, you can't just think about the bad possibilities. You have to look on the bright side. If the child has a powerful bloodline and is exhibiting ancestral traits, that means they'll have great potential in the future. It'll be easier for them to grow stronger, and they'll be better at protecting themselves, right?"

"In the Beastman Continent, weak beastmen have a very hard time surviving, so strength is the most important thing. The stronger they are, the better they can protect themselves," Hei Yao comforted.

Whether this was accidental or intentional, they only saw the benefits right now. After all, in the Beastman Continent, strength is everything. The stronger you are, the better you can protect yourself and the people you care about. Without strength, surviving here is as hard as ascending to the heavens.

"Stop worrying. This might actually be a good thing. Maybe it's not as complicated as you think. Of course, we'll all be with you. Don't worry—we'll protect you and the cubs," Bai Di said.

No matter what, they would protect the cubs and the little female well.

"Exactly, so don't worry. We're here—what's there to be afraid of?" Song Zhan added.

Looking at the people in front of her, Si Lu felt that they were right. With them by her side, what was there to be afraid of? Even if danger really came, there was no need to be so scared.

Besides, she was already here. And even if the other party had some scheme in mind, what could she do now? She couldn't resist anyway, so she might as well take it one step at a time.

"Mmhm, with you all here, I really feel at ease," Si Lu said.

Even if she had really been set up, so what? With them by her side, she wasn't afraid!

At that moment, Cheng Mo sensed that a beastman had arrived outside.

He stood up and walked out, only to see a worried-looking Tǎtǎ.

"Cheng Mo, how's Lu Lu? Has she woken up yet? I want to see her," Tǎtǎ said as she looked at Cheng Mo.

"Wait a moment," Cheng Mo replied, glancing at Tǎtǎ and Kǎkǎ Yīkǎnuò before going back into the cave.

"Lu Lu, Tǎtǎ's here. She wanted to visit you earlier, but you were too weak then, so we didn't let her in. Kǎ Yīkǎnuò is here too," Cheng Mo said as he looked at Si Lu.

As for Kānuò, Cheng Mo didn't really have any objections.

These past few days, Kānuò had been coming by to keep watch. He didn't speak much or leave—just quietly sat beneath a tree not far from the cave entrance.

It was as if he was guarding Si Lu inside the cave.

Cheng Mo had even grown used to it.

And today, this guy came along with his brother and sister-in-law, probably wanting to see Si Lu in person too.

Cheng Mo could sense Kānuò's genuine feelings for Si Lu.

But this wasn't something Cheng Mo could decide for her. It had to be up to Si Lu.

He still remembered what she said—she wanted to choose a beastman she liked as her mate.

Of course, strength was a must too.

As far as Cheng Mo was concerned, Kānuò fit the bill well!

He was strong, and also very good-looking.

The guy just didn't talk much, but overall, he had real potential to become part of their big family.

"Tǎtǎ's here? Let her come in. I missed her a lot," Si Lu said with a smile.

As soon as she heard Tǎtǎ had come, she was overjoyed.

"What about Kā Yīkǎnuò?" Cheng Mo asked.

"Let him in too. We can't have them waiting outside forever. I've got so much to talk about with Tǎtǎ," Si Lu said after thinking for a moment.

At first, she felt a bit embarrassed. But then she thought, if she and Tǎtǎ chatted for a long time and left them waiting outside, that wouldn't be very polite either.

Might as well let them all in.

They were all trustworthy people—no danger at all.

"Come on in!" Cheng Mo called out toward the cave entrance.

The three people outside heard him and finally walked in.

Beastmen have great hearing, so of course they heard the conversation inside clearly, even though no one was trying to hide anything.

Still, even if they heard it all, they wouldn't enter unless invited. That was basic beastman courtesy.

Kānuò had been getting impatient.

But right now, he could only follow his brother inside and stay calm.

Tǎtǎ, on the other hand, was cheerfully walking into the cave.

As soon as she entered, she was a little stunned by the sight of multiple tunnel-like passages.

Usually, beastman caves only had one chamber. But Si Lu's cave had multiple branching paths—four or five of them—totally eye-opening for her.

She had never seen a beastman's cave structured like this. It completely reshaped her understanding, and she found it fun and charming.

"Lu Lu, where are you?" Tǎtǎ looked around curiously.

She'd been to this cave before. Back then, it only had one chamber, but now there were several. So she wasn't sure which way to go or where Si Lu was.

"I'm here—go left and you'll see me," Si Lu's voice called out.

Tǎtǎ followed the voice to the left, and there she saw Si Lu leaning on a pile of grass-covered beast pelts, smiling brightly at her.

"Sorry, it's just your house is so big now. I've never seen something this massive before—I was kind of stunned…" Tǎtǎ said, a little embarrassed.

"No worries. I asked them to make a few more chambers—it's more convenient this way," Si Lu replied.

"But seeing how good you look now, I'm relieved. You're amazing, giving birth to two cubs—and they're not even the same species! I heard one's a fox and the other's a little tiger. Ahh, they're so cute!" Tǎtǎ looked at the two little ones beside Si Lu, her eyes sparkling. Even her own little crocodile cub wasn't this cute—she really adored the little fox and tiger!

"It was just luck. Come, sit down. Ah Di, go wash some fruit for Tǎtǎ," Si Lu said with a smile.

Bai Di nodded and went to prepare it.

"Oh, don't be so polite. I didn't even bring much—just some meat that's good for females and cubs, and a few beast pelts," Tǎtǎ said.

Si Lu was her good friend. Of course, now that she'd had cubs, Tǎtǎ had to bring something—it was a token of affection.

"Look at you—still brought gifts! Thank you so much," Si Lu said with a grin.

"It wasn't just me. Kānuò also hunted three live lambs for you. You can keep them for later—eat them whenever you want," Tǎtǎ said, raising her brows at Si Lu.

Actually, Tǎtǎ had already figured out that Kānuò liked Si Lu. The kid wasn't good at expressing himself and didn't talk much, but just silently stayed close by. After she realized that, she decided to put in a few good words for her unofficial little brother. After all, Kānuò's older brother was her mate—her first one, too.
