Chapter 238 - Chapter 237

Item: [Computer Pencil]Effect: The pencil is equipped with a computer resembling a screw shape, making it a futuristic tool that can automatically answer questions for the user.

Just holding it in your hand allows it to respond to questions automatically.

This is the type of pencil Nobita most desires. Later, when the "Computer Pencil" was stolen by Gian, he scored full marks in an exam, only to be accused of cheating by his father and got a beating.

This tool is from the 22nd century, designed to help students tackle difficult homework, much like a "photo-search question" app.

However, it is not allowed in formal exams. Its effectiveness far surpasses that of a photo-search app, by a large margin.

"Is there really such a tool?!"

Leorio's eyes sparkled with excitement. He had asked casually without much hope but didn't expect...

Morin is truly Morin! Worthy of the title of a tool master!

"Can I borrow this tool?!"

Leorio's face was full of pleading.

"If you borrow it, how will he use it himself?" Hanzo said sourly from the side.

"Oh right," Leorio was taken aback, then realized. If there really is a written test, Morin would definitely need this pencil too. Leorio couldn't help but look dejected and gloomy again.

"Actually, besides the 'Computer Pencil,' I have other good stuff," Morin smiled, and suddenly, two large bags appeared in his hands. Each bag was filled to the brim with toast bread.

"How about checking out the 'Memory Bread'?"

Tool: "Memory Bread."

Effect: Stick the memory bread on the text, imprint the content, then eat it, and you can remember everything completely.

PS: If you eat too much at once and upset your stomach, you'll forget what you remembered and need to eat it again.

Morin has the deepest connection with the "Memory Bread" tool. Because when he first watched the "Doraemon" anime, it was the "Memory Bread" episode!! Morin even remembers the episode was called "Bread for Coping with Exams."

The translator translated "Memory Bread" as "Recitation Bread."

Nobita, worried about exams, was in a panic and sought help from Doraemon, wanting a tool to cope with exams. Initially, Doraemon took out a fan that could blow away the school and an animal lamp that could turn the teacher into a monster to stop the exam.

But Nobita dared not use them, so Doraemon reluctantly took out the recitation bread.

It's worth mentioning that Morin also has those powerful fan and monster lamp tools.

Then, with the "Memory Bread," Nobita started showing off, going to Shizuka to demonstrate his so-called "memory." The result was that he ate the snacks Shizuka's mom brought instead, unable to use the "Memory Bread" on Shizuka's homework to study.

He could only borrow Shizuka's homework book, and when he got home, Nobita's mom made him a giant hamburger, leaving him with a round belly.

Later, as Nobita lay on the ground struggling to breathe, Doraemon returned. Learning that Nobita hadn't used the "Memory Bread" for studying, the blue cat got furious.

He dragged Nobita up and force-fed him the "Memory Bread," pouring water down his throat continuously. Nobita's body swelled with water until he nearly lost consciousness.

Yet, the blue cat wouldn't let him off, dragging Nobita's arms, repeatedly lifting and slamming him to the ground, trying to make the "Memory Bread" go down better.

The blue cat, while slamming, fiercely said:

"Eat!"

"Eat it!!"

"Hurry and eat it!!"

When Morin first saw this episode, he was initially attracted by the effect of the "Memory Bread." But then, the blue cat's actions made Morin feel this wasn't any ordinary cartoon. In the following episode, where Nobita peeks at Shizuka's panties... well, it was definitely not a show for kids.

Realizing this, Morin specifically sought out "Doraemon" DVDs, hoping to find more exciting plots. Unfortunately, Morin was ultimately disappointed.

In summary, as the first tool Morin became familiar with, "Memory Bread" left a deep impression on him.

"Do you want to use it~" Morin asked, lifting the plastic bag in his hand after explaining its effects. Then he saw Hanzo and the others pounce with eyes shining green.

"We want it!!"

---

Meanwhile, in another room on the airship.

Led by Hunter Association Chairman Netero, a group of examiners for this year's Hunter Exam gathered to discuss the candidates' information. Netero, holding a cup of fragrant tea, subtly glanced at Menchi's impressive figure before taking a sip and speaking:

"Out of ten candidates, six are newcomers. Compared to previous years, this is quite a harvest!"

"Yo yo yo, not bad, not bad!!"

Clearly, he was very pleased with the result.

"Is this situation common in previous years?" Buhara asked curiously while enjoying the food on the table.

"Hmm, according to past trends, usually there are ten consecutive years without a single new qualifier, and then suddenly, promising young talents gather."

"Just like this year?"

Netero gestured, "Since I've been chairman of the Hunter Association, this is the fourth time it's happened."

"How old is the chairman?" Menchi whispered to Beans, who was sitting next to her.

Beans replied, "I heard he was nearly a hundred years old twenty years old..."

"Speaking of which, Chairman, what is the final test?" Satotz asked, using a fork to taste a piece of dessert.

"Yeah, we still don't know," Buhara chimed in after swallowing his food.

"Whether this year truly sees the rise of new talents depends on the final test, right?"

"That's right," Netero cleared his throat and said seriously, "I plan to hold an unconventional duel, but before that, I need to have a chat with them."

Heads filled with question marks appeared above the others.

"To prepare for this duel, I want to have a good talk with those ten candidates," Netero said with a mischievous smile, clearly having some unique ideas in mind.

Meanwhile, back where the candidates were:

Leorio and Hanzo took the memory bread to the library, clearly planning to "devour" the books. Gon, on the other hand, found himself at a secluded window on the airship, gazing into the distance, lost in thought.

"You have something you want to say to me, don't you?"

Suddenly, a voice came from behind him.

"Morin..."

Gon turned his face, showing no surprise in his eyes.

"Since the end of the fourth test, I've noticed something off about you."

Morin walked up beside him, joining him in looking out the window.

"Every time you see me, there's a bit of hesitation in your eyes, as if you have something to say."

"Others might not notice, but I find it quite awkward~"

Morin said leisurely, "If you have something you want to say to me, just come and talk."

"Being so hesitant and indecisive isn't like you."

Gon fell silent after hearing this. After a moment, he slowly spoke:

"I heard."

He said, "I heard the conversation between Hisoka and Gittarackur..."

Gon looked up, his gaze serious as he looked at Morin and asked:

"Are you a member of the Phantom Troupe, Morin?!"

"That's right," Morin admitted straightforwardly, "and I'm even the deputy leader."

"What?!"

Morin's straightforwardness caught Gon by surprise.

"What? Did you think I'd be shocked that you know about this?" Morin asked with a chuckle.

Gon's reaction, if it were just from Hisoka's aggressive approach, would have led to frustration and withdrawal, much like in the original storyline. But it wasn't just related to Morin.

On the island with Hisoka and Illumi, Gon had encountered them in the original story, witnessing their conversations and seeing Illumi's true form. With Morin's influence, it was only natural that Gon overheard some special content in their discussions.
