Chapter 233 - Chapter 232

Knowing that Morin didn't want to fight him and had numerous ways to prevent him from making a move, Goz realized that the idea of confronting Morin was nothing but a pipe dream.

If he continued to be obstinate, things might get even worse. He wasn't afraid of being tortured and abused by Morin; at least that would mean he had engaged with him in some way.

What he feared was lying here in a daze, unconscious for a week. Being eliminated without accomplishing anything felt too stifling and unjust.

Thus, after Goz left, Morin was the only person remaining in the area. Meanwhile, the hunt in the forest quietly began to unfold. "I must pass this Hunter Exam!!"

Pokkle took the number badge from the body of his hunting target, who had been shot down by his tranquilizer dart. "With this, I have the three points from my target.

Now, it's time to get the three points from other candidates!" His eyes were resolute as he disappeared back into the jungle.

On another side:

"What do you want?!" The Amori Brothers stood back-to-back, their expressions tense as they looked at the three unfriendly newcomers.

"No need to be so nervous," Leorio said, cracking his knuckles. "We just want to borrow your number badges." Kurapika drew his wooden dual swords from his back.

"Forming an alliance to gang up on us, how despicable!!" the youngest Amori brother, Amori, couldn't help but shout. "Hey, hey, you guys dare to talk?" Killua retorted, placing his hand in front of him.

"Weren't you three just ganging up on a single candidate?" "Now, it's just your turn to be hunted."

"You really think we're afraid of you?!!" The Amori Brothers shouted in unison, "If you've got what it takes, come and get it!!"

"Is that so?" Killua's hand twisted, his veins bulging, and his nails grew instantly. "Then let's see you try!!"

Elsewhere:

"Hey! Tonpa, shouldn't your Hunter game end here?! Why…" Sommy clutched his stomach, lying on the ground, his face twitching and looking somewhat distorted.

"Maybe it's because of some other reason," Tonpa, the rookie crusher, stepped forward and took the number badge from Sommy.

Beside Sommy lay a monkey, suffering from diarrhea and dehydration, constantly releasing foul gas with its tongue hanging out.

After taking Sommy's badge, Tonpa's mind briefly flashed with the image of Morin. "Damn it!!" Sommy's eyes were wide with rage, wishing he could bite Tonpa to death.

Just moments ago, he had run into Tonpa, and they exchanged draw papers, planning to ally and act together. Sommy's target was number 403, Leorio.

Coincidentally, Tonpa had chatted a bit with Gon and the others, having some slight understanding. Plus, Tonpa was known as the rookie crusher, always enjoying tormenting newcomers during each Hunter Exam.

Considering the timing, it was about time for him to bow out of this round.

Also, after exchanging target numbers, it turned out Tonpa was supposedly number 404. So, Sommy didn't have much guard up and readily agreed to cooperate with Tonpa.

But unexpectedly Tonpa stabbed him in the back. "This is the Hunter Exam, the relationship between hunter and hunted. Even those seeking partnership might push you into the abyss." Tonpa pocketed Sommy's card and tossed aside the fake 404 number paper.

Yes, the 404 number he showed Sommy was just a piece of blank paper where Tonpa had forged the number with a pen. Sommy, assuming Tonpa wasn't interested in passing the Hunter Exam, naively trusted him. The result--

He never expected that Tonpa's real hunting target was him all along. "Bastard!!" He wanted to curse Tonpa repeatedly, but his trembling lips couldn't form complete words. His stomach was just too painful!!

Tonpa, that guy, is getting more and more adept at using laxatives.

Before they realized it, both he and his monkey had fallen into the trap, completely helpless. "I spared your life, which is already a kindness," Tonpa gave him one last glance.

"From here on out, you're on your own." With that, he turned and slowly walked away into the distance. "This year, I want to pass and become a Hunter!!"

In another part of the forest, "Great, now I've got six points!" Hanzo blew on the number 34 badge in his hand, carefully stowing it away with a look of joy in his eyes.

At his feet lay an unconscious candidate named "Long," whose fate was uncertain. Yes, his name was a single character and sounded impressive, but in the end, he was just a background character who barely showed his face.

"Hey? Ha!!" With a powerful shout, a fierce punch landed squarely on the chest of a tall, muscular man with long hair. "Boom!" A dull thud rang out, painful to the ears, and the large man with the cleft chin slowly fell to the ground.

"Phew?" Martial artist Botobai let out a long breath, striking a finishing pose from his family's martial arts. "In the end, I won."

Botobai looked at Shishito at his feet, offering his opponent the highest respect. Since they were assigned to the same room on the ship island, they had been competing against each other.

Whether it was endurance, willpower, or training volume, they were constantly measuring up. At night, the two, who admired each other, inadvertently fell asleep hugging each other, as if they had become the best of friends and partners.

Both had similar cleft chins, and their builds and fighting styles were closely matched. Even their drawn hunting targets were each other.

This led them, after meeting on this island, not to engage in the brutal hunt-and-be-hunted game. Instead, they faced off in a fair and square martial arts duel!!

The victor would advance to the final showdown. To show their respect for each other, both used their full strength and every trick in the book!

After an exhilarating battle, Botobai, with his rich experience and enduring stamina, claimed the final victory. Botobai took the number 9 badge from Shishito, then carried him to a hidden cave to hide.

Meanwhile, Goz, unable to challenge Morin, set his sights on Hisoka. Unfortunately, before he could meet Hisoka, he had the misfortune of encountering Illumi.

Rather than misfortune, it was more accurate to say Illumi had been watching him all along. Attacked by Illumi, Goz was filled with grief and anger, pleading with Illumi to let him find Hisoka for a battle.

After a moment of consideration, Illumi agreed. But sadly, just like in the original version, Hisoka showed no interest in opponents on the brink of death.

In the clearing, "Huff… huff…" Shishito glared at Hisoka, "Why, why won't you fight back?!!" "Because I don't need to. You'll die on your own." Hisoka glanced at the bloodthirsty butterflies surrounding Shishito.

"So many bloodthirsty butterflies around you mean your injuries are severe." "Your wounds are fatal, yet you insist on holding on~" As Hisoka spoke, Shishito's strength quickly faded, and he finally collapsed to his knees, unable to endure any longer.

"You, you know all this, so why…" Shishito suddenly looked up, shouting, "Why won't you fight me?!!"

"Sorry, I'm not interested in the dead." Hisoka stretched lazily, "Your eyes tell me you're already a dead man." Sensing Illumi's presence approaching, he smirked,

"Goodbye." "Number 406 was like this, and so are you, waaaah!!" Shishito, filled with unwillingness, let out a long howl to the sky, using his last strength to thrust his spear at Hisoka.

In the nearby bushes, Gon gripped his fishing rod tightly, not daring to blink for even a moment.
