Early the next morning, when Bai Wei and Vic stepped out of the Hunter's Hut, they happened to see Ivana returning from outside.
Feeling somewhat guilty, Ivana raised a few wild fruits she had picked on her way back before they could ask anything and said, "I ran out of food, so I went to get some. Here are two for you."
Ivana tossed them the fruits, and Bai Wei caught them with a smile: "Thank you, Holy Lady. But it's quite dangerous to go out before the sun is up. If something like this happens again, why not take this guy with you?"
As Bai Wei spoke, he patted Vic's head.
Ivana instinctively wanted to say "No need," but then she suddenly thought that by doing so, wouldn't she just be conveniently keeping Vic away from Bai Wei?
After realizing this, Ivana nodded lightly: "I understand. If it happens again, I'll take Vic... if he's willing."
Vic nodded repeatedly: "Of course, no problem. If there's anything I can help you with, just let me know. I'm a hunter, after all."
