As Qian Ran reveled in his time with the two stunning beauties, Bei Bei's senses slowly returned. His eyelids fluttered open, and the scene before him made his heart stop.
Qian Ran sat leisurely on the sofa, while Tang Ya and Zhang Lexuan knelt gracefully on either side of him, their lips brushing against his skin.
Bei Bei bolted upright, his eyes wide with rage and disbelief.
"How is this possible?!"
The questions swirled in his mind. When had Qian Ran arrived? Where even was he? And why were Tang Ya and Zhang Lexuan here, serving Qian Ran with such tenderness?
Though both women were now fully dressed, their earlier intimacy still lingered in their demeanor.
Blinking rapidly, Bei Bei confirmed that he wasn't dreaming.
Tang Ya, the woman he adored, and Zhang Lexuan, his supposed fiancée, were willingly attending to Qian Ran—together, no less.
It was incomprehensible.
The goddess he had pursued relentlessly was now entirely devoted to Qian Ran. His childhood betrothed, Zhang Lexuan, had abandoned any claim to loyalty to him.
This cruel irony felt like a dagger to his heart.
Bringing Tang Ya and Zhang Lexuan here was no accident. Qian Ran's intent was clear: to utterly humiliate him.
"You're awake, trash?" Qian Ran's disdainful gaze fell on Bei Bei. Tang Ya and Zhang Lexuan stood up, adjusting their clothing as they looked down at Bei Bei with cold indifference.
"Qian Ran, you bastard! Let them go!" Bei Bei shouted, his voice shaking with fury and helplessness. For any man, this scene was the ultimate insult and agony.
"Let them go? I'm afraid I don't understand. Tang Ya and Lexuan are here because they love me. What's there to let go of?" Qian Ran smirked, pulling the two women closer as they sat beside him.
Dressed to perfection, Tang Ya and Zhang Lexuan radiated beauty and elegance.
"Bei Bei, don't you think you're overstepping? What does my relationship with Qian Ran have to do with you? To me, you're not even worth a strand of his hair," Tang Ya said coldly, her gaze filled with scorn and loathing.
Her words weren't mere insults; she meant them. Qian Ran's physique and charisma were simply unmatched, and Tang Ya couldn't imagine leaving his side.
"Tang Ya, you're shameless! And you, Senior Sister—how can you debase yourself like this? Have you no pride?" Bei Bei growled, his voice breaking. His vision blurred with rage as he realized the futility of his efforts to win Tang Ya.
Meanwhile, Qian Ran merely had to lift a finger, and both women obeyed his every whim.
The disparity was unbearable.
One was the radiant goddess of the outer court; the other, the dignified senior sister of the inner court.
How could Qian Ran possibly deserve them?
"You think it's degrading? Let me tell you, being Qian Ran's loyal companion is far better than being your betrothed. You're the one who doesn't measure up, Bei Bei," Zhang Lexuan said with icy finality.
She had long since cast off any attachment to Bei Bei. To her, the very idea of being associated with him was repulsive. For Qian Ran, however, she would set aside her pride without hesitation. Only Qian Ran was worthy of her devotion.
Bei Bei's face turned crimson, veins bulging in his neck as he clenched his teeth so hard that blood dripped from his mouth.
"Trash like you doesn't deserve to live," Qian Ran sneered, his smile tinged with malice.
He was pleased with how Tang Ya and Zhang Lexuan had handled Bei Bei. Their unwavering loyalty and contempt for him only deepened his satisfaction.
Bei Bei's time was up.
"Qian Ran, where's Vice Dean Cai Meier? Why isn't she here?" Bei Bei asked, his voice trembling with fear. He could feel the murderous intent in Qian Ran's tone.
"She? Oh, she's already left with Ma Xiaotao and Ling Luochen for the Star Dou Forest. As for you, you've been tragically killed by a hundred-thousand-year soul beast. A shame, really—Cai Meier just couldn't keep you safe," Qian Ran said mockingly, his lips curling into a smirk.
"You want to kill me? How dare you!" Bei Bei stammered, his body drenched in cold sweat. He knew Qian Ran wasn't bluffing. This time, Qian Ran genuinely intended to end his life.
Now it all made sense—why Cai Meier had invited him to join the Star Dou Forest expedition. It was a ploy to isolate him from the academy and finish him off.
Damn it. He had underestimated how thoroughly Qian Ran had corrupted Shrek Academy.
"Qian Ran, don't you remember who I am? If you kill me, you'll die too!" Bei Bei screamed, bolting toward the door in a desperate attempt to escape.
But there was no chance.
Before Qian Ran could act, Zhang Lexuan stepped in. Her powerful aura locked Bei Bei in place, and with a wave of her hand, she yanked him back, sending him crashing to the ground.
"Are you insane, Qian Ran? You've lost your mind!" Bei Bei shouted, scrambling to his feet.
"I'm the most important heir of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan! If I die, you, Tang Ya, Zhang Lexuan, and everyone associated with you will pay for it!"
"Enough of your barking, trash. Open your eyes and see who this is."
Qian Ran reached into his storage soul tool and retrieved a wooden box, tossing it onto the floor in front of Bei Bei.
Trembling, Bei Bei opened it. Inside was a severed, blood-soaked head.
It was Mu En's.
Seeing the familiar, lifeless face, Bei Bei's legs gave out, and he collapsed onto the floor.
No wonder his attempts to contact Mu En had failed. His great-grandfather had been killed by Qian Ran.
But that was impossible. Mu En was an Ultimate Douluo!
An Ultimate Douluo wasn't supposed to die.
"This has to be a joke! Qian Ran, you're just trying to scare me, aren't you?" Bei Bei asked, his voice trembling with a faint glimmer of hope.
If Mu En was truly dead, Qian Ran would undoubtedly kill him next. With Xian Lin'er and Cai Meier protecting Qian Ran, no one would intervene on Bei Bei's behalf.
"Dream on. This is your beloved great-grandfather, Dragon God Douluo Mu En. And your fate will be just like his. Now, tell me, how would you like to die?"
Qian Ran's wicked grin deepened. There was no way he'd let Bei Bei off with a quick death—it would be far too dull.
