[This wave of mutated beasts will last until the end of Round Two — there are two days left. During this time, they will go on a brutal killing spree against humans. Be vigilant! Defend! Defend! Defend! Yes, it's important enough to say three times!]
[Do not even think about trying to kill them. Their strength is far beyond what you can imagine. It's virtually impossible to defeat them on your own. If you are lucky enough to kill one, you will obtain a god-tier skill — something that can make you truly exceptional. Things you could never accomplish before may suddenly become reality. These god-tier skills are randomly assigned, and do not stack if you kill multiple mutated monsters.]
[If you manage to survive this onslaught, the rewards will be beyond your wildest expectations. But if you're eliminated… you will be permanently dead. This is not a drill. Everything is real. Please gather sufficient supplies immediately. The mutated beasts will arrive in 2 hours and 12 minutes.]
[This will be your greatest challenge since arriving in the RV World. You must stay alert and take this seriously. Your survival depends entirely on your own effort and awareness.]
[To prevent the game gap from widening too much, the number of blind boxes has been significantly increased. Use this time wisely — stockpile supplies and survive this crisis with caution.]
[Victory or defeat will be decided here. I sincerely hope you all make it out alive.]
Su Chen stood to the side, dumbfounded after hearing the announcement. He froze right next to the pile of supplies.
He stared blankly at the supplies in front of him, and as he recalled the dreadful news he'd just heard, the joy from earlier completely vanished.
'Aaaah! Mutated beasts — they even sound terrifying, let alone fighting them.
Maybe it'd be better to just hide inside the RV and not come out?'
But then again, what if the RV gets smashed to pieces? Honestly, the idea scared him.
No wonder he'd been able to find so many blind boxes today. There's no such thing as a free lunch in this world.
Now it all made sense.
Su Chen still felt a little unhappy. He'd rather not have gotten all those blind boxes after all.
Most of them were just food anyway — clearly meant to help those who were sunburned or had missed earlier supplies catch up.
If you were just a bit diligent, you could probably gather enough supplies for two days without much trouble.
In just about ten minutes, Su Chen had already found four blind boxes — and that was him taking his time.
If he put in real effort, he was confident he could gather enough food for two days easily.
Even the proud steed standing next to Su Chen was startled by the announcement. After being cooped up at home for so long, she had just stepped out for a stroll — and walked straight into this mess. The chill in her heart was real. She didn't even know what to say.
Even though she was a divine steed and had achieved great feats alongside Su Chen, all the enemies they'd faced before were just ordinary beasts and cannibals.
If they were about to face ravenous, mutated monsters, there was no way she could win. She'd be eaten alive before she even knew what hit her.
Just thinking about it was terrifying — and she was just a little mare who loved munching on tender grass all day.
The fact that her legs were only trembling and hadn't fully given out yet was already impressive. You really couldn't expect too much from her.
After all, she was a girl — she deserved some care and understanding.
...
("I was wondering why the beasts in Round Two seemed less terrifying than those in Round One. Turns out they were just saving the nightmare for later. This game really is bottomless…"
"Is this just straight-up trying to kill us? Forget two days' worth of food — I don't even know what I'm eating for my next meal."
"Mutated beasts, please don't come near me… If they do, none of my people will survive."
"Damn it~ I literally just peed myself. Smiling one second, crying the next.")
At that moment, the global chat channel was filled with wails and despair.
A large portion of people had already begun to picture what death might look like.
("Hey, do you guys think if we die here, we'll return to the real world? Or is it actual, permanent death? I need a straight answer."
"How are we supposed to know? The dead can't revive and tell us. If you're curious, go ahead and try it for yourself."
"I feel like we can return to the real world. Otherwise, I wouldn't still have my consciousness — my life can't just end here."
"To the guy above — if you believe that, why not go die and find out? I bet fifty cents it's real death.")
No one expected the global chat to suddenly spiral into a philosophical debate. It was baffling.
Nothing like this had happened before — this was the first time the entire world collectively felt true pressure.
Su Chen was no exception. Though today was overcast — neither particularly cold nor warm — he was sweating bullets, constantly wiping the beads of sweat from his forehead. His face was flushed red.
Next to him, the steed was stretching her legs, preparing herself — because she knew there was no way she could beat the mutated beasts in a fight. Her only chance was to rely on her speed to avoid being caught.
She'd always loved running, and now she finally had a chance to put her talent to use!
Even though she was scared, there was a weird thrill in her heart. It was a complicated feeling — one only she could truly understand.
No matter what, she was determined to give it her all this time. Whatever the outcome, it would be worth it.
Meanwhile, Su Chen wasn't idle either. He sat by a tree, deep in thought.
After a few minutes of silent contemplation, he finally had an idea.
Then, he made an important decision!
Use all the remaining time to madly stockpile supplies! After all, with the increase in blind boxes, even if he didn't get any powerful weapons, having extra food would still be valuable.
It wasn't hard to imagine that many people would run out of food and be forced to sell everything they had. Su Chen planned to take advantage of this opportunity and make a killing.
He was going to become a ruthless capitalist — and that didn't sound like such a bad plan.
Action speaks louder than words — Su Chen immediately set his supply-hoarding plan into motion.
He adopted a rapid scanning strategy — the wider the area he could see, the more chances he had to find blind boxes. This was by far the most efficient method.
Su Chen hopped onto his divine steed and galloped off at full speed. It all happened in the blink of an eye.
And just like that, he was amazed — the number of blind boxes had really increased. In just half an hour, he collected ten of them.
Now came the moment of frenzied unboxing — tear 'em open, all of them!
[Loot acquired: One bottle of mineral water.]
Su Chen felt like he'd just eaten a mouthful of crap. He was completely speechless.
He didn't even need this stuff! Useless!
[Loot acquired: One piece of RV soundproof door fragment.
Loot acquired: Three red apples.
Loot acquired: Ten boxes of strawberries.
Loot acquired: 98k Sniper Rifle Blueprint.
Loot acquired: One box of pure milk.]
...
'What the hell were these things? After all that effort, this was the haul?
Wait a minute!'
He thought he might've misread something. He rubbed his eyes and looked again.
'Holy crap — it was real!'
