There was nothing, yet there was everything.
Veldor pondered this sentence, struggling to grasp its meaning.
But this sentence reminded Veldor of an answer in the desert.
At that time, he had asked him,
"I heard that even if storms assault cities, volcanoes erupt, mountains collapse… no matter what kind of disasters they face, True Believers still pray to God."
"Do people always need to pray, and what exactly are they praying for?
Are they giving thanks for His silence, or praising His arrangement?"
What was the old Believer's response?
"It is simply just a prayer."
So simple.
Unbelievably simple, yet elusive.
Veldor tried to decipher some hidden meaning from it, but no matter how much he thought, he ended up fruitless, and yet when he stopped pondering, he often gained insight.
This was just like the Scripture said: If you come seeking to take, you will end up with nothing; if you come to understand, you will end up knowing nothing.
