The Grizzlies didn't have a Christmas showdown scheduled this year, which meant the players got the rare opportunity of an extended holiday.
Taking advantage of this, on the day after Christmas, Hansen and Ajalee went to the Memphis Zoo together.
As it turns out, despite living in Memphis for nearly four years, busy with games and training, this was Hansen's first visit.
Their first destination within the zoo was an exhibit called the Northwest Passage.
It was only after stepping inside that Hansen regretted not coming sooner.
Because there were polar bears on display!
These creatures aren't something you can see in just any zoo.
And when they arrived, the big guys were swimming in the glass corridor.
At that moment, Hansen noticed Ajalee making some strange gestures at the polar bears, and what was key was that the polar bears looked back at her.
