"Really guys?" Naarah exclaimed.
She walked into the room holding the baby. Mina's breath caught in her throat. She looked at Aaron, who had frozen.
" Look, Mina. It's the mini," Naarah said excitedly.
She handed the baby to Mina, and Aaron moved back to give them space.
" Hi, baby," Mina said with tears in her eyes.
She was holding her baby. The baby she didn't want was now in her arms. The doe-eyed baby reminded her of Aaron. He shows those eyes when he's with her. She lifted her gaze to meet his.
Aaron tightened his jaw, his gaze fixed on the baby. His clenched fist trembled. He concealed his emotions.
"Aaron?" Mina whispered.
Aaron snapped out of his thoughts. He looked at Mina with a light smile tugging on his lips.
" Do you wanna hold her? She is cute. Isn't she?" Mina smiled.
" N-no, I don't want to hold her," Aaron muttered
How can he hold her when he'd placed both her and her mother through a lot? He couldn't bring himself to hold the tiny baby. He feared he would break her, since she was small.
"W-why?" Mina choked on her tears.
"Don't cry princess, I just don't want to hold her. I don't hate her." Aaron convinced her.
" Then hold her, moron. She is your child." Mina snapped.
Aaron flinched. Mina had never shouted at him before. He swallowed the lump in his throat. He took slow steady steps towards her.
He opened his arms and stared down at the baby.
"I'll hold her, baby" his voice quivered.
Mina nodded her head and placed the baby in his arms gently.
Aaron froze. The baby turned to look at him with giggles. His breath caught in his throat. He lifted himself to have a clear view of the baby.
She kept kicking her little feet and she placed her tiny hand in her mouth. She kept making a sound with every movement she made. His guard relaxed. This was his. He made this with his princess. He couldn't help the smile on his lips.
" This is ours, princess," he said with a smile.
Finally, he was holding their baby. He couldn't wait to brag to his guards and friends. He had his baby. And she was a female. His little princess.
