Chapter 98 - Chapter 156: This Moment, the Time of Silence

Let's talk about Amon.

As the system upgrade completed, he woke from his slumber, refreshed and energized. There was no sensation during the upgrade process—just like having a good sleep, waking with a heightened mental state at its peak.

At that moment, a system prompt echoed in Amon's mind:

"Ding! The system has successfully entered version 2.0. Five pieces of Intertwined Fate have been distributed to the inventory. Please check them carefully."

"Additionally, the system has unlocked new functions. Please explore them on your own."

It was obvious that the upgraded system, now in version 2.0, would be far more efficient and beneficial than before. However, Amon wasn't in the mood to explore the new features right now.

He noticed that the once clear and sunny sky had been replaced by a gloomy, ominous atmosphere. Thunder rumbled in the heavens like the wrath of a god. Rain lashed at the windows with a relentless crackling sound, and flashes of lightning struck the water, sending waves crashing against one another. The scene was eerier than even Inazuma's darkest landscapes.

Amidst this unsettling storm, Amon heard a deafening roar in the distance—a dragon's roar that seemed intent on annihilating everything.

Looking out the window, Amon spotted a massive figure standing amidst the raging sea. It was Beisht, the wife of Osial.

His first thought was that Beisht had come for him.

After all, Amon and Xiao had recently joined forces to seal Osial once more. As Osial's wife, it was only natural for Beisht to harbor a grudge against him.

If Beisht were allowed to continue rampaging, the entire ship would be in grave danger.

With that thought in mind, Amon quickly left his room.

Since the conflict stemmed from him, it was his responsibility to end it.

Outside, Amon saw Ningguang and Qiqi valiantly using the power of their Visions to repel Beisht's assault. Nearby, Beidou, Shenhe, Keqing, and Kamisato Ayaka had also awakened their Visions. The four young ones were working together to protect the ship.

Despite their exhaustion and waning physical strength, they gritted their teeth and persevered.

The sight moved Amon deeply.

He realized that the little ones had been buying him precious time, holding the line for thirty minutes to ensure he could complete his work undisturbed.

These adorable, loyal children were not loved in vain.

When Amon needed help, they gave everything, even risking their lives.

Seeing Amon emerge from his room, their eyes lit up with joy and relief. They had succeeded in their mission.

"Brother Amon, are you finished? That's great!"

"Brother Amon, we kept our promise and didn't let anyone interrupt your work!"

Looking at their sweet, sensible faces, Amon's heart ached.

He nodded and spoke softly, "Thank you, little ones, for your hard work over the past thirty minutes."

"Leave the rest to me. You all deserve a good rest now."

With those words, Amon raised his head and began walking toward Beisht.

He couldn't bear to see the little ones suffer any harm.

For Beisht to attack these children was unforgivable!

Amid the storm, a single man stood against a dragon.

Though Beisht loomed as large as a mountain, Amon's steps were steady, his back as unyielding as a god's. His aura radiated strength, rivaling that of the great beast.

Beisht, noticing Amon, grew angrier and more volatile. Drawing on the ocean's power, the dragon prepared to unleash a devastating blow.

The children, standing nearby, clenched their fists in worry and fear.

Meanwhile, high in the sky, Venti, Zhongli, and Raiden Ei—the three gods—watched in silence, awaiting the coming clash.

Amon advanced, light gathering in his hands. When it finally coalesced, it formed a purple sword: Musou Isshin.

Yae Miko, observing the sword, froze momentarily. She remembered that sword—Raiden Ei's dream blade, kept safe since the passing of Makoto.

But how was it now in Amon's hands?

Could it be that Amon possessed another Musou Isshin?

Her gaze shifted to Raiden Ei, whose expression remained neutral, though her eyes were locked onto the blade. Beneath her calm exterior, Ei's emotions were anything but serene.

...

Amon stopped, raising his gaze to meet the towering figure of Beisht.

The wind whipped his robes, rain drenched his hair, yet his eyes burned bright, glowing with an intense purple light, accompanied by the crackle of lightning.

The Musou Isshin in his hand mirrored his energy, its blade blazing with purple light.

Beisht faltered, sensing Amon's overwhelming aura. The dragon's fury gave way to fear, and it tried to flee.

But Amon would not let it escape.

Those who dared harm his children would pay the ultimate price.

Clutching the Musou Isshin tightly, Amon swung the blade with all his might.

In that instant, the world seemed to darken. Thunder roared like an ocean's fury, and a violet tempest surged forth, splitting the sea in two and carving an abyssal chasm.

Beisht's massive form shattered into countless fragments, scattering into the ocean's depths.

As the storm dissipated, the sky cleared once more.

Yet before Amon could catch his breath, he felt an oppressive force rapidly approaching the ship—a power far beyond Beisht's. It was domineering, inviolable, and overwhelming.

Even Beisht seemed insignificant compared to this force.

Amon recognized this aura—it was the same divine energy he had once felt from Zhongli.

Before he could process what was happening, his surroundings shifted.

The sea, sky, and even the children vanished, replaced by desolate ashes and a dim, crimson light.

He stood in the Plane of Euthymia, and before him was a woman with an indifferent expression, her most striking feature a teardrop mole beneath her eye.

It was Raiden Ei—the Narukami Ogosho.
