Chapter 365: Gas Explosion
The private room was too small, making it difficult for the kids to fully unleash their abilities.
Even Robert didn't dare to release his gas indiscriminately in such a confined space.
"Damn brats!"
Bartolomei Ding covered his nose and mouth. He didn't know what this gas was, but instinct screamed that it was dangerous to breathe in.
"Shoot them! Kill those little brats!"
Seeing the kids already reaching the door, Bartolomei Ding roared in fury.
The dozen or so gangsters around him covered their faces while pulling out pistols from their belts.
Seeing this, Deidara quickly moved in front of his younger siblings.
As a bomb user, Deidara was immune to explosive damage—bullets too.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Gunfire rang out!
Deidara stood firm in front of his siblings, blocking the bullets without a scratch.
"What the hell?!"
The gangsters were stunned by what they saw, instinctively lowering the sleeves they'd used to cover their mouths.
Ugh!
In the next second, they inhaled Robert's gas—and instantly felt like they were suffocating.
Boom!
Robert kicked open the door and rushed out with Trunks and Kakarot.
But the chaos inside had already attracted every enforcer in the casino.
"Don't let them escape! Shoot them dead!"
Bartolomei Ding's furious voice echoed through the halls.
The casino goons quickly regained their composure and readied to attack.
But Robert wasn't about to give them that chance.
Now that they were in open space, he could go all out.
"Vacuum World!"
Robert clapped his hands together, releasing a powerful wave of gas.
The gangsters quickly noticed something was wrong—the air was getting thinner, and breathing became difficult.
They all clutched their throats, desperately gasping for breath.
Some, realizing their end was near, tried to launch a final attack.
Maintaining Vacuum World was taking a toll on Robert. With more and more goons charging at them, sweat began dripping down his face.
"Deidara! Now! Use that move!"
Robert shouted.
Deidara, having just finished off a few enemies, rushed to Robert's side. They exchanged a glance.
Robert's body dissolved into wisps of a special gas.
"Hold your breath!"
Robert yelled, warning his two younger brothers.
Trunks and Kakarot immediately clamped their hands over their mouths and noses.
"Gas Explosion!"
Deidara, seeing the gas fill the room, swung his fist forward with force.
BOOM!
A massive explosion erupted.
Flames spread across the entire casino.
CRASH!
Glass shattered as the fire consumed everything in sight.
The only area left untouched was a vacuum bubble Robert had created around their group—no air, no combustion.
The explosion rocked the entire town of Loguetown.
Elsewhere in town:
Estes.
Kaiser.
Barrett.
Charlotte.
They all turned to look in the same direction.
At Loguetown's Marine Base, the marine colonel stood on the third floor, watching the flames erupting downtown through the window.
"That looks like… Bartolomei's casino?"
he said uncertainly.
"Doesn't matter. Whatever happens, we didn't see anything."
He drew the curtains and turned on music to block out the noise.
Meanwhile, Estes furrowed her brows at the thick plume of smoke.
"That explosion… could it be Robert and the others?"
She immediately set off at a brisk pace toward the scene.
Others followed close behind.
Charlotte, having already cast Observation Haki over the entire island, quickly located the source.
"Heh. Those little brats really know how to cause a scene. But why the hell were they at a casino?"
He frowned but didn't rush—his Haki confirmed they weren't in danger.
"Cough!"
Deidara had faced the explosion head-on. While the blast itself didn't harm him, the thick smoke made him choke.
"That was… intense."
Robert looked stunned at the destruction he and Deidara had caused together.
"Cool! Robert, Deidara, that move was awesome!"
Trunks cheered once the air cleared and he could breathe again.
Robert grinned slightly.
Around them, the gangsters who had tried to attack now lay motionless—charred bodies scattered across the floor, the air thick with the smell of roasted meat.
Deidara took a breath and immediately felt queasy.
The scene was grim.
Robert's face also changed.
"We need to get out of here!"
he urged.
"You damn brats!"
From within the blackened ruins, a man emerged—his body burned and covered in char.
It was Bartolomei Ding.
"You're still alive?"
Robert stared at the burned man in surprise.
Ding didn't respond. He glared at them with hateful, bloodshot eyes.
"Hmph! You got lucky and survived, and you still have the nerve to show yourself? Then just go die!"
Deidara stepped forward, eyes sharp.
His father had always told him—never show mercy to an enemy, especially one filled with hate.
He pulled the pistol from his belt, aimed at Ding's forehead, and pulled the trigger.
Bang!
The bullet struck between Ding's eyes.
His body fell backward, limp—lifeless.
Deidara's cold, decisive action ended his life instantly.
Kakarot watched in silence.
"Let's go."
He muttered, unsure how to feel.
They had cheated, burned down a casino, and killed its owner. Guilt stirred in his heart.
Deidara waved him off.
"Hold up. We haven't taken our spoils yet. Let's check the fourth floor!"
He sprinted up the stairs.
Robert and Trunks's eyes lit up at the idea and quickly followed.
Kakarot looked at the corpse again. He still didn't even know the man's name.
He sighed and slowly followed the others.
"Robert… don't you think we went too far?"
Kakarot whispered as he reached the fourth floor.
But Robert, too busy digging through valuables, didn't respond.
