Chapter 363 - Chapter 363: The Casino

Chapter 363: The Casino

Robert and the others gathered around a gambling table.

"Hahaha! What's going on with this casino? No one else to play? You're putting a bunch of brats at the table?!"

A bearded middle-aged man sat casually at the table, and when he saw five or six kids sit across from him, he burst into laughter.

"Sir, our casino never turns away a guest—especially not a paying one!"

A bunny girl strolled over, brushing her ample chest against the man as she spoke in a flirtatious voice.

The middle-aged man was immediately swayed by her charm.

"Then let's get started!"

He leaned forward eagerly.

"Robert… you sure you can do this?" Deidara asked nervously, eyeing the cards on the table.

"We'll find out soon enough, won't we?" Robert replied confidently, picking up his cards.

"100,000 Berries!" the middle-aged man raised the bet instantly.

Robert looked at his hand and gritted his teeth.

"I'll match! 100,000 Berries!"

This money had been painstakingly saved from pocket change Robert had secretly stashed from his dad.

As the stack of Berries was pushed onto the table, Deidara, Trunks, Philip, and Kakarot all watched nervously.

"Reveal!" the dealer called out.

The middle-aged man flipped his cards first.

"What?!"

Robert's face turned pale.

"Please reveal your cards," the dealer urged.

Robert, visibly distressed, slowly turned over his four cards.

"Straight flush! Dealer wins!"

The dealer swept away the 100,000 Berries Robert had just bet.

"Damn! That was so close!" Deidara said, frustrated by the narrow loss.

"Would you like to continue?" the dealer asked politely.

The middle-aged man looked smug, eyeing the kids with satisfaction.

"Robert, how much do you have left? One more round!" Deidara nudged him.

"…Only 100,000 left," Robert muttered under his breath.

"Well then, one more hand!" Deidara encouraged.

Robert glared at him.

"This is the last of my money!"

"It's fine! One win and we'll earn it all back!" Deidara insisted.

Their whispered conversation didn't escape the ears of those around them, who all watched the kids with amusement.

"Yeah, come on, Robert! Maybe you'll win this time!" Trunks chimed in excitedly.

"…Alright! One more hand!"

Robert clenched his jaw and pulled out the last of his saved-up allowance.

"Deal!" the middle-aged man said eagerly.

The dealer distributed the cards.

Robert quickly peeked at his hand—his heart sank.

"Nope!"

Robert threw his cards face down.

The dealer immediately collected the 10,000 Berry base bet.

"What? Why fold so fast? That's a waste of money!" Deidara frowned.

"The hand was terrible! I couldn't play that," Robert said bitterly.

"Now what? Keep going?"

Even Deidara was starting to regret it.

So much money—he could've bought loads of snacks. Now it was all gone.

"Um… Robert, Deidara, can I try?"

A voice cut in.

The two looked up to see Kakarot eyeing the cards with curiosity.

"No way! You're too young! If Dad finds out I took you gambling, he'll beat us both!" Robert waved his hands in panic.

"Yeah, absolutely not!" Deidara agreed.

It was bad enough they had come to gamble themselves—dragging in more younger siblings would get them killed.

"But I can help you win it all back," Kakarot said with confidence.

He had been watching carefully and already figured out the rules. He was feeling very confident.

"Did you forget what my ability is?" Kakarot added, voice low enough not to be overheard.

Robert and Deidara froze.

Kakarot had the Card-Card Fruit—a devil fruit seemingly tailor-made for a casino setting.

The two exchanged glances… and then nodded.

Robert stepped down from the table.

The middle-aged man sneered.

"Backing out already, little brat? Go cry to your mommy!"

It was clear he'd just won another round and was feeling invincible.

"Hmph! You're celebrating too early!" Robert snorted, pushing Kakarot forward.

"He's taking over!"

"Huh, another little runt?" the man muttered.

He couldn't care less—what mattered was raking in more cash.

"Deal the cards," he ordered the dealer.

The cards were dealt.

Kakarot looked at them and smiled faintly.

Then, without even glancing at his hand, he declared:

"Call. 100,000 Berries!"

"Hah! Kid, you trying to bluff me? I call too! 100,000 Berries!" the man shouted, riding his winning streak.

Kakarot glanced at his hand:

Spade 3, Heart 4, Diamond 6, Diamond 7—

Not good.

But he gently rubbed the cards with his fingers.

His pupils flickered with a faint red glow.

In that instant, he saw the cards in his opponents' hands.

With a grin, he slapped down his cards.

"Three twos! Triple threat!"

Three identical cards hit the table.

The smug grins of the other players froze in place.

"What?!"

The middle-aged man stared at his Ace, 2, and 3—unable to believe what just happened.

The only possible combo that could beat him… and this kid hit it.

The other two grumbled and tossed their cards aside.

The dealer looked at Kakarot in surprise.

"Three of a kind—twos. Winner!"

All the chips on the table were pushed toward Kakarot.

"Hahaha! Kakarot, you're the best brother ever!" Robert cried, diving onto the pile of nearly 400,000 Berries.
