Dave's eyes scanned the scene, sharp and calculating. Among the chaos, he still hadn't seen Kim Hyun, the man he was told to look for, the one with the red mask. The supposed leader of this entire base. The ghost behind the curtain.
And then there was the bomb.
The system had warned him about it, but offered no clarity on its location or if it had already been triggered. For all he knew, the countdown could already be ticking. Fighting these idiots? It was nothing but a distraction and a waste of time.
He needed to finish this quickly, and find his wives before it was too late.
Two more masked men stepped into view, their blades drawn and charging with reckless aggression. Their swords sliced through the air in desperate arcs, but Dave didn't flinch. What flinched was his rifle which had barked twice.
