It was unassuming in design but unmistakable in presence. Sleek, deadly, and modern. A weapon most people had stopped using in a world crawling with beasts.
Beasts that are strong enough to survive multiple attacks from the said weapon. Especially the advanced tier beasts.
Gasps rippled through the crowd as they saw the gun in Dave's hand.
"A rifle! He's got a rifle!" one of the masked men shouted, his voice cracking with disbelief and a sudden fear.
But he wouldn't get another word out as a sharp PANG split the air, the gunshot echoing like a whipcrack against the stone walls.
