Kim glance his eyes at Yuriel's back, tracing it down until her wounds is in sight.
"Yuriel, your wound, how is it?"
Yuriel narrowed her head toward her wound before looking at Kim.
"I'm fine!"
She said with a smile, trying to reassure Kim concern looks.
"What did Eras do to you while I was unconscious?"
Yuriel smile fade slowly, she looks ahead. Kim apologizes for asking but she shakes her head.
"I didn't even manage to hit him once… even worse, I let you get beaten and Mary… taken."
Daima hearing this scuffs at them before putting both of his hands in his small pocket.
Kim gently taps his cheek against Yuriel back's.
"I see… I'm still useless as ever."
He mutters. The three walks in silent and during this journey, Kim think to himself.
"And that dream… we talked about his power, and what Mary said to me. A new town and something about the 'red hand' what was that about?"
His mind wander around before coming to a conclusion.
"Hey Yuriel."
"Hmm?"
She turned her head to look at Kim who is fidgeting a little.
"Did Mary tell you about the new town and 'red hand'?"
Yuriel's eye widen, a bit of surprise to her expression as she covered her mouth. She nods as Kim continues.
"And the 'red hand' did she tell you that it was a way to escape this place?"
"How did you..?"
"Erm, I guess I heard while you guys were talking, I must've wake up for a bit before going back to sleep."
Yuriel raised her eyebrows at Kim before looking ahead.
"I suppose that make sense,"
She sighed, a tired sigh at that.
"She told me that there will be an impregnable fleshy wall up ahead, we have to find a way to climb it then complete a maze only then will we reach the new town. And for the 'red hand' it's a bit complicated.."
"How so?"
Kim asks with a wary expression, he begins to think to himself for a moment.
"Now that I think about it, my memory's have been way to sudden, it came out of nowhere… so who knows if my memory still being alter as of now…"
Kim wander off, his eyes stare forward in the darkness, Yuriel waves her hand in front of Kim's face, getting his attention.
"Huh?"
"Did you hear what I just said?"
Kim nods in embarrassment.
"So what I'd said before was that for the 'red hand' to be activated, you would need to…"
Daima cuts off Yuriel, annoyed at Kim for not paying attention before.
"You would need to kill many lives, so that the essence of the lives you took could power up the 'red hand'! That's why my mother never thought of using it as a escape way… my father tried to convince her but she refused."
He yelled out, a bit of sorrow in his voice ready to break anytime. He wipes his eyes before walking forward again.
Kim looked apologetic at Daima.
"I.. see. I-"
He tried to speak but he was unsure on how to respond so he just stare at Daima with a bit of remorse.
. . .
The three finally made it to the 'wall' they glare upward trying to spot the tops but it felt endless. The top of the wall is nowhere to be seen.
"I don't see an end to it. Also why is it just called the 'wall'? It sound a bit too bleak."
Kim said as he walked forward and put his palm against the 'wall'.
"I don't know but Mary told me that the height of this 'wall' is estimated around 1956 meters tall and probably more."
Kim was shocked to hear this, he looked up towards the wall again.
"1956 meters? So how do we get up there?"
Yuriel shrugged.
"Climbing isn't an option, it's way too tall and we are also injured.."
Daima let out a groan of annoyance, catching both Kim's and Yuriel's attention.
"Why not used the terrains of the wall to our advantage?"
"How will that work? Also what does that even mean?"
Kim asks.
Daima points at the deformed parts of the wall that is sticking out. Upon closer inspection, the 'wall' seems to be breathing, a gust of air moving through the walls pass by Kim and the group.
"Is the 'wall' alive?"
Kim asks.
"Seem to be I guess."
Yuriel said before taking a steps foward toward the 'wall' she clench her rights hand into a fist and took a jab at it.
The 'wall' groan out in pain and agony, it started to beat faster, moving back and forth relentlessly. Only after a while it stops pounding.
"What did you do that for?"
Kim asks.
Yuriel's answer to Kim's question was vague.
"To test out something, and on what not to do."
Before Kim could asks what that meant, Yuriel jumped onto the 'wall', tucking her foot inside the little hole within the 'wall'.
"Just wait right here."
She said as she continued to make her way up tot he tops, what seems to be hours of silence and quiet, a bit of anticipation building up. Yuriel have been climbing for hours, maybe even days.
"She said to not climb it but yet she climbing it herself, how does that make sense?"
Looking up at the wall once again, Kim sees a dim light falling down, a fire entangled with one another emerge from the darkness as it dangle down waiting for someone to tug it.
Kim looks at Daima before looking back at the ropes made up of fire,
"This must be Yuriel's rope."
He hesitantly approaches the ropes, extending both of his hand on it, he clenches the ropes tightly. His fingers wrapped around the cord, its burning yet Kim felt no sensation of it.
"I thought it will be hot but it had a bit of gentle warmth to it."
Kim felt a slight tugging on his shirt, he look to see it was Daima staring down at the ground.
"Hm.. he have a nasty personality but he did lose his father and now his mother, he is a child also.. ugh damn I'm so childish."
He grabs ahold of Daima by the waist, making sure he won't fall off during an accident. They slowly ascends up the wall, seeing a bits of blood stain painted on the wall but they can't tell if it always been there or if it fresh..
