Tangno Karashi's heartbeat was quickening by the second.
She had undergone shinobi training in the past, but standing alone before Uchiha Mirai, she still felt an overwhelming sense of oppression.
It was as if, in the very next second, he could tear her apart with lightning-fast precision.
Barely a few moments had passed before she could no longer hold out.
Her legs gave way, and she sank to her knees on the cold floor.
Only then did Mirai speak, his voice calm and cold.
"Tell me your plan."
The suffocating pressure in the room lifted slightly. Tangno Karashi immediately replied,
"We came here this time because Boro-sama wants to expand the virus's reach throughout the Land of Snow."
"Then, Boro-sama would use his 'cure' as a way to spread his doctrine."
"That way, he can attract more believers to his cause."
She spilled everything she knew in one go. Part of her had wanted to hold something back, to protect at least a shred of integrity—but in front of Mirai, she didn't have the courage to lie.
"Where is Boro now?"
"I don't know exactly... but I'm sure he'll arrive in the Land of Snow within the next few days."
Uchiha Mirai stepped forward and pinched her delicate cheek, his tone mild.
"You did well. If Boro shows up within the next three days, I'll spare your life."
With that, Mirai turned and walked out of the chamber.
Tangno Karashi collapsed completely to the ground, drained of strength.
He was terrifying.
How could Kara possibly win against a monster like this?

Three days later.
A tall, muscular man dressed in revealing clothing and a slender, effeminate man entered the Land of Snow.
The androgynous man was the first to speak.
"Boro, I really don't understand why you're wasting so much time building some religious cult here in the Land of Snow. What good are those civilians, anyway?"
"It'd be quicker to just kill whoever's in charge and take over by force."
Boro snorted. "The leader has forbidden us from exposing ourselves. This is the only way to expand Kara's foothold for now."
"Deepa, I actually feel the same way as you. With Kara's strength, taking over a place like the Land of Snow would be child's play."
Deepa gave a cold, twisted smile.
"I really don't get why the boss is so afraid of that Uchiha Mirai guy."
Boro nodded in agreement.
"Exactly. He's just one human. The only reason he managed to unify the ninja world is because we didn't intervene."
Their voices brimmed with arrogant confidence.
As artificially modified humans, they possessed strength far beyond that of ordinary shinobi.
Even someone like Uchiha Mirai, who had united the entire ninja world, didn't seem threatening to them.
A strong ant was still just an ant.
"So, where's the guy who's supposed to meet up with us this time?"
Deepa frowned impatiently.
"Outer members are all the same," Boro said with irritation. "I've already instructed Sanzu Amado to begin cloning Asama Santayū. Once the clone is complete, I'll have no further use for the original."
Time ticked by.
Just as the two grew increasingly impatient, a pair of figures—one man and one woman—approached from the distance.
"Tangno Karashi..."
Boro had just opened his mouth to scold her for being late when he spotted the man beside her—Uchiha Mirai.
His expression changed instantly.
"Uchiha Mirai?!"
"Tangno Karashi, you betrayed me?"
Tangno Karashi stared at him coldly.
"Isn't it obvious? I've had enough of following freaks like you dressed in ridiculous outfits."
She had already chosen betrayal, so there was no point in pretending anymore.
She had only joined Kara because her life had hit rock bottom. There was never any true loyalty in her heart.
Seeing his former subordinate show such blatant defiance, Boro flew into a rage.
He clenched his fists tightly and growled,
"I'll kill both of you right here and now!"
Deepa licked his lips, looking excited.
"Now this is more like it. Looks like I'll get to enjoy myself today."
Mirai's expression didn't change. He simply gave them a dismissive smirk.
"Let's see what these so-called cyborgs can actually do."
Deepa stepped forward, laughing wildly.
"Then let me see that look of despair on your face!"
He waved his hand, and countless compressed carbon fragments shot toward Mirai like bullets.
Uchiha Mirai let out a soft grunt. A blood-red skeletal barrier formed in front of him, deflecting every single projectile with ease.
Deepa's expression twisted into something even more frenzied.
His entire body was soon encased in a shimmering carbon armor. Long, blade-like claws extended from his arms as he lunged at Mirai.
Clang!
His blade slammed into the red skeletal barrier with a sharp ring—but didn't even leave a scratch.
Mirai couldn't hide the disappointment on his face.
"So this is the strength of Kara's inner members…"
Before crossing over, he'd only skimmed through the Boruto story, so his knowledge of Kara was limited.
He'd assumed Kara's members would at least rival Akatsuki in strength—but this was just pathetic.
His expression made Deepa feel humiliated.
Ever since his transformation, he had seen himself as a superior being, casually hunting ordinary humans for sport.
But now? This man dared to look at him with pity?
"Don't look down on me, bastard!"
Deepa roared, pouring all his strength into another attack.
Mirai sidestepped, coiling his arm, then struck with a sharp elbow punch.

The force was so immense that Deepa's body exploded into countless fragments on impact.
Mirai raised an eyebrow, a smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
"Too hard, so it broke too easily, huh?"
He hadn't expected that casual blow to shatter Deepa completely.
He turned to face Boro.
Boro gave a cold snort and launched his own attack.
"I'm not like that idiot Deepa."
"Lava Releasell!"
A flood of acidic slime surged toward Uchiha Mirai, erupting into a series of violent explosions.
But in the next instant—Boro's arm was blown apart.
"Too weak. Not even remotely interesting."
"But I suppose Orochimaru will enjoy having you as a test subject."
Uchiha Mirai activated Kamui and banished Boro into his personal dimension.
With Boro captured, he'd be able to extract even more information about Kara.
