Fiona stirred slightly, her eyes fluttering open as Fifi dragged her behind a broken slab of stone.
The pain in her chest pulsed with every breath.
But her vision cleared just enough to see the battlefield.
And there—silver hair, calm steps, fire behind her.
"…Is that… Liora?" Fiona asked, voice weak.
Fifi blinked and looked back at her.
"I… I don't know," she said softly.
"But she's strong. Really strong. And she has this… hot energy around her."
Fiona chuckled weakly, her voice dry.
"That's her alright."
"Silver hair. Cold eyes. And fire that doesn't fade."
"She'll kill him."
Fifi looked back over the rocks again.
Liora stood straight, her arms folded, waiting as Vernyx growled across from her.
"You really think she can?" Fifi asked.
Fiona gave her a crooked smile.
"Of course. She's even stronger than me."
