Chapter 7 - Chapter 5: Satoru Gojo’s Test—The Pitiful Semi-Grade 1 Cursed Spirit

"Give it to me! It's all mine! Give it to me!" The cursed spirit in midair seemed to be trapped by an invisible hand, as if the very fabric of space had frozen under an eerie power. Even the air around them seemed to solidify in response to Satoru Gojo's gestures.

The overwhelming force surged through the factory, compressing the semi-grade 1 cursed energy into an innocuous mass.

Feeling the strange changes in his surroundings, Ryuuichi was thoroughly astonished. "So this is Satoru Gojo! Truly terrifying, to possess such incredible power at such a young age!"

At that moment, Gojo casually flicked his fingers. The cursed spirit suspended in midair twisted and contorted like clay being molded by a child's hands. Its already amorphous body, lacking bones, was suddenly twisted into a bizarre shape.

"Ahhhh!!! Aaaah!!!" The cursed spirit let out a heart-wrenching wail, resembling a lamb awaiting slaughter—weak and pitiful.

"It's truly strange. Cursed energy is supposed to be imprinted within a sorcerer's body from birth, yet you've broken the rules," Gojo mused, his gaze shifting back to Ryuuichi after only a moment's pause on the wretched spirit.

As his sunglasses slipped slightly, his stunning azure eyes were revealed for the first time. Within those celestial orbs, it seemed the entire starry sky spun in harmony, adhering to some unspoken law.

"Every time I see them, I'm utterly awestruck," Ryuuichi thought as he met Gojo's gaze, which both cursed spirits and sorcerers revered.

There was no hint of anxiety in his demeanor, only a trace of admiration directed at the infamous "Six Eyes."

"If the Six Eyes could be plucked out, those ancient sorcerers would have long since lost their composure…" Gojo continued, his tone dripping with sarcasm as he noted Ryuuichi's silence.

"Members of the Gojo clan won't stand idly by; those ancient ones will definitely consider the consequences." Ryuuichi looked up at the twisted, shifting cursed spirit, speaking casually.

Just as Gojo opened his mouth to respond, his expression suddenly shifted. "Not good!!"

Rumbling!!!

A massive arm erupted from the ground, a terrifying force that instantly tore the earth apart. Gojo quickly dodged, but Ryuuichi had already vanished the moment the arm appeared.

"Another one?"

Gojo leaped to a high platform, surveying the cursed spirit that had emerged, identical to its airborne counterpart. He shrugged helplessly.

"Give it to me! All of it!!" The newly appeared cursed spirit roared, and Ryuuichi's figure slowly materialized before it.

"Hey, Gojo, your tests are getting a bit cliché," Ryuuichi complained, casting a discontented glance at Gojo, who was seated atop the platform like an audience member at a show.

If someone else had overlooked the presence of another semi-grade 1 cursed spirit, Ryuuichi might have believed them. But with Gojo's Six Eyes, it was impossible for him not to see them—cursed spirits stood out like beacons in the night.

Gojo rubbed his chin thoughtfully, chuckling softly without responding. He felt unable to fully gauge Ryuuichi's strength, and since this opportunity had presented itself, he wouldn't let it slip away. Moreover, he didn't believe that his "equal" could be harmed by such a low-tier spirit.

"Give it to me! All of it!!"

The cursed spirit's voice held a tinge of sobbing as it stretched its countless arms, resembling a centipede covered in various sizes of cursed energy.

Fierce and relentless, it lunged at Ryuuichi.

"Alright, alright, I'll give it to you," Ryuuichi replied with a hint of exasperation, as if facing a monstrous child simply asking for a lollipop.

Raising two fingers in a cross, the cross pendant on his chest glimmered with a ghostly light.

Rumbling!!

Bang! Bang! Bang!!!

In an instant, the cursed spirit's multitude of arms was halted just before reaching Ryuuichi by a wave of azure light. Any arms that touched the glowing barrier withered away like they had been poisoned, rotting at an alarming rate.

The ghostly light formed a semi-transparent shield in front of Ryuuichi, blocking the cursed spirit's strength entirely.

"Ahhh!!" the cursed spirit howled, while its counterpart in the sky was nearly obliterated by Gojo's technique.

"You want cursed tools, do you? Here you go."

Ryuuichi waved his hand nonchalantly.

The next moment, the cross burst forth with immense cursed energy.

The azure light resembled a hellish flower blooming in beauty yet deadliness, instantly engulfing the cursed spirit.

Countless dark purple cursed energies were absorbed by the ghostly blue light.

Boom!

Almost simultaneously, the cursed spirit in the sky exploded into a cloud of dust.

"Instantly crafting cursed tools and being able to summon them at will, combined with your ability to absorb cursed energy, Ryuuichi, you're truly remarkable," Gojo marveled as he watched everything unfold below him. Under the scrutiny of his Six Eyes, he saw clearly all that Ryuuichi had just done.
