Atlas remained cold the entire time, unconcerned by the man's pleas for mercy. Atlas looked at him like the dirty bug he was, and he said in a flat voice, "Go. Don't make me repeat myself."
Cody's entire body trembled like he was trying to resist the orders. No matter how much he wants to refuse, he can't. It's like his body no longer belongs to him.
He's completely trapped in his own body.
He feels completely terrified and hopeless.
