There was an aura around me, and I could feel my face stretching like something was under the skin. I was about to touch my face to see what it was, but I suddenly fell, lost all my energy and strength, and couldn't even stand.
Lady Allennor and Eryndor came; they helped me stand up and brought me into the pavilion, sat me on a bench.
Then Lady Allennor put her on my chest and said, "Don't worry, I will heal you." Then a green glow spread on my chest, and I regained some energy and was able to talk. And I asked her, "Why did you attack?"
She smiled and said, "We had to check what you are capable of, but I didn't think I would have to push you so much for it."
"I told you I can't use mana or magic," I said with a shaky voice.
"I believe you. But I had you show Eryndor here so I could clear you of the suspicion of being a spy or a threat."
"How can you be so sure?" I asked her.
"I had a feeling that you were not a bad person," she said, which was surprising to think she was sent here as an investigator, but as long as I'm freed, I don't care.
She continued and asked, "So what's your story? How do you have the mana of the spirit tree mixed in your mana so much that it's indistinguishable? And I'm sure I saw roots under your skin."
Then I told them all what happened to me from waking up in this world to how I ended up here.
Lady Allennor and Elder Hira were very surprised to hear what I had to say.
Lady Allennor curiously, "So you are from another world, and I got destroyed. If so, how are you here?"
"Maybe I'm not sure about what happened to me and how I ended up here. When those mages were trying to read my memories, I saw some things that made me doubt my own memories. It's all blurry, so until I don't remember. I can't be sure about what happened."
"So, think someone tampered with your memories." Lady Allennor asked.
"I'm not sure," I replied.
"So, did you feel pain when those roots spread under your skin? " she asked me.
"My skin just felt stretched, nothing more."
Then I asked her, "Why did the grass and flowers bloom because of my mana?"
Lady Allennor was about to answer, but before she could say anything....
The Elder said, "The spirit tree is known as a sacred tree that pours life into the world, which is why it's also known as the world tree. You have the mana of the same nature as the spirit tree had the same effect."
"Hey Granny, I was going to say the same thing." Lady Allennor said The Elder replied, 'I was tired of listening to you two talk to each other like we weren't here, I had to say something."
Then she looked at me and said, "Once you learn to control your mana, this won't happen. Currently, your mana blasts out when you're in danger and spreads in the surrounding environment like natural mana. When you have control over it, you can do whatever you want with it."
I asked the elder Hira, "Are the roots in my body harmful to me? "
She said, "No, the spirit tree's roots are unlike others. The moment they entered your body, they became mana and became a part of you. What we just saw were your veins that took the shape of roots. because of the uncontrolled nature of your mana"
"So, how do I learn to use my mana?" I asked with a confused expression.
"That part is easy, I'll teach you, but first you need to rest," Lady Allennor said.
Eryndor, who was sitting on the bench listening to us all talk, said, "I still don't trust you but if Elder Hira says you're innocent, then I will have you cleared of all charges but it will take time to finish the paperwork, so you can't leave until tomorrow ." his eyes still had a cold glare in them when ever I saw in those eyes all I saw was doubts and distrust.
He left after that.
"Don't worry he has his reasons for not trusting anyone" Elder Hira said.
