"Six months ago… this thing is now crammed into the maintenance tunnel, and its growth hasn't slowed down at all…" Parker grumbled.
Aileen Wang let out a long sigh, leaned against the side, and slowly slid to the ground, appearing like she couldn't take it anymore.
"It's too hot in here, and now there's no way out, let's go," Chen Ke said.
Parker nodded, turned into a wisp of ash, and darted back towards where they'd come from. On the other side of the ladder, there was a sliding door.
Chen Ke grabbed Aileen Wang's arm and helped her to her feet, his hand slick with sticky sweat.
The three squeezed to the opening of the sliding door and climbed out one by one.
Parker was the first to climb outside, taking a look around and noting nothing unusual, then helped Aileen Wang out, with Chen Ke following behind.
