Dani looked at his watch impatiently. The house's owner should have arrived home an hour ago, yet Rana Gadot was still nowhere to be seen.
Unsure if something unexpected had occurred.
For now, it was all about waiting—waiting until 9 o'clock, or at the latest until 10 o'clock. If Rana hadn't returned by then, it meant she wouldn't be coming back home tonight.
Such situations were fairly normal, but if Rana was a double agent, Dani had to consider whether some information had leaked and tipped her off.
Just as Dani was about to lose patience and begin handling the situation assuming a breach of protocol, he finally saw Rana Gadot's car pull into the driveway.
It was exhausting—staking out for more than half a day, staying far away, and monitoring through binoculars, fearing even the slightest oversight could give him away.
