Watching her daughter's back, Serena's lips curved into a charming smile, and she leaned closer to her husband, whispering softly.
"Darling, who do you think our precious daughter will choose? It's really exciting."
"There's not much to guess," Feistin chuckled lightly and said in a gentle tone, "I'm more interested in what you think of that young man. Did he manage to capture your heart?"
Hearing his playful banter, Serena teasingly pinched his arm.
"Are you really jealous?"
"How could that be?" Feistin, amused and helpless, looked at his pretentious wife and wrapped his arms around her shoulder, speaking gently, "Alright, alright, I was just saying it casually...
Speaking of which, the awkward way he tried to strike up a conversation reminded me of the past, bringing back some memories.
Of course, it was only later that I realized that the truly skillful hunters often appear as prey... but that's a story for another time.
