Lily was dropped off at the school but didn't allow Angus to see her off. After much pleading and countless kisses, she finally managed to drive him away.
"Ah, so clingy," she smiled and walked to her classroom. Upon arriving, she noticed that the class was quite full, but she didn't think too much of it and simply headed to her seat.
As soon as she sat down, a figure immediately appeared before her.
"Lily, I heard that you offended a higher-class man yesterday. How are you now? You weren't abused, were you?" Lu Chen inquired, his voice filled with concern.
Lily looked around the entire class and noticed a particular girl missing. She smirked and turned to Lu Chen. "Do I look like someone who's been abused?" she raised a brow.
Lu Chen let out a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness you're fine. I was so worried I left the hospital," he remarked.
"That's your own cup of tea," Lily responded emotionlessly and pulled out her books.
