Angus flashed Lily a warm smile. "Are you tired? Let me take you home," he offered.
"I..."
"Ah, since Miss Lily is tired, you should just go home and rest. I'll arrange the other things," the principal interrupted quickly.
Without another word, Angus lifted Lily into his arms and stood up. "I believe you saw what happened earlier. I won't hesitate to take action if nothing is done," he stated coldly.
"I'll surely take action, I will!" the principal stammered, his heart pounding as if it might leap out of his chest.
Angus made no further comment and was about to leave, but Lily stopped him. "Put me down. I can walk," she murmured.
"I can't hear you," Angus replied, already heading out.
"Angus, we're still on school premises. Put me down, okay?" Lily spoke louder.
"But it's been so long since I last carried you. Why should I put you down? I don't care—I'm carrying you," Angus responded stubbornly.
