"Xia Xiao, you've finally come back," Ning Hui said with joy upon seeing Xia Xiao return. She hurried forward and said, "It feels so strange without you; I've been looking forward to your return every day."
"Where's Sister Xuehua?" Xia Xiao asked when she didn't see Yang Xuehua.
"She went out," Ning Hui said. She then added, "Another person who used to be a teacher joined our production team, from the same city as you."
A teacher from her city must not be an educated youth.
"How are things between you and Secretary Li?" Xia Xiao inquired.
Ning Hui pouted, "Nothing much, but he did invite me over for dinner during New Year."
"That's a good sign," Xia Xiao said. This showed that Li Zhenchuan was loosening up.
"But every time I bring up family matters, he gets unhappy again," Ning Hui said, clearly frustrated. "My family is pressuring me; how could I not talk to him about it?"
