Chai Xuanyi was quite cooperative and readily agreed to Ran Yan's request, personally leading them to the bookroom.
The Chai residence's bookroom held an impressive number of books, which was not at all fewer than those in Xiao Song's residence. There was a pear wood bookshelf as tall as a person situated near the south wall, on which were placed many scrolls and record books.
It was eight months ago that Chai Xuanyi had rolled down the hillside, which resulted in his amnesia. Seeing the sheer volume of records, it was apparent that the documentation had been ongoing for quite some time and should be quite detailed.
Ran Yan sought out the record book from the most recent period to examine.
Chai Xuanyi said, "After the two of you finish, you can leave on your own."
Ran Yan understood his thought process, he might not recognize them when they met again later.
