Residents of the alley looked over curiously and then went about their own business.
Lan Tian returned to the hall and saw Mr. Mo there, who seemed to be waiting for her. She halted her steps towards the side room and turned to approach Mr. Mo.
"Is Great Grandpa Mo waiting for me?"
Mr. Mo smiled and nodded, "Great Grandpa Mo has something to tell you. Let's go upstairs and talk, just the two of us."
Lan Tian followed Mr. Mo to the second floor, which was elegantly decorated. Potted plants were placed on both sides of the staircase, and calligraphy hung on the walls. To the left of the staircase was a tea room and to the right, a pharmacy.
Mr. Mo led Lan Tian to the pharmacy.
"Sit down. Great Grandpa Mo has something to show you." Mr. Mo went over to a shelf, rummaged for a bit, and then brought over a box made of purple sandalwood and placed it in front of Lan Tian.
"Open it and take a look."
