"Hey, I just made some cake, want to try it?"
Shanni remembered before she opened the door, she had just turned off the heat for her steamed cake and hadn't even lifted the lid yet. Two guests had arrived before she knew it, and she almost forgot because of all the chatting.
"Where is it? I'll go get it, you stay put." Yanzi stopped Shanni, who was about to get up, and asked familiarly.
"It's in the kitchen, just steamed and really hot, be careful." Shanni saw how straightforward the other person was and spoke without any pretense.
Being too polite could come off as distant, no need to be overly modest with guests.
"Don't worry about us, take care of your own belly." Yanzi waved her hand and quickly went to the kitchen. This was because her sensitive nose had already caught a whiff of that sweet scent.
Before Shanni had mentioned it, Yanzi felt too embarrassed to ask out of sheer greed for food, and to endure the smell was really hard on the baby, you know!!!
