Under the leadership of Ma Shijie, four people came to one of the building floors.
Upon reaching the second floor, they knocked on the door, and soon someone came to open it.
"Are you here?"
"Yes." Ma Shijie entered first, with Gu Lili following closely behind, scanning the living room which was simple and elegant without being luxurious.
Footsteps led to the bedroom, and upon opening the door, surprisingly many people were inside—men and women, old and young, likely the relatives and friends of the concerned party.
Seeing Gu Lili, the crowd quickly made way.
"Miss Gu, this is Mrs. Lin."
Gu Lili nodded her head, yet before she could speak, Deputy Head Lin Xingde extended his hand, "Hello, Miss Gu, thank you for coming to have a look."
"It's no trouble." She politely shook his hand.
Her gaze fell on Mrs. Lin lying on the bed, seeing her moving restlessly as though afflicted with agitation, muttering under her breath, unclear what she was saying.
