The six months came in a flash. Suzzy had been postponing her wedding to Pablo for a year now, and this time she had to get married.
She stares at herself in the mirror.
" You know it's not too late to run. We got you." Erica suggested as she fixed her hair.
" Erica!" Avery warned.
This wasn't the time for her to crack jokes, and they weren't alone in the room. Stylist and guards were everywhere.
" But she is right, we can run if you want, this won't be the first," Avery whispered to Suzzy.
Suzzy gave a reassuring smile. She knows her friends want the best for her, but running away from this wouldn't solve the problem. The only problem was that the person she wanted to get married to wasn't here.
Avery's phone vibrated, distracting her from Suzzy. Her eyes widened when she saw the pictures.
" Mom?" she panicked
"What's wrong?" Suzzy asked
Avery turned her phone to face her, and Erica frowned.
"What's this?" she asked
" I-I don't know." Avery panicked.
She doesn't get pictures of her mom often, but this was something that sent shivers down her spine.
Her mother wasn't in her usual ward but in another environment. She couldn't recognise this.
" Call Charles."
Avery nodded, her fingers trembled as she looked for Charles' number. She called countless times.
"He's not picking," she said, brushing her hand in her hair.
Panic took over her body. What was going on?
She was about to call Charles again when an unknown number came through.
" H-hello?"
" Baby."
Who is this?" she asked with a trembling voice.
Erica signalled her to put the call on speaker. She brought out her laptop, trying to track the caller.
The other person chuckled before saying;
" You forgot me so soon, Avery."
" Stop playing games and tell me who you are."
" Did you like the pictures I sent?"
" Y-You? What did you do to my mother?"
Erica mouthed to her to keep talking, she could track the caller if they continued to speak.
"I'm sending the address, be here within half an hour and yeah. Bring your friends. I suppose your friend had tracked my whereabouts?"
A notification came through when the caller hung up.
" The address," Suzzy said.
" I guess this is your lucky day, not to get married, Suzzy," Erica said, loading her gun.
" W-where did you get that from. Suzzy asked.
" Less talking, more moving."
Erica left the room with her gun as the duo followed her.
She had already assigned a driver for them to leave with.
" The location is an abandoned place at the other side of the city, it's just an hour's drive.
************************************
It took her forty-five minutes to get to the place. Suzzy had a pale face when they reached their destination, she should have changed from her gown to something comfortable.
" Are you sure this is the place?" Avery asked.
"Yeah."
They got out from the car, only to be welcomed by three morons.
Avery recognised the one in the middle.
" Alex?"
She should have known. It was going to be him. Who else can take her mother from a prestige hospital like the Edison's
