Scott sat cross-legged on his bed.
The room's lighting was dull, except for the soft glow of the holographic keyboard projected from his sleek wrist device — the TV-TW. His fingers flew across the virtual keys, his eyes sharp as he typed out new code and schematics.

He muttered under his breath—

But just then, his laptop, resting quietly at the edge of the bed, lit up with a soft ding.
Scott looked up and—
"YO!"
Emma's voice came through with energy as bright as the smile plastered on her face. She threw up a peace sign, her long legs tucked under her as she sat comfortably in her hotel room, fresh out the shower in nothing but a bathrobe and a towel wrapped snugly around her head.
Scott blinked and let out a small, dry laugh.
