A sleek strip of shadow snapped out like a grappling hook to latch onto the ledge of a ten-story building. A split-second later, Shadow rocketed into the sky, reeled upward by the black tether with inhuman velocity. His body arced masterfully through the air — twisting mid-spin as he folded into a perfect roll, then landed on the rooftop like a wraith in motion.
But before the top of his feet even kissed the concrete, he kicked off again.
BOOM!
His body launched like a bullet, barely visible, soaring across the alley gap to the next rooftop.
