Chapter 251 - Marvel 251

"Now, should we go get you all a Spirit Ring?" Arlecchino asked. After coming to this world, she had learned that here, people awaken their Martial Spirits as children, and only after obtaining their first Spirit Ring can they break through their bottleneck and begin cultivating properly.

Now that Max and the others had reached level 10—though Max was already at level 20—they all needed Spirit Rings to ascend in rank and truly start their cultivation.

"Yes, but not ours—yours," Max said, looking at Arlecchino.

"Mine?" she raised a brow in surprise as Max nodded.

"Yes. Your second Martial Spirit has no Spirit Rings yet. Let's go. I know where a 100,000-year beast is," he said, his eyes glowing faintly.

"Wait back at the city with the others. Once she gets the Spirit Ring, we'll begin our own hunts," he explained to the group.

Peter nodded, understanding, and stayed behind with the rest. Arlecchino followed Max, her eyes narrowing slightly in curiosity.

After they left the city, Max turned to Arlecchino and said, "Hold me—we'll fly. It's quite far from here."

She nodded without a word, took his hand, and flew into the sky. Thanks to her Titled Douluo-level power, she was incredibly fast, And Soon they reached the sea side.

"Is it in the sea?" Arlecchino finally asked.

Max shook his head. "No, Just continue moving in this direction we will find it"

She frowned but continued flying as directed. Eventually, they continued fly over the endless ocean for half an hour, and she asked again, "Where is it?"

"Well, there are many massive islands scattered across this sea. Since they're not marked by any sect or human settlement, many powerful Spirit Beasts make their homes there," Max explained. "We're heading to one of those islands."

Soon, an island came into view. Its rocky surface jutted up from the ocean like a colossal blade piercing the water. Clouds curled around its cliffs in spirals.

"Is this the island?" Arlecchino asked, slowing down slightly.

Max nodded. "Yes. This island is home to a beast over 122,000 years old. Its name is Blade-Tailed Boa. It's known for its deadly precision and sharpness—it rules this territory and has killed many 80,000 to 90,000-year beasts over the years."

Arlecchino hovered just at the edge, narrowing her eyes. "And I'm supposed to subdue or kill it to get its Spirit Ring?"

Max looked at her seriously. "Only you can. You're strong enough—and if you succeed, you'll not only get a Spirit Ring but also its Spirit Bone. Any beast over 100,000 years old leaves behind one."

"Why aren't you getting a ring for yourself then? Why make me get a Spirit ring first?" she asked curiously.

"I'll explain. You see, Spirit Rings below 10,000 years can be absorbed by most cultivators as long as they can withstand the spirit power. And beast above 100,000 years surely leave a Spirit bone, I need that Spirit bone to increase my Physical strength so that I can absorb a Higher age spirit ring," he said.

She stared at him silently for a moment, then nodded in understanding.

Max continued, "Besides, Spirit Rings you will be getting the Spirit ring make you more powerful"

She nodded, then glanced around the quiet shoreline before settling onto the warm sand. "I need to replenish my spirit power," she said softly and crossed her legs, closing her eyes in meditation.

Ten minutes later, her eyes snapped open, sharp and focused. "Okay then. Let's go get that snake," she said.

Max nodded in return, and the two of them soared into the sky once more, riding the ocean breeze as they ascended the towering cliffs.

"It's there?" Max asked, pointing ahead.

Arlecchino followed his gaze—and there it was: a massive white serpent coiled leisurely on top of a moss-covered mountain peak. Its scales gleamed with a faint silver hue, each one looking like a polished blade. Its eyes were golden, and at the tip of its tail was a gleaming, sword-like appendage. The beast radiated dominance.

"That's him. The Blade-Tailed Boa," Max confirmed. "Go ahead. This fight is yours."

Before she could respond, Max casually summoned a bamboo glider and leapt onto it, floating midair without effort.

"You can fly on your own now?" Arlecchino asked, slightly surprised.

"I wanted to enjoy your soft body," Max replied bluntly, without the faintest hint of shame.

Arlecchino gave him a sideways glance—half amused, half annoyed—but said nothing. With a quiet breath, she stepped forward toward the mountaintop where the serpent lay.

As she moved, her Martial Spirit erupted behind her—the Burning Heaven Rose, a top-class flaming Sword-type spirit. Her aura surged to full force, and her spirit rings followed: two yellow, two purple, four black, and one red—the hallmark of a high-level Spirit Douluo. The configuration alone was enough to strike fear into most opponents.

"Seventh Spirit Ability: Martial Spirit True Body," she said calmly.

The air shimmered around her as a her Burning Heaven rose, appeared in her hand and then began to change shape turning into an beautiful Crystal red like Sword with rose on its hilt.

The Blade-Tailed Boa stirred, lifting its head with a slow hiss as it locked eyes with her. Then, unexpectedly, it narrowed its gaze—and sneered.

A humanoid expression?

It launched itself forward with frightening speed, its massive body leaving cracks in the ground behind. The sword-tail gleamed like a drawn blade.

With a roar, Arlecchino swung her rose-sword in a wide arc, meeting the strike with a flaming clash of steel and spirit power. Sparks erupted, and the mountain trembled.

"Whoa… this guy can actually use swordsmanship," Max muttered from his glider, eyes glowing with interest. "This… is fascinating."

Below, Arlecchino grinned slightly. "Good," she whispered. "Let's see what you're really made of."

As the crimson flames of her Burning Heaven Rose flared behind her, Arlecchino faced the massive serpent head-on. With each breath, her aura intensified.

The Boa struck first, its massive tail whipping forward in a wide arc, aiming to slice her apart with its sword-like edge. The speed was staggering, but Arlecchino stood calmly.

"First Spirit Skill: Blooming Ember Petals."

A flurry of flaming rose petals burst outward, intercepting the tail. Each petal exploded like a miniature bomb on contact, deflecting the serpent's strike just enough for Arlecchino to dodge to the side.

"Second Spirit Skill: Flame Whip Vines."

Thorned vines of pure flame burst from the ground, wrapping around the beast's body. The boa roared and thrashed violently, its scales burning, but it tore through the vines after a few seconds, only slightly slowed.
