Hugh wanted to believe her. He had believed her.
Tianna had always come off as the pure, cautious type—someone who valued emotions more than momentary pleasure.
That was one of the things he loved most about her.
But now, watching her laugh with Ross, looking a little too comfortable in his presence, a sick thought clawed its way into his mind:
What if I was wrong about her?
No. He shook his head. Tianna wouldn't give in so easily. She wasn't that kind of girl.
She had too much to lose. They both did.
And yet, no matter how many times he told himself that, the image of Tianna in Ross's arms kept haunting him.
The way Ross looked so smug. The way Tianna looked… satisfied.
He clenched his fists.
Ross didn't know it yet, but he was about to become Hugh's biggest problem.
