"Why are you bringing this up again?" Shinho sucked in a breath.
This woman's mood swings were too fast.
"Why do you think?" Tsunade raised her head and playfully bit his lip.
"Ahem." Shinho changed the subject. "Let's not talk about that. There's something I need to tell you."
"What is it?" Tsunade was just joking; she wasn't truly angry. If she were, she wouldn't have waited until now.
"Uncle Jiraiya said he won't be attending the wedding," Shinho said.
"Really?" Tsunade paused, sighed, and said, "He has his own things to do. It's fine if he doesn't come."
"Mm." Shinho nodded. "Let's go home."
"Aren't you going to work?" Tsunade playfully punched his chest.
"I'm taking two days off." Shinho took Tsunade's hand and left the Hokage's office.
City of Fire could manage without him for a couple of days. Besides, the most important thing these next few days was his wedding.
As the groom, he could ignore trivial matters.
Arriving at their home, Shinho opened the door. He turned to Tsunade and said with a smile, "Welcome home."
"Thank you." Tsunade gave him a radiant smile and walked in.
She stood at the entrance, bent down, and took off her high heels, revealing her delicate toes.
"Sensei." Shinho stepped forward, embraced her, and asked, "Will you give me a daughter tonight?"
Tsunade froze, then turned around and kissed him deeply.
Although she didn't answer, her actions spoke volumes.
Clothes fell to the floor.
Tsunade's feet lifted off the ground as she clung tightly to Shinho.
That day, a new life was conceived.
In the past, Tsunade would have used her Yin Seal to prevent this, but not this time.
…
A new day.
August 2nd, the wedding day.
As soon as dawn broke, the entire Royal Palace, or rather, the entire City of Fire, was bustling with activity.
Samui led the Anbu members in decorating everywhere.
Shizune and Mabui, representing Shinho, greeted the wedding guests at the palace gates.
They were both dressed in kimonos.
"Sensei's wedding is so lively!" Fu looked around excitedly. "There's definitely going to be a lot of delicious food."
Hanabi glanced at her, completely lacking energy.
She turned to Hinata.
"Sister," Hanabi tugged on her sleeve, "when is your wedding?"
"On my birthday," Hinata replied with a happy smile.
Hanabi hesitated, wanting to say something but unsure of what.
"What's wrong?" Hinata noticed her expression.
"I was wondering what gift to give you then," Hanabi said quickly.
"You're my sister," Hinata said, patting her head. "You don't need to give me a gift."
"That won't do!" Hanabi said with a serious expression. "I definitely need to to give you some gift."
"Suit yourself." Hinata chuckled softly. "When you get married, I'll give you a gift too."
"Mm." Hanabi's mood suddenly dampened again, but she didn't show it.
Hinata was about to say something when she saw Ino Yamanaka in the distance.
Their eyes met, and both were momentarily stunned.
"It's Hinata and the others," Chōji Akimichi said with a simple and honest smile.
"..." Shikamaru Nara felt a headache coming on.
He knew that both Ino and Hinata liked Shinho, and today was his wedding.
Just thinking about it made him feel overwhelmed; his only option now was to escape.
"Hinata," Ino said with a slight smile.
Hanabi immediately felt wary.
"Ino," Hinata replied calmly.
Ino was slightly taken aback. S
he sensed a significant change in Hinata.
How to put it? She had become much more confident.
Had something happened between her and Shinho?
Based on Ino's understanding of Hinata, that was the only explanation.
"We can't just stand here chatting, let's go inside," Shikamaru coughed lightly.
"Okay." Ino came back to her senses and entered the palace.
"Over here!" A familiar voice called out.
They looked over and saw Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura.
"When did you guys get here?" Shikamaru asked with a smile.
"About fifteen minutes ago," Tenten thought for a moment, "We haven't been here for too long."
"Where's Lee?" Ino looked around and asked.
"He and Guy-sensei are still training," Tenten explained.
"Whoa!" Naruto exclaimed in amazement. "As expected of Lee, he's so hardworking!"
"Why didn't you go with them?" Chōji grabbed a handful of sunflower seeds from the table and asked.
"I was sparring with Sasuke earlier and forgot about it," Naruto scratched his head.
"Sparring, huh?" Shikamaru said with a sigh. "You two are indeed a lot stronger than us."
"Let's not talk about that." Sakura glanced at Ino and asked curiously, "What gifts did you guys bring?"
"Not telling you," Ino said, crossing her arms.
"A diamond kunai." Tenten held out a sparkling kunai.
"You... you're really rich." Shikamaru was stunned. "I just got him a shogi board."
"Limited edition potato chips," Chōji said, feeling a pang of pain.
The gifts they gave were just personal tokens, representing their well wishes.
As for the real gifts, those would be sent by their respective clans or parents.
"I... I already gave mine in advance." Hinata blushed, remembering the new training she'd received, and lowered her head.
Ino bit her lip.
She hadn't expected Hinata to give her gift in advance, putting her a step behind.
"Sensei and the others are here!" Shikamaru cleverly changed the subject.
Everyone subconsciously looked over.
The ninjas, led by Yamato, Kakashi Hatake, and Asuma Sarutobi, gradually entered the courtyard.
"Is that the Raikage from Kumogakure?" Chōji asked, cracking sunflower seeds.
"That's him," Neji Hyūga said, looking at the group of dark-skinned ninjas.
Besides the Fourth Raikage, there were also Darui and C.
"Chief!" Fu suddenly spotted Shibuki from Takigakure and ran over.
"Ninjas from all the major villages have arrived," Shiho Aburame said.
"Eh?" Shikamaru asked in surprise, "Shiho, when did you get here?"
"Just now," Shiho replied calmly.
"Woof woof woof!" Akamaru barked excitedly.
"He's saying hello to you," Kiba translated with a smile.
"When will the ceremony start?" Ino looked around but didn't see Shinho.
"At nine o'clock," Shikamaru paused. "There's still half an hour left. Shinho should be here soon."
...
There was a knock on the door.
Tsunade woke up with a start.
She looked at Shinho in front of her, dazed, then yawned.
"... Who's knocking?" Tsunade asked sleepily.
"Shizune-nee," Shinho said casually.
"Why is she banging the door so early in the morning... wait!" Tsunade suddenly woke up and sat up straight.
The blanket slipped off, revealing her beautiful, fair body.
"Brat!" Tsunade asked angrily, "Why didn't you wake me up?!"
She remembered; today was her and Shinho's wedding day.
But she had been exhausted last night, falling asleep very late due to their activities which ineviotably brought a life to thew world.
"We'll make it in time." Shinho kissed her cheek. "You look less beautiful when you're angry."
Tsunade glared at him and quickly got up.
She got dressed, walked to the door, and opened it.
"You guys finally woke up. The guests have all arrived and are waiting for you," Shizune said with a helpless expression.
"I'll go wash up." Tsunade took a deep breath. "Has the makeup artist arrived?"
"Yes," Shizune nodded.
"Aren't you fucking going to get up?" Tsunade turned to Shinho.
"Coming!" Shinho wrappe a towel around his waist. "Don't worry, even if we're late, they won't dare say anything."
"Don't waste any more time." Tsunade pulled him to the bathroom.
Shizune couldn't help but smile.
She thought to herself that when she got married, she would definitely wake Shinho up early to avoid this kind of delay.
After they finished washing up, Shizune called in the makeup artist.
"Your Majesty," the makeup artist, a woman in her forties, bowed upon entering.
"Let's begin." Shinho closed his eyes.
Wedding makeup didn't require heavy makeup.
Plus, they both had excellent features, so it only took ten minutes to do the touch up.
Shizune walked in front of them, feeling slightly dazed.
Thinking back, the events of these past years felt like a dream.
Who would have thought that Tsunade would marry Shinho? And even more unbelievable was that she herself would also be getting married.
"The bride and groom have arrived!" Shizune came back to her senses, realizing they had reached the entrance, and announced loudly.
The guests chatting in the courtyard immediately fell silent.
They all looked towards the gate in unison.
Shinho and Tsunade walked in together.
Gasps of admiration filled the air.
Although Tsunade was older, her Yin Seal and natural beauty made her no less stunning than any other woman.
Now, dressed in a pristine white shiromuku, she radiated purity and gentleness.
Ino pursed her lips, feeling a sense of defeat.
She realized that she truly couldn't compare to Tsunade.
A hint of envy and anticipation flickered in Hinata's eyes. For the first time, she desperately wished her birthday would come sooner.
Hanabi stared blankly at Shinho.
A thought popped into her head:
Brother-in-law is really handsome.
Of course, he wasn't just handsome; he was also powerful and capable.
There was no one in the entire ninja world more outstanding than him. Hanabi subconsciously clenched her fists and silently apologized to her sister.
Samui and Mabui walked behind Shinho, taking their places as family members.
As the Hokage's secretaries, they shouldn't have been in this position, but no one dared to object.
Mabui quickly found the Kumogakure ninjas.
Hesitation welled up in her heart.
Were they still considered Kumogakure ninjas? Both physically and mentally, they no longer belonged there.
"Mabui," Samui glanced at her, "the ceremony is starting, don't space out."
Following traditional wedding customs, after the bride and groom entered, it was time for the congratulatory speech, which was Shibi's responsibility.
Shinho and Tsunade stood before him, listening attentively.
