Summary:
Immensely difficult as well
Blue walked down the hall, Pin-Steven and his organic hiding inside her hood. They had consumed a large amount of matter before they left, so now it was just getting them to the bubbled gems, and working from there.
They made it to the Topaz guards, who saluted her as she made her way to Yellow's tower. On the inside, she was internalling in turmoil, so many conflicting emotions raging inside of her. Blue was in the midst of recontextualizing the last hundreds of millenia in her mind, the thought of her being so wrong, so ignorant, and so…abusive to who she loved the most for so long making her sick with every step that she took.
Pink wasn't perfect, that itself didn't change…but was that really wrong? With her joyous smile, her eagerness to please, and her silly little dances…wasn't that exactly why she loved her so much? Her, Blue, a gem who felt grief nearly all the time, loving the gem who could always find a way to be happy.
The reason she kept trying to shift her was to avoid White's wrath … was White wrong? Were they supposed to embrace these imperfections rather than destroy them? Was this the pain and cruelty they've subjected hundreds upon millions of gems since nearly the beginning?
And then came the little creature that somehow was and wasn't Pink…the small, fragile, yet emphatic (seemingly) organic that held her gem, that held her aura…yet wasn't her. Pink wasn't so…outward about what she wanted, she'd never stood up to any of them in such a defiant manner…and she wasn't capable of the emotional understanding this creature displayed.
Or maybe she was, and six thousand years apart from Pink allowed her to grow up…to change for the better while the rest of them regressed and stagnated the entire time.
Once inside, she gently lowered the two of them down as the lights turned on, revealing bubbled gems … and Yellow, staring at them with a mix of confusion, frustration, and disappointment. "What … are you doing?"
"Taking our friends back." Pi-Steven replied with a glare.
Yellow took a deep breath. "What are you doing, Blue ?" She didn't acknowledge Pi-Steven, Yellow didn't respect or appreciate Pi-Steven.
"Right right, ignoring me, why not?" And the young child rolled their eyes, as if used to this treatment.
"Take Pink back to the tower, this instant." Yellow commanded.
This was the moment of truth. The moment that would either change things for the better, or brand her as a traitor forever against her Homeworld. "..No." Either way, she was going to stand by Pink's choices, and support them, even if she didn't fully understand them. "She prefers to be called…Steven." She could see the visible joy on the child's face, as well as the exact second Yellow mentally snapped at her defiance.
They stood up after cracking their seat, anger radiating off her in sparks, probably the most emotion she's shown in years. "You can't keep bending the rules for her Blue! If we do it for her, we have to do it for everybody! We need to set an example, all of us!"
"Well maybe that's a terrible way to live!" The organic that stood right beside Steven yelled back. It was starting to get easier to see where the child learned to be so defiant. "Maybe you should bend them for everyone!"
Her fellow Diamond didn't even acknowledge them. "Take Pink back to the tower, now ." Yellow said, hands clenched as a form of restraint.
"I won't." Blue stood her ground.
"Then I'll do it myself." She reached out to grab Steven, grab them just like how they grabbed pink, hard, aggressively, painfully, everything they did just hurt Pink more and more…
In what felt like eons passing between them, Blue felt her arm subconscious move, and before she could fully process what she was doing, Blue found herself slapping Yellow's abusive hand away from Steven. Nothing but silence filled the room, Yellow staring at her with shock and disbelief. Blue, not wanting to back down ever again, filled her hand with energy and launched Blue back.
"Oh crap, this escalated too fast!" Steven shouted as they ran across the room.
"What are you talking about, they're attacking each other instead of us for a change!" The other organic said as they lept towards the bubble containing the Crystal Gems.
"You would use your powers on me!?" Yellow shouted, rushing at her. Blue grabbed Yellow's arms, the sheer force causing cracks along the entire building. "Against you fellow Diamond!?"
"Isn't that what we did to Pink!?" Blue shouted back. "Subject her to our powers and anger almost every day!?"
"I protected her, and you! All I've done is try to be there and protect you both!" Yellow shouted, sparks emanating from her body. "After all I've done, after she abandoned us, you'd dare to attack me!?"
Blue continued to cry, focusing her aura so it would only affect Yellow as they continued to fight. She would come close to grabbing Steven at certain points, but Blue made sure to keep them out of her harmful reach. "I'm not going to just stand here and do nothing along with you as this world continues to harm our Pink!"
Those seemed to be the words that truly sent Yellow over the edge, as she charged her into a wall and sent them flying out of the building and into a nearby bridge. "Guys!" Steven called out to them with Yellow's bubble containing the Crystal Gems.
"I haven't done anything!?" Yellow shouted. "When Pink was gone I let you cry with my eyes every day! When no one else could be bothered I bore the weight of White's gaze more so than any other!" She reached into her gem, channeling all her energy into a … handle? "When I learned that the ones I cared about could be shattered I trained myself beyond our basics that have worked on everyone, because I never wanted to lose you like we lost her!"
Blue could only watch as Yellow pulled out a trident with a plasma like design, the three points bearing the shape of thunder, and the handle a jagged flame, swinging it as the sheer heat radiating off it began to melt the building and ground. "... She was holding back on earth, wasn't she?" The bushy organic asked in a quiet voice.
"Oh big time." Steven nodded immediately as they floated down with a shield protecting them from the emmencing power bouncing off of Yellow, popping the bubble that contained his friends. "Come on guys, we could really use Alexandrite right about now."
With Yellow's power blasting them, help from the Crystal Gems was far from likely, and no sane and rational gem would come in to help them, half from fear and half from the conflict of two Diamonds fighting. Which was why Blue had to put her faith into her words. "She was suffering in silence for so many years, Yellow! Just like every gem, and me! I know deep down you're suffering too!" Blue tried to reach her. "You know deep down, you're not happy!"
She paused as she watched Yellow look like she had visible regret, only for her to aim the trident at her. "My duty is not dependent on my happiness." And with that, Blue felt external pain for the first time in eons, a hot, burning sensation spreading through her body.
"BLUE!" Steven cried out for her, using his shield to knock the trident's aim off. "Stop doing this, you care about her, you care about each other!"
"I have to do this!" She shouted back. "I have to protect her from her own actions!"
"We'll maybe you could stop protecting her from actions and from that!" The bushy organic pointed at … a ship coming in to crash at them?
========================================================================
"Keep it steady!" Star screamed at the gem piloting the shop. "Give us ramming speed!"
"But, those are the DIAMONDS!"
"Who do you think we're ramming!?" It has been a bit of a trip, keeping the gems in line with fear of Darkstar going awol on them, and punishing Marco for his terrible actions, but they finally made it back, now ready to kick ass.
"And that's Steven!" Said bruised boyfriend pointed to the small figure of her brother.. "He's pretty close to Blue Diamond!"
"Yeah, he can't help but get in the middle of danger." Star grumbled as she turned back to the piloting gem. "Fine, only crash into Yellow." Best part of losing her usual magic was not losing consciousness just by being around these bastards.
"Crash into Yellow Diamond!? Are you insane!?" The Quartz screamed in fear.
"Well, I need to do something to stop them,, and this is the best-" The Diamond in question raised a trident at them. "… Did she always have a weapon?"
"It just occurred to me that the Diamond's were probably holding back tremendously back on Earth, and we got as lucky as we did on sheer surprise and miracle power." Marco summarized. "Now what?"
"Now we get the heck off this crazy thing!" Star coated herself in the dark magic and grabbed ahold of Marco, rushing to the nearest wall and ramming right through it, breaking out and falling to the sur
"Star!?" Steven shouted with surprise as the ship they were previously on was blasted with an immense beam of hot Yellow energy, nothing more than the gems inside of it unphased as the rest was reduced to molten scrap.
"Stev en!" The dark magic died down instantly upon seeing her brother was unharmed for the most part.
"Star?" Kelly wondered.
"Kelly." Star said, a little less enthused.
"Kelly!" Marco shouted in shock.
"Marco!" Her brother shouted with happiness.
"Steven!" Her boyfriend also shouted.
"Marco …" Steven's hand slowly clenched.
"Steven?" Marco asked with confusion.
"Marco!" He rushed at the boy with violence in his eyes.
"Steven!" Marco began running away in the opposite direction. "Oh sugar honey iced tea!"
"Get back here so you can pay for that signature!" Steven rammed into Marco back and pinned him down. "You'll pay for forcing therapy sessions on my sister!"
"Is…is that something I should be worried about?" Blue, for some reason on the ground and steaming, asks in genuine concern, something Star didn't realize the Diamond's had.
"Steven!" Star ignored it for now rammed into her brother with a giant hug. "I got you bro, we can beat Marco up later."
"Star!" Steven returned the embrace. "But, but how? You still have magic? But I thought…?"
"Turns out White's power didn't touch my dark magic, so that's a semi-win there." She grinned. "How about you?"
"I talked down Blue Diamond, working on Yellow." A bit of thunder rang out from behind them. "… Kinda forgot we were in the middle of a situation." They turned to the furious gem glaring at them as energy and heat rolled off her body.
"Even when you don't try you just bring chaos, don't you?" She asked, now aiming her trident at them.
"And you can't help but hurt the people closest to you!" Steven stared at Yellow Diamond. "Is this really what you want!?"
"This is what White Diamond expects of us!" She shouted. "From the smallest of Mika to the hardest stone. We have to be an example of perfection!"
"What part of this is perfect!?" Star blasted herself in the air so she could meet Yellow on eye-level. "Blue Diamond on the ground in pain and crying as you attack her!? The buildings and structures you're continuing to destroy without a single regard for what's around you!?"
Yellow actually lowered her weapon down for a single second, looking at Blue, still on the ground and stirring to get up. "I've traveled to many places, I've met many people and I'm a part of a really big family." Steven continued. "And one of the most important lessons I've learned is that if every porkchop were perfect, we wouldn't have hotdogs."
"... What is that supposed to mean?" Blue and Yellow asked at the same time. Right, never had food.
"It means if you guys keep focusing all your time on being perfect, if you waste all that time on little details that don't matter, you're gonna get rid of everything that's good, that makes you happy." Steven explained. "Like Hotdogs."
"Or like me trying to stay safe all the time." Marco raised his hand.
"Or like me being the perfect princess for Mewni." Star added in.
"Like Pink." Blue said, looking at the fellow Diamond.
Yellow stared at her, weapon vanishing as she fell onto her knees. "Stop it Blue … stop using your powers on me."
Blue looked up at the Yellow gem with a curiously confused look. "I'm not."
Yellow began breaking down, tears falling down her face. "Then … why is …"
"Because this is how you feel." Star carried on. "Because you don't want to hurt your family…no one in their right mind wants to hurt their family.
"But … I have to …" She cried. "If I don't, White will … I don't want her to hurt them …"
"That's why you need to stand up for yourself, and for who you love!" Kelly yelled out. "Whether she cares about it or not, White is hurting you, and you shouldn't let her dictate what you do or how you feel. If you truly love Blue, love pink, if there's any part of you that loves yourself, then you won't let her keep doing this!"
"And you won't do it alone." Steven finished as Blue walked over to the crying Diamond that wasn't her for a change. "We'll help each other, and face her together."
Yellow Diamond sniffed as she buried her head in Blue's embrace. "...Alright…I'll help…just…just give me a moment…"
"I can't believe it….we…we really talked it out." Star felt a huge sense of relief suddenly wash all over her, making her fall over in both exhaustion and happiness. "Oh, thank corn, I never thought we'd actually get this far…no offense Steven."
"None taken, I know personally how difficult it was." Steven groaned as he looked down at the CG's gems in his arms. "I thought for sure Amethyst would be out by now."
"They took a direct hit from me." Yellow said, slowly getting up. "It'll take a few days to recover from that."
"So we have two Diamonds, no crystal gems, and the four of us …" Kelly nodded. "I think we'll be okay."
"Not in the slightest." Oh stars, that voice still gave her the heebie-jeebies
========================================================================
Kelly and the rest of them all jumped when White Pearl appeared from behind them. "You've all caused quite a scene, and disobeyed orders as well." With a gesture of the hand, the ground shook.
"What's going on!?" Steven shouted.
"White Diamond … is taking matters into her own hands." Yellow spoke with fear. She looked up at the giant white head, which for the first time since they got here, began to move, floating up and over to the Pink legs, connecting at the waist.
"That should have me laughing, but I can't help but tremble in terror." Kelly murmered as Steven got in front of her.
"You will all go to your rooms now." White Pearl told them as the eyes on the head opened. "Punishments will be decided when we fix your mistakes."
"Exactly…which rooms do you want us to go to?" Huh, who knew Blue Diamond had sass?
"Blue, shush, you're going to make things worse!" Yellow tried to hush her fellow Diamond.
"Alright, enough is enough." Steven said, walking up as the Diamonds stared with bafflement. "We are going up there, and we are going to talk with White Diamond." He pointed at the giant head, before looking confused. "Star, did you get back up?"
"No, I immediately turned the ship around the moment I gained control of it." Star narrowed her gaze at the sky. "Weird, it almost looks like a pair of arms…." Before they could finish, the previously destroyed and mangled Yellow and Blue armships swooped in and double punched the mecha robot right in the face.
"It's Earth!" Kelly realized. "They came in to help!" Stars brimmed in her eyes as they continued to slap White's head furiously without remorse. "And in style too!"
"White is going to be so furious." Blue muttered quietly.
"How are they even piloting those things?" Yellow asked.
"Let's just say we have a lot of pretty smart friends." Marco commented as the Blue ship socked White right in the jaw, making it finally topple over. "I get the feeling Peridot's been watching a lot of anime."
"Indeed I have, Marco!" The green gem in question came floating down on a trash can lid … covered with a single star right on her chest."I even updated my look. I am an official Crystal Gem!"
"Just in time too!" A yellow orb rolled right in front of them, coming out of it being Bismuth, deck in a snazzy looking silver armor. "Cutting an upper crust, I can finally cross that off my bucket list!"
"So, I take it you finally got your side of the job done?" Lapis came in next, looking the most casual with sandals and a pair of what looked like sweats and a crop top."
"Two out of three." Steven replied. "Right now we just need White Diamond to stop this."
"This was a bad idea from the start." Blue murmured as she and Yellow looked on, shaking and fearful. "This might be your last chance to get off the planet with your friends."
"We can't, we literally have no other option." Steven stood up. "Pink ran away, Rose fought a war, and both failed completely. If we can talk it out, if we can fix our family, then we can fix everything!"
"But for White Diamond to fix something …" Blue said, gazing at the fallen robot. "She would have to admit it's wrong first."
"As someone with astronomical standards, that's not likely to happen." Yellow watched as it stood up. "We'll need to keep her still."
"Well luckily for you, we have two fully functioning ships!" Peridot gestured to the two arms … as a thumb fell off of Yellow's ship. "... Nobody ever needed a thumb before, right?"
"It's unfortunately the only option we have." Yellow sighed as she and Blue held out their hands, forcing the shoulder areas of White's half of the ship down. "Steven, take a knee and keep her grounded." It was so strange to hear these ladies actually say Steven's name after all this time.
"Right." Her boyfriend complied, moving his body as the pink legs fell down to a kneeling position. "I'm going to have to take these things to fight sometime." He muttered under his breath. True, kicking Mina with these would be pretty satisfying.
They watched on as Blue and Yellow connected their arm ships into the sides of White's, forcing the bot to lean forward and present their palms to them, allowing the group to step on them and get as close to White's head as possible. "White, please, listen!" Steven shouted. "So many gems are hurting, even Blue and Yellow have some things they need to say to you!" He gave them the floor, letting the familiar faces be the icebreaker.
Yellow turned to Steven with a minor glare, before sighing, looking up to White with visible stress. "White! W… We … we need to talk! About us." She looked down, sighing. "I conquered so many worlds for the sake of the empire. I do everything you ask, and I do it all perfectly. But your very high standards put us all under a lot of pressure." The mighty gem admitted. "A gem could crack under so much … pressure. We diamonds may be hard … but we're also brittle." Ie, godly powered woman children who couldn't comprehend their own existence.
"White….we used to be close. There was a time when we could all be happy, but we're not now." Blue said as she looked down. "Pink saw how hard our jobs were, and she did so many silly things for seemingly no reason, but there was a reason, she wanted us to smile." Blue clenched her hands. "I know it's not my job to be happy, but I find it harder and harder to enforce your rules when they make me and everyone around us miserable."
"What do you say?" Steven asked. "Will you let us into your head? We can make a plan to save everyone." He turned to the two giant women. "And you can start with helping Blue and Yellow." Her boyfriend smiled.
The eyes stared at them all silently. Maybe they finally got through that thick skull after all. Then the eyes started to glow bright and … hit the Diamonds head on. "AA GGG!" They screamed out. They could only watch in horror as their gems … lost color. Slowly, the Yellow and Blue tones faded into a Monochrome White as their skin slowly matched, before they slumped.
"What … I …" Steven looked absolutely floored, before they began to move, like marionettes, jerking about and resting tall, a … familiarly disturbing smile on their faces.
"There we are." "All better now." They spoke one after the other.
"That … that …" Star stammered. "That's what happened to … her Pearl …" Complete assimilation…. No free will or agency….just puppets…lifeless…gray…toys for White Diamond.
"Hey Marco …" Kelly asked quietly. "About that group therapy session …" She didn't have time to get out what she wanted to say as White's bubble took the now gray Diamonds into the ship, making the arms shake and tremble.
"Guess she doesn't exactly want to place us down gently!" Marco called out as the arms fell to the side of the robot, making everyone shake and tremble.
"Hang on, we got you guys!" Lapis announced as she grabbed ahold of her as Bismuth, floating thanks to Peridot grabbed onto Star. "Steven, hurry up and grab on!"
"Okay, I just need…AHHH!" The boy lost his balance as the gemstones he was carrying" The gems!" He jumped off without a second, falling down to get them.
"Steven!" The group shouted.
========================================================================
Marco, who had been holding onto Star, was now falling with the others after Steven jumped off. "Steven, come here, we need to slow our fall!" She shouted to her brother.
"No, the gems are gonna shatter if they hit the ground!" Steven announced as he focused his attention on trying to reach one of them, forming a shield as he used it to slide on what looked like a pipeline. "Star, can't you use your dark magic to fly or something!?"
"Barely, it takes a lot of concentration just to stay afloat!" Star responded.
"I can take a crash!" Kelly shouted, also falling with them. "If I can survive a punch from the Diamonds, this'll be a piece of cake!"
"That's still too much of a risk to take, especially with that thing trying to kill us!" Marco pointed upward at the robot, whose arms were barely being held back by Bismuth, Peridot, and Lapis.
"I just…need… a little space!" Steven narrowed his gaze as he made a leap off the pipe, and grabbed ahold of Amethyst's gem. "Come on Amethyst, come back! We need you! You're good in situations like this, you're amazing!" He held the gem close with tears in his eyes. "Please, come back!" The boy began to glow, his body shifting until …
"Hello Homeworld!" Smokey Quartz shouted. "... Wait what?" The fusion looked confused. "What am I doing here?"
"Holy smokes!" Star shouted with elation. "Steven, you can fuse the gems out of their gemstones!"
"This has to be the most ironic power Steven has considering his history with it." Kelly gave a snort.
"Tell me about it." Smokey rolled their eyes. "But meh, Steven's become close to everyone, might as well embrace it fully." They defused, Amethyst returning with a new exposed shirt.
"You go ahead to Pearl!" The gem said, kicking him to the gem in question as she shapeshifted into an owl. "Owl, be fine."
"You know, puns are really starting to grow on me." Steven laughed as he grabbed ahold of Pearl's gem. "Come on Pearl, you're strong and smart and protective of all of us..come dance with me!" Steven gave a little ballerina glow as he merged with the gemstone.
"What a dandy hello, it's Rainbow 2.0, coming again with a complexion quite aglow." The flamboyant fusion said as they slowly descended to the ground with their umbrella.
"Well at least we got a flier." Marco noted. "Because Garnet's about to hit the ground!" Along with them.
"Well that won't do at all, I tell you what." Rainbow smirked as they closed the umbrella, sticking out their tongue as they rode on top of it like a witches broom. "Rainbow Quartz Power, ACTIVATE!" And rocketed to the ground and grabbed the stones, using the umbrella's wand like nature to make everyone else float right beside them. "Now that's two stones…with one bird." He laughed as Amethyst flew next to them.
"I can't tell who brings out the dorkness more in him." Star commented as they were finally able to put their feet on the ground.
"I like to think dorkness can only be brought out by those with both intelligence and innocence." They waved their hands. "It was nice seeing everyone again." They defused, Pearl reformed with a new jacket based look.
"Nice, two down, two to go." Amethyst laughed as she got reformed into her normal state. "That's a great look for you Pearl."
"Thanks, I like to think I pull it off better than you." She said with a teasing smirk.
"Wow, look at who learned how to talk smack." Kelly snorted as the rest of the team floated down.
"Okay, good news, we're not dead yet!" Peridot yelled out chipperly. "Bad news, we're about to be!" She pointed up at the robot, struggling to regain its balance to step on top of them.
"Has anyone noticed we have really bad luck when it comes to giant women?" Marco asked. "Like, I can't really recall a single time any of us successfully took one down on our own without some kind of trick or help."
"We don't need to take her down, we just need to talk." Steven looked at the unformed Ruby and Sapphire. "And we're going to need the whole team to do that."
"Steven." Star looked at the gems. "You never actually fused with either of them before. Are you sure you can do this?"
"I'm not going to get anywhere by doubting myself. I believe in the Crystal Gems." He looked at said gems with a determined smile. "I believe in us, that we can always find a way to save the day."
"Spoken like a true leader." Bismuth nodded approvingly. "Now hurry, she's about to step on us." Everyone pointed up, and saw the giant pink heel coming right at them.
"Garnet." Steven looked at the gems. "I know I disagree with your choices a lot, but right now we need to be on the same page." His body began glowing a fiery orange. "You've helped me learn that fusion isn't something to fear or to be ashamed of, it's a part of my life that I'm happy to embrace!"
The boot started to drop as Marco jumped onto Star, holding her tightly as it crushed them … but they were still alive. "Awww yeaah!" Spoke a new voice, the group turning to see a four armed woman of flames with a happy grin and bulky body. "You better step off!" And shoved the giant foot away. "Don't worry everyone, your rockin pal Sunstone is here to help."
"Wow…I….I guess I didn't know what to expect from Steven and Garnet fusing." Marco wasn't sure what personality traits were used to get this…cheeto puff.
"Strong woman with an energetic child." Kelly noted. "This seems more like a Star and Garnet fusion in all honesty."
"It's more like Steven feels safe to embrace more of his silly side when he's with one of us…heck, that's kind of the deal with all his fusions." Amethyst pointed out.
"Yeah … wait, I can't even fuse anymore." Star realized.
"It's cool, we can figure that out later." Sunstone noted. "Right now, we gotta get up to that head, and show her what for."
"Right, we need a plan."
"We don't need a plan, when you've got the good old power of believing in yourself!" Sunstone made small gloves with pink suction cups on their hands, before jumping onto the leg. "Come on, one and two, three and four. You can do it!"
"They feel more like an exercise instructor or motivational speaker." Marco pointed out.
"When it was with Rose, they were basically a cheerleader." Pearl commented as White Diamond swatted them away. "Like we said, she formed less often than Opal."
The two of them landed, Garnet now sporting a new star shaped pair of shades and shoulder pads. "Alright … Sunstone didn't work." Steven got up. "Do we have any other plans?"
"Well if you're still up for fusion …" Garnet said, getting up. "There is Obsidian."
"Obsidian, but we haven't formed her in ages. Not since Beach Creek was founded." Pearl said with concern.
"Wait, which combo forms Obsidian?" Kelly asked.
"All of us." Amethyst answered, causing eyes to widen. "It's like this mesh of minds with nothing but shouting rage and raw nature."
"Given how the Diamonds are a universal force of nature, I think this is probably the most appropriate time for her." Steven nodded as he got ready to dance, only for Star to place a hand on his shoulder.
"Steven, I want to say, if I don't get the chance later…." Star hugged her brother. "I'm proud of you, I'm proud of all that you've done and how much you've grown."
He blinked, before hugging back. "I'm proud of you too Star … I'm glad we got this far in life …" They pulled away. "Any tips? Sunstone was the biggest number of people I ever fused with."
"Don't talk aloud, and focus on one task." Garnet answered. "We'll handle the rest from there."
The four of them began to move. Pearl with an elegant grace, Garnet with a smooth and fluid motion, Amethyst with an electric energy to them, and Steven with his ballroom dancing. All of it ended with them jumping on top of each other into a sort of pyramid, as a bright, almost magma-like glow formed.
The group had to move back far as a giant foot almost crushed them. They looked up … and up … and saw an eight armed GIANT. Their skin was black like midnight, a large bundle of hair streaming out from behind them, bursting with orange heat and cinder that almost seemed volcanic. Their face, consisting of a top mask and a four eyed stare filled with fire. The fusion let out a single sentence that described them perfectly. "AAAAAAAAAA!"Raw nature.
"Whoa…now that's a fusion." Kelly whistled in aw. "Well, we can't have them hogging all the fun."
"Couldn't agree more, bush head. In fact, I prepared a little something for you before the trip." Bismuth reached into the inside of her gem, and pulled out a sword with a pink like her last one, but with a different shape and a star-like handle on the bottom. There was also a green tint along the edge, adding a tree-like theme to the subtle markings along the blade. "You can call it what you want."
"Hm…How about…Coral Evergreen." Kelly smirked as she tested it out. "A little bit of me and a little bit of Steven attacking with every strike."
"Nice name." Marco gave a smirk as he ran to Peridot. "Now come on, we ride and give Obsidian the leverage they need!"
"For the giant woman!" Peridot shouted, using her powers to float them up. Time to give the diamonds what for.
========================================================================
Climb. This is intense, this is very intense. YOU'RE TELLING ME DUDE, I HAVEN'T DONE THIS IS HUNDREDS OF YEARS. I keep forgetting how loud your voice is when we do this outside of Opal. Everyone relax, we can handle this. We're just climbing while everyone else distracts.
Climb, climb straight. AND AT THE TOP WE KICK SOME ASS! Wait, was that Sugilite? When you fuse with more than two, sub fusions can voice themselves at times. Don't worry chap, we're sure to handle this little task no problem. I say this has been a lovely performance thus far. It's always nice to shake things up from the usual solo act.
"Rejoice in my presence, Homeworld!" Peridot loudly shouted as she carried Marco, who was dangling from the handle of the trashcan she was using to hover. "I have come back, not as your servant, but as your savior!"
NICE TO SEE PERIDORK STILL HAS AN EGO. Can't we help them with our future vision? Too many eyes, we'd get overwhelmed just like when Star brought out the fusions. Yeah, we need to keep it cool and level if we're gonna rock this plan out right. IT'S NICE TO HAVE THE EXTRA COMPANY. ARE WE PLANNING A SURPRISE PARTY? NO, WE'RE JUST DOING ONE THING. Climbing. Continue climbing.
"Come on Dark magic don't fail me now! Su personic Screaming Monkeys!" A bunch of monkeys used sonic nightmarish scratches to attack the giant robot's heads as she was carried by Lapis.
I'm glad for the extra help, but something tells me we're really underselling the danger of Star using dark magic. HEY, IF IT WORKS IT WORKS. NOT LIKE THE WORLD EVER ENDED DUE TO A SINGLE ATTACK. WE BEG TO DIFFER.
"Come on, the almighty White Diamond can't hit a couple of 'organics'?" Kelly taunted, hanging from Marco's leg. "Talk about a terrible aim!"
The robot aptly responded by taking a giant if slow swing towards them to slap them away; though Kelly avoided it by running across the swinging arm and landing on top of Obsidian's giant hair. That girlfriend of yours has a death wish. AKA, SHE'S PERFECT FOR YOU. Now is not the time to talk about my love life. Well if not now then with your mother when we get back? Come on Sardonyx, let them have this.
After another swing, Marco also landed on their hair, Star floating down and gazing at the eyes now focused on them. THAT CAN'T BE GOOD."Alright! Obsidian, keep us moving forward, Kelly, hit anything that comes close, Star, blast the arms! If we do this right, we may have a shot at this!" Marco shouted.
We need … A shield!? A WHIP!? Some gauntlets!?A spear!?A WRECKING BALL!?A hammer!? A YOYO!? Suction cups!?A BOW!? An umbrella?ALL?… ALL!! They formed their shield, spear, WHIP, gauntlet, and MASHING THEM UPINTO QUITE THE INTERESTING FORM, a handle with more than meets the eye.PLACING IT IN THEIR MAGMA JAWS, They drew forth A SWORD THAT CAN SLICE THE HEAVENS THEMSELVES!
"What in the name of corn!?" Star shouted as Obsidian took one mighty swing at an approaching mechanical hand and sliced through it like it was a piece of butter on a hot knife. "We really could've used her a long, long, LOOOONG time ago."
"This is the most amazing thing of all time, ever." Kelly said bluntly with stars in her eyes. Looks like the lovely little lady is quite impressed, cha p. Yeah, yeah, just keep slicing the bot.
Slice, must slice. Obsidian swung, cleaving through the other hand as it approached, straight in half as it fell to the ground. WELL IT CAN'T ATTACK ANYMORE, NOW WHAT? There should be a vulnerable spot on her stomach, since we're here and all. Won't do us much good if we can't get into that head.
Not having much choice in the matter, Obsidian heaved the sword backwards and struck the bot right in the torso, standing atop of the handle and used it like a spring board, jumping right on top of White's face. Ah yeah! We made it! SHE'S FALLING RIGHT INTO THAT WALL THOUGH! WE NEED TO BE SMALLER NOW!
Obsidian defused, instantly ending their strained, yet loving existence.
