Another week has gone by, as anyone can see, construction is being made on the island, which is called Cider Island, which is ironically next to Cider Lake. The lake does look nice and has fish for people to catch.
Some homes were already made thanks to having perfect weather and resources available. Mainly having to chop off all the trees on the island, and gather stone from other places, as not only the home had to be made of wood, but you could also live in a stone home. You just had to hope you get a fireplace ready for the winter.
Still, more was being made as half of the rebellion now had a roof over their heads. The remaining ones had to stay in the cave as it was more comfortable with the extra space. New Mondstadt still had a long way to go.
And the same could be said for the Dreemurrs.
"Instructor, you showed you can achieve when you are at your hardest so prove that to me again!"
"Come on Teacher, I believe you can master the spell! You have more determination than anybody else, excluding Frisk."
Frisk and Chara had their weapons in their hands, focusing on channeling their magic but with something that isn't Anemo, Cryo, or fire/Pyro. It was something that each had been working on after managing to get the others to see what they needed to do to have a stable home. Everyone has a part to play, even in the making of a new city.
Anyway, what are the two doing? Well, let us see.
"Akzent!"
"Absteigen!"
Frisk spoke a spell with a huge boulder being brought up as if it was ascending, but when Chara spoke her spell, the boulder came down as it descended. It clearly breaks in half. Seeing the result, the two high-five.
"Okay, we successfully created and mastered the ascending and descending spells."
Frisk spoke as they felt they could create more as it was the 9th and 10th spell they created.
"Yep, along with the light spell, the stunning spell, the disarming spell, the location spell, the fixing spell, the sizing spell, the reflection spell, and the analysis spell."
They count the numbers with their fingers while Chara opens up a notebook as they write the recent spells. It was a good thing that this particular notebook was once the Torn Notebook as it is now the Fixed Notebook. It even helped with the Cloudy Glasses which are now the Clear Glasses.
It turns out that if a WEAPON or ARMOR is ever damaged or is dirty, the stats will decrease and will stay like that until it gets fixed or cleaned. Which also explains the +2 attack stat of the Torn Notebook as it was even lower than the Toy Knife. A notebook should have done more damage than a plastic blade.
Anyway, back to the spells, why it wasn't elemental related, it is because these spells fall into a similar magic category where time is. Time isn't one of the seven elements of Teyvat; it is their own element that is unique and special, as time is mysterious itself.
And if time has its own power and abilities, then why couldn't Frisk and Chara do the same, with Determination and with a little bit of their SOUL power, the spells they mention were able to form. It took hours to get the perfect results as you cannot just master such spells in a short amount of time.
And that the spells they made were ideas they got from their own world, spells they wished were real from movies or books. And the fact that Chara was a bit impatient when trying to create the spells, as a result, an explosion happened which flung them high in the air.
They were lucky that Barbatos was around, as he caught Chara by summoning his Anemo powers, which became more powerful as there were more people now worshipping him.
And speaking about Barbatos, Frisk realized that after recruiting more people, none had the blessing of Istaroth. Even if they went around the city using her blessing as a detector, they couldn't find a single blessed citizen.
They even suspect that it was the Imunlaukr clan who were blessed by Istaroth, as nobody within their group found at least one of the members. Nobody within Mondstadt knew what happened to them, as they thought they were hidden very well, or that the clan had died out.
It was like they didn't even exist at all, or perhaps there was some side effect from the blessing as it did come from one of the Four Shades of Celestia. So perhaps her blessing was too much for ordinary mortals to handle. Hopefully whatever happened to them wouldn't get noticed by Decarabian.
It was still strange to think about, as they knew the clan migrated to Mondstadt. So, unless they had any leads, it would be impossible to track at least one member down. All Frisk had to do was hope that someone within the clan would hear of the rebellion and join them.
Also, speaking of Decarabian, it was still surprising even after a week that his lover would join in the rebellion. At first, the Dreemurrs did ask if there were other reasons for joining, and if both of them were being honest, they were still skeptical of this.
Amos didn't blame Frisk or Chara for being suspicious of her as she is Decarabian's lover, well, former lover, the moment she left the city. And by the looks of it, she didn't seem all that effective in the way the two looked at her. As if she had already seen it many, many times.
She still explains her reasoning even if Frisk had already heard, but unlike what Frisk heard from Scharlach. It wasn't just how she saw her lover act and view of her and her people, but the way it caused everyone. Everyone lived in fear, that was the most obvious thing anyone would see in Mondstadt but within that fear was anger that nobody could do anything to stop it.
So the moment when it was known that Amos became their god's lover, everything went downhill for her. She was hated by her own people as they all simply believed that she would be the same as Decarabian. She was viewed as something they could shove their anger into; had it not been for her being at Decarabian's side, then she would have been hurt or worse, killed.
It makes Frisk wonder if Chara did have the right to be worried about being seen as a demon. If Amos was hated because of her status then would Chara also be hated should the corrupt power be revealed? Still, it isn't right to take everything out on a girl who was picked by Decarabian to be his lover.
Even though Amos had agreed to it, it also seems she very well knew the consequences of that decision. I guess she didn't know just how much it would affect her. And that wasn't the only thing they heard that sounded like nonsense and was unjustifiable.
The most stupid thing they heard when Frisk got back was when one of the clan members said that one of the people he tried to recruit snapped at them for not taking them sooner as he just left everyone else to suffer in the hands of Decarabian. Frisk was shocked when they heard this and criticized the person for being a coward who stayed there until someone came back from the outside.
It wasn't just one but a few people who mentioned the same thing; it was really ridiculous. These scary cats could have just man or woman up and just leave but no, they remain the cowards they are and take their anger out on the people who are brave enough to venture out to the unknown.
The clan had to survive dealing with the freezing storm out there, nearly freezing to death had they not met Ventus and Barbatos, while those people had to suffer just by hiding inside with no cold being passed through by a powerful wind barrier.
And the fact that these people knew that the clan did venture out of the city but fortunately didn't rat the clan out. Which obviously they figure that if anyone had told the God of Storms, then the person who told him would be punished for not stopping them. Frisk can already imagine that happening.
And the fact that the people they recruited didn't follow the others' example. At least this army didn't blame Amos just for her status, they just felt pity for her as she was chosen by the god who had a different view of love.
Still, Frisk offers their compassion and kindness which Amos accepts as she admits it was hard to be such a kind person in the city where everyone hated her. Chara even spoke about their past before falling into Mt. Ebott but not everything after. Frisk themselves were surprised by how their twin was willing to share their past as only they knew the whole story.
Amos even shows her own compassion as Chara thanked her for it. It seems that the only thing these two have in common is the way people treated them. At least Amos has a friend who can understand what she is going through, even if she hides it very well. Chara can easily see through those who attempt to hide their real feelings; they see it many, many times.
Anyway, Amos got along with someone else, and that person was Ventus. Both of them share their weapon affinity for using a bow. They even learned bow techniques from each other. Frisk swears they can see a love story just by seeing the two of them walking with each other.
Not only that, it even got to the point where they were seen walking together. Frisk imagined it was a date as Amos enjoyed being near Ventus. Heck, even Chara joked about the two being on a date. Which caused them to be launched into the air by Barbatos.
Seems like the wind spirit is enjoying seeing his friend walking alongside a girl. And to make it more enjoyable, he made a story of how Ventus had a crush on her. Who knew the wind spirit would be a story maker, and use the wind to communicate? It would have made it more amazing had someone used a harp for music.
One day before meeting Barbatos and possibly before Amos's new status. He was captivated by her beauty, watching her from afar. Even trying to make music to catch her attention. But it seems that he was so shy that he couldn't use his lyre within her ear range, and just didn't dare to even walk up to her to start a conversation.
So he had to watch the woman he had feelings for being taken by the God of Storms. It really shattered his confidence in falling in love, but not his willingness to help his nation gain freedom. And the moment he learns that Amos was in their army, it shocks him to the core. He didn't think he'd ever see her again when she went to Decarabian's side.
He was even nervous to be around her. But after getting to know her, he realized that he truly didn't know her at all as it took his friends to gather the courage just to start a conversation. So, with just a week, the results are in front of them. And it was very sweet to see.
Frisk only hopes to see the two of them hold hands, and act like both of them are on a date. Wait… Frisk suddenly had an idea!
"Hey Chara, do you think we should try to set Ventus and Amos up on a date?"
Chara, who was just about to talk to Venerare about the spells, looked at Frisk with interest. If they're being honest, they too wanted to see romance bloom between their two friends. Plus, it would be an excuse to tease Ventus about how lucky he is to have a friend like them.
"Hmm… That would be meddling for us to be involved with something that the two of them could just build up, but it does sound fun to do. What did you get? I am aware you used to date Muffet. Speaking of that, what exactly happened between you both?"
"...Classified information. Anyways, I suggest, wait! Gunnhildr, Venerare! Would you both help us find a perfect spot for a date for Ventus and Amos?"
The moment the word "date" reached the young woman's ears, their face turned red, as if Frisk, as well as speaking for Chara, was asking both of them out on a date. Until they realized who it was for as their expressions became dark and depressed. But they recovered quickly upon again realizing who it was for.
Venerare had an idea as she spoke of her suggestion.
"Well, may I suggest an area not far from here. There are lakes, cliffs, and mountains though it isn't as big as Pilos Peak. But at least it is safer. I also think the sunset would make it more romantic as it is only the wind and sun making nice weather."
Chara's nodding is improving as they've been to where she mentioned. Normally, there is more wood and stone, as there are many trees and lots of mountains. It makes sense of how well she knew, as she is a member of a clan of pioneers.
Frisk looks at Gunnhildr, waiting for her to respond, but to everyone, it seems she has no suggestions or ideas. Moments later she shook her head no.
"I haven't been exploring as much as everyone else. I mostly stay here to supervise the construction. But if you wish to know date information I will suggest preparing dinner for the two of them. Something that the two of them will like, although we have limited options as to how many ingredients we have."
Frisk nods in agreement as they begin to recall the meals they'd made over the week.
"That will work! Hmm… We do know that Ventus likes steak, apples, skewers, toast, and grilled fish. Yeah, that's pretty much it unless I missed a few things. I also believe Amos likes some of the things that I listed. Chara, do you have other options?"
"Unless there's cocoa powder, then I will proudly say he'll like chocolate. But atas, the very ingredient for chocolate, hadn't been found either."
Chara clenches their chest as if they're suffering in pure agony of having no chocolate. Or the fact that chocolate hadn't been invented yet. Venerare could only look at her teacher in confusion as she wanted to ask what "chocolate" is, but figured it would lead to conflict for some reason. But she did ask a question of her own.
"Do you both wish to make the date today, tomorrow, or someday?"
The question got the two Dreemurrs to look at the sky and at the sun. The sky was still bright blue but both of them knew that afternoon had already begun. Only a few hours till sunset.
Should they decide to plan the date today then they'll have to already set up everything for the evening. But if tomorrow or someday then they'll have time to plan out the entire date. So, either just wing it or be more prepared. The two looked at each other, then made a decision.
"...Speedrun!" x2
To the women's astonished gaze, they saw the two begin preparations, which were made within just a minute. Then both of them asked Gunnhildr and Venerare for help, and the two agreed as the four of them began to set the two friends up on a date.
Whether it will work in the end or not is not determined, all that matters is how it will affect the two. All four of them hoped it would go well.
