The banknote in his hand vanished like the wind, so fast that Fatty didn't even have time to react.

"I must have dropped it when I was buying groceries this morning," the woman's voice sounded completely unbothered. "But still, thank you."

The door slowly creaked open, and the woman glanced at the group. Her gaze suddenly paused on Banana Wolf for a moment before she stepped aside. "If you're not in a hurry, come in and sit for a while."

"Thank you, Sister Qing," Jiang Cheng said casually as he walked in without hesitation.

Fatty followed behind Jiang Cheng, and Banana Wolf trailed at the back.

The three of them sat in a row on the sofa, behaving as obediently as children visiting an elder's home.

Weng Qing turned and headed to the kitchen, returning with a few cups and an exquisite teapot.

The room was draped with thick curtains, and only a small lamp cast a dim, almost lifeless light, creating an eerie atmosphere.

What slightly surprised Banana Wolf was that Weng Qing didn't look as old or peculiar as Jiang Cheng had described. Her attire was quite modern, even by today's standards.

Her loose, wine-red nightgown couldn't hide her stunning figure, and her jet-black hair cascaded down her back. Her pale face was adorned with light makeup, but her strikingly red eyes gave her a haunting, morbid beauty.

The woman in front of Banana Wolf gave off a completely different vibe.

Jiang Cheng openly stared at her, while Fatty, being timid, either kept his head down or only dared to glance around.

Weng Qing slightly bent over to pour tea into their cups. After straightening up, she smoothed her slightly messy hair and her captivating eyes lingered on Banana Wolf. "And this is…?"

"I'm Banana Wolf," he nodded awkwardly, introducing himself before quickly averting his gaze.

Meeting her eyes made his heart race.

"Sister Qing," Jiang Cheng asked innocently, "Do you live here alone?"

"Yes," Weng Qing replied, her gaze shifting from Banana Wolf to Jiang Cheng. "I live alone, with two dogs for company."

She pointed toward the bedroom door with her slender fingers. "They don't really like visitors, so I've locked them in the bedroom."

Weng Qing's voice seemed to carry an eerie power—it was mesmerizing, almost as if it could steal one's soul. Banana Wolf instinctively clenched his hand.

As if responding to her voice, scratching sounds came from the bedroom, and faintly, the low growls of dogs could be heard.

What Weng Qing said matched the landlord's description, which meant their initial assumption was wrong. It wasn't a ghost hand in the bedroom, but two dogs.

"You haven't moved out yet?" the woman asked, lifting her cup and taking a small sip.

The moment she put the cup down, Jiang Cheng's pupils trembled. He saw that her lips were stained with a crimson hue.

What was in the teacup wasn't tea—it looked more like blood.

Staring at the woman, Jiang Cheng suppressed his inner turmoil and forced a naive smile. "Sister Qing," he said, pursing his lips, "I was planning to move out, but I'm worried about you."

"A woman as charming as you living alone here—what if some bad person sets their sights on you?" Jiang Cheng clenched his fist, his voice filled with concern.

Fatty quickly picked up his teacup, ready to take a sip to calm his nerves.

But as he lifted the cup, he realized—this was a haunted house, and the woman in front of them was a ghost. So, this tea…

Fortunately, Weng Qing's attention was entirely on Jiang Cheng. She smiled, her blood-red lips curving into a chilling grin.

"Worse than you?" she said, her voice soft and sultry.

Fatty couldn't help himself and downed the tea in one gulp.

Banana Wolf shuddered slightly, then also hurriedly took a sip to calm his nerves.

The tea was stronger than expected, and he couldn't tell what had been added to it.

Jiang Cheng pretended to be flustered, acting like an inexperienced young man. Weng Qing didn't press further and turned her gaze back to Banana Wolf.

Banana Wolf, who had been sneaking glances, immediately looked away, pretending he hadn't been watching.

"You don't live here, do you?" Weng Qing's voice rippled like water, and even the lingering echoes were overwhelming for Banana Wolf.

He had never had a girlfriend before, and although many girls at school had pursued him, he had never encountered such an openly predatory gaze—as if she wanted to devour him whole.

"I… I don't live here," Banana Wolf stammered nervously.

Weng Qing's lips curled into a slight smile, and she seemed more interested in him than in Jiang Cheng. After refilling his cup, she said, "You seem very nervous."

"No, I'm not," Banana Wolf's mind raced to find the right words, but his mouth trembled as he said, "I just… I didn't expect you to be so young."

"Oh?" Weng Qing glanced at Jiang Cheng and Fatty, then looked back at Banana Wolf with a smile. "Did they say I was old?"

Her arm draped over his shoulder, and her long, cold fingers slowly traced his neck. In an instant, Weng Qing was right beside him.

The icy sensation lingered on his neck, like a serpent coiled around him.

As Jiang Cheng was thinking of a way to help Banana Wolf out of the situation, Banana Wolf suddenly looked up. The cold fingers on his neck were suddenly enveloped in warmth, and Weng Qing raised an eyebrow in surprise.

Banana Wolf's fingers lightly brushed the back of Weng Qing's hand, causing a slight tickle. "Does this mean… I've caught your attention, Sister?" Banana Wolf covered Weng Qing's hand with his own, his innocent eyes reflecting only her image.

Jiang Cheng's expression immediately changed.

Gradually, the coldness in Weng Qing's eyes melted away, and a different kind of emotion appeared on her face as she looked down at him.

Jiang Cheng took a moment to check the time and realized 18 minutes had already passed.

Damn it.

If they stayed any longer, their teammates outside might make some rash decisions—though Jiang Cheng didn't fully trust them either.

But if they left now, they would miss their chance. Time was of the essence, and the mystery of 808 was like a sword hanging over their heads.

Weng Qing seemed to notice Jiang Cheng's movement and tilted her head. "Do you have somewhere to be later?"

Jiang Cheng pursed his lips.

But a second later, Banana Wolf spoke up leisurely, "You guys can go ahead if you need to." He glanced at Jiang Cheng, his tone almost as if he was worried Jiang Cheng might ruin what was coming next.

Taking advantage of the moment when Weng Qing turned away, Banana Wolf gave Jiang Cheng a subtle nod.

It was clear he was still nervous, but he seemed to have gained some confidence.

Whether they could leave safely, however, still depended on whether Weng Qing was willing to let them go.

"It's so rude to leave right after arriving at Sister Qing's place. Would you allow me to stay and chat with you a bit longer?" he asked Weng Qing, his tone and gaze both sincere.

"Creak—"

The tightly shut door cracked open slightly.
